now, we have pidgin(not pidgin English) and broken English. people usually take both as same.
Pidgin is a language used for communication by parties who do not speak same language. eg, when the Portuguese came to naija, they communicated in pidgin thereby bringing about words like pickin, boku(meaning plenty).
broken is a poorly structured english, which i believe we call pidgin in naija.
this is a very broad topic and i am looking to learn more.

So, what about the guys or ladies who have been 'real' for several years and they are still very single? Meanwhile they look all around and see posers hang out with the 'trophies'. The same people who are telling you to be urself will now start laughing at you because you look and stink like a failure after several years of failed hunting.

Hence the reason why most boys switch gear and start lying to get what they want . . it is survival. Like someone rightly said, a lot of happy marriages today would not have been if the jobless guy at the time had told the girl that his parents and siblings live in one room in ajegunle. Crucify me for this but that is the plain fact of life.

If you have been around for a while, you will realise that life is not fair. I know several people who did not get jobs until they started lying on their resume - and theyre doing extremely well now. Same exact thing were talking about here

Bottom line - stop chasing them ladies. Focus on achieving what will make the decent ladies want to be proud of you.

I was in a church wedding just this last weekend in a catholic church. A Rev. father joined them and went ahead to counsel them and gave an exhortation on wedding. I was wondering for a Rev father to join and talk of marriage, I expect one to talk on issues that they have experience on.

They don't marry and would not know what goes on in a family and what it takes to raise and train children. So I personally believe they are not fit to talk on marriages. What do you think?

I agree with you my dear, only that those Rev. Father too grew up in a family. LoL. Atleast for a few years!
