Little surprises really do a lot, small gifts, trips to new places in the city or somewhere close by, maybe cooking for her. . . .It doesn't have to cost money. A sweet letter in her mail box or a massage after a long day would be nice. Even a well worded sms might brighten her day. Also, don't spend every moment together. There is something to be said for not talking everyday or see each other all of the time. If you two have your own separate lives and have separate interests, then when you spend time together the marginal utility of the moments together increase. Both of you can pursue your own hobbies or spend more time with friends. Don't be discouraged by boredom. Just become very thoughtful and creative. Some ideas: 1. Trip to a museum 2. Walk in the park 3. Sunset on a beach 4. Group outing with friends like a dinner or a game night 5. surprise flowers or gift 6. Sweet letter in the mail 7. Playing sports, video games, or other kinds of competition (Let her win sometimes) |

So tasteless and unladylike. . . . Where are their mother? What disgrace? Twitter really makes things no better. How many fights start or keep going because of that rubbish? Ladies and gentlemen please keep your private disputes private. |
Yeah, the most popular American music is party music and most American rappers that Nigerians get exposed to are considered trash by most Americans who actually like rap. There's always better, more meaningful underground artists who get stupid for dollars and go commercial. Those who keep it real don't get deals. |
Does anyone have some lavender hand soap? |
Your partner should be the first person you confide in, but if you need further advice look to someone who is happily in a relationship and can be objective. Many couples would benefit from having an older, established couple to serve as a mentor. Parents are inefficient because you and not your relationship are their priority. You need someone who won't overreact or use the information to harm you. |
KONG! tis all |
I'm not assuming anything but the fact that when people good to church for business other than God, they often leave unfulfilled. |
I miss it when my mom would tell us stories. Sometimes she would read to us out of books and other times she would tell stories dramatically. ![]() |
In some cases, wear clothes that you would likely be wearing to perform the job. The fit, cut, and modern style will be important especially in customer service jobs. You need to look appealing and approachable. Be more formal than less formal, but you should be comfortable in what you have on. Comfort will translate into your performance. Dress formal, comfortable, be mindful of accessories http://youlookfab.com/2010/04/29/what-to-wear-to-a-job-interview/ http://career-advice.monster.com/job-interview/interview-appearance/what-to-wear-for-job-interviews/article.aspx http://jobsearch.about.com/od/interviewattire/a/interviewnot.htm WARNING: Failure to exhibit good hygiene will negate all efforts to dress well. Brush teeth, comb hair, smell good but not too strong, clean and smooth hands and finger nails, conservative hairstyle, etc |

Prayer and testing are your two best choices. |
I'm still in school, but I chose to continue school rather than going to work because I really like being a student. The working world seems so boring and lonely. I like hanging out with my friends, only being expected to perform well on exams, going to events and parties, and not worrying about all the little things. I also really enjoy learning and arguing about different ideas. (Going back to reading) ![]() |
I really don't like it when guys at church try to smile at me too hard for Jesus to appreciate. I'm there for worship and to better my relationship with God, not some man. It really distracts from the worship experience. I actually go out of my way to make sure I sit close to the front and next to older women. I don't give my number out at church nor do I entertain advances before or after service. Go to church for God and the other types of relationships will come and do well. She should have told him to pray on it and go about doing good. You're more bound to find a good woman while doing good than you are to find one stalking about church yards. ![]() |
All this bro, do you all have the same mother? |
Hey relax, Send me your e-mail. How unlady-like to post my email on Nairaland, |
I wear mine from time to time. |
@ Prince: Those black girls who wear "go get'ems" get gotten and played by men all the time. It may be appealing but the price they pay is a lot of vulgarity and disrespect. I'd rather be pretty, presentable, and tasteful. Save the sexy for my future husband, thank you. Another pain: Squeezing in to things that don't fit, but thy look so nice. I've had my share of dressing room blues. |
Marriage is good so saith the lord. I'm so fabulous I need to share it with someone. I believe in love, commitment, and happiness. I want my children to have two loving and supportive parents. |
I like going to parties with friends, but now that I'm older, I don't do all that fancy stuff. I'm there to socialize, dance, and have good drama-free fun. I don't usually dance with guys for many of the aforementioned reasons. It's less drama to dance with my friends and maybe strike up nice conversations with new people. One time my friend and I were at a club chatting with this older guy, he was telling us about how he chooses who to approach. He said "See that girl there. . . She's really pretty but I shouldn't know what your panties look like before I know your name." It left a lasting impression on us (no panties). |
It's a competition. We don't want to attract other women, we want to out do them (sometimes). Yes, the attention of men is nice, bu my standards would be so much lower if I based on what guys really care about. I've had men try me while I was in sweats, no make up, plain hair, walking to the market . . . Some women like dressing up: the colors, the patterns, the "Ahh" moments when every person in the room looks at you with wonder. |
Unless we were very good friends before we started dating, I end relationships and move on for good. We can be cordial and friendly, but allowing him to come over? Nope. It's too intimate for me. As others mentioned, the reason we broke up will have a lot to do with the final decision. It's usually best to let that season pass. |
Can you imagine him sober? |
@ Relax: I suppose if you would like to converse beyond the pain of beauty then we should take it elsewhere out of the respect of the purpose of the OP. Back to the topic at hand: I was a tender-headed child, so I hid the combs and brushes under the mattresses where my mom and aunties couldn't find them. "Amaka. . .Where's the combs? I know you hid them" I never got free of painful hair experiences until I started doing my own hair, then I began to understand how it all works. |
Lol, is that your dad in your pic? |
