FamilyRe: Pls Advice A Friend Of Mine,is Important. by Amanee(f): 7:58pm On Feb 08, 2020
ctbhola:
I do understand you,cos I myself did a little traditional wedding for my wife,,but what is hurting me the most is that she went for a legally married man from her tribe, while she knows that the man is legally married to an akwa ibom woman who has children for him,,must she becomes a prostitute or an adulterous woman simply because a man has not paid her bride price, must she pay the man back with following a married man,,where is the Christian virtue in that? And the man has already made up his mind to do it,but with what she has done,,even me I will not accept her back,
You and your friend are hypocrites

Where was the thought of Christian virtue when he was nacking and impregnating her not once, twice or thrice but five times.

You people are lucky that the God we serve is merciful if not, it's from 'your friend' that the condemnation is supposed to start.

FamilyRe: My Brother-In-Law Dips His Hands Inside My Pot Of Soup by Amanee(f):
You are obviously the architect of your problem

Women always get this wrong during relationships, whatever you don't like, express it! Don't bottle it up and wait till marriage to address it. I don't know why you'll be having ulcer over issues in your relationship that you're waiting to address in marriage, it won't work. This is why plenty men feel like their wives have changed in marriage.

Speak your mind and speak it loud, stop hiding your dis-ease in the relationship because you want to please one man and trap him. It back fires in the end.

So sister op, you have no choice but to keep complaining while everyone starts saying that you've changed and your brother-in-law ostracizes you. You caused it by not speaking out from the beginning.

You say you don't want advice but I'll still chip in my two cents...

If you really don't want her to come, maintain your stand and do not be swayed by sentiments but be prepared for the relationship between your mother-in-law to deteriorate even further and also prepared to be seen as the resident evil daughter-in-law.

FamilyRe: My Wife Doesn’t Respect Me Since I Lost My Job by Amanee(f): 8:21am On Jan 28, 2020
In my own opinion, you fvcked up big time...

You not only hid vital information from your wife, you deceived her, that's really painful for any human to bear not to talk of the one that you're supposed to call your partner. Its wrong on all levels.

Going forward, you need to call a family meeting where you can take responsibility for your actions before your family and listen to everyone's opinion on the matter. The truth is that, marriage is not for everyone but when they tell some of you, you'll think they hate you.

Running to your mother's house won't solve the problem and hiding out from your family like you're doing too, won't solve it either. There is a lot of bad blood and negativity that needs to be aired out in the open. Until that is done, none of you will really move forward.

Abandoning your kids in the care of their mother is not wise and would only compound issues on the long run. It will breed a lot of resentment and bitterness towards you. Talk to your children now while you still can, teach them not to make the same mistake you did and show them that although you're imperfect, you still want to be there for them.

Trust me, if you're able to win your kids over, your wife would have no other choice than to forgive you and let go of the past because what is done is done. But you must first start from that family meeting where you air out the issue and take responsibility for your actions.

I wish you the best.

If you are referring to me as part of the people, then you must be in serious denial that this will end well.

Family and money remain the two things that serve as anchors in this treacherous world. They have unwittingly lost both.

If you can't see this Am.anee, then get off my mention.
How did they lose both?

You're the accountant that knows their net worth. And you're also an unknown member of the Windsor family to know categorically that they've lost both family and money.

Obviously like Jon Snow, you know nothing and you're only spewing unverified information and allegation from the outside. The worst is the hatred you have towards your own race because of white media and the fervor you're using to bash a woman that is a hundred times better placed and wealthier than you.

Stupidity and racial inferiority can do a lot to somebody's psyche as is obvious from the odious responses on this thread including yours peacettw.

Read up on your black history, you'll never read

Oya have common sense na, whosai

It's to be castigating women that you know, shioor!

peacettw:
To Meghan,

I am terribly isappointed in you. I don't care if this was Harry's decision, your role as a wife was to knock some sense back into him. For pete's sake, this decision will not end well...not for you or for your son. Go and ask Prince Edwards who abdicated. At least, he got to keep his title and was getting some funds from the Royal family.

Ironically, now, the pressure on you both will increase as you strive harder to maintain your marriage and financial upkeep and lifestyle. You threw away the life long cushion that will ensure you never had to work in the real sense of it for your livelihood. Your only job at the time was to look pretty, smile for the cameras, attend some royal functions and act the part.

Now you both will work like peasants, lose friends who were only there to gain access to the royal family and face the pressure that marriage is bound to bring. You may think your life will be better but trust me, it will not.

I wish you both good luck because you will need it to survive your marriage and the press who will forever hover around you to record your decline into nothingness.

Always stay true to yourself no matter how hard it is. That your husband is an unrepentant cheat and liar and he's not going to change because you caught him. He's only going to add more finesse to his dealings so you won't catch him red handed again. Kindly ask yourself these questions and answer to obtain clarity:

Can you live with this?

20 years down the line would you be happy with your decision to stay?

If your answers are yes;

Kneel down and pray for him
Learn to dress more sexily for him
Give him sex more often
Don't nag him
Focus on your child/children, all men are probably dogs anyway
Learn to forgive and forget his indiscretion
Buy him condoms and advise him to use them so you don't end up with STI/Ds
Watch War Room

If your answers are No;

Please divorce him because that lying and cheating scumbag doesn't deserve you

crackkhaus:
Would you prefer your husband to be present more, or work hard in his job to provide for you, a job that probably keeps him out of the house for most of the day or even weeks in some cases?

You really can't have both.

But if for some reason you feel you can have both, list the jobs you know in Nigeria that provide that sort of freedom.
What are you saying?

How are single moms doing it?

It's not freedom to spend more time taking care of your own child, some men are doing it why can't you?
FamilyRe: Taking Care Of My Wife's Niece : Please Advise Me!! by Amanee(f): 5:04pm On Jan 14, 2020
Acidosis:
Work is a valid reason. Men do onshore/offshore jobs, men work as sailors. Men work as military men, etc. You don't expect this category of workers to sit in the house changing diapers. Some of us entered boarding school at 9. We were left in the hands of total strangers. Some parents are not overprotective and some don't have trust issues.
All I hear is excuses, excuses

So if we remove your earning power or job as a man, you'll be useless to your child as the p in psycho? Too bad

And point of correction taking interest in your child's welfare is not having trust issues. Lots of parents towed your path in times past, little wonder we have dysfunctional youths today. The narrative can be changed and it needs to. But men must first take responsibility and man up

Ciao aunty 'decent' grin grin

Jewessgratitude:
Your point exactly? Do you know the sacrifice it requires for a lady to be decent? That is what most of you ladies of this generation can not do as you've traded your decency for high profile jobs by sleeping around with bosses and chairman to maintain that status.

I have been in the labour market before but was frustrated out of the system due to all those temptations from bosses and big clients.
Ive told a little bit of my story how I was asked to resign after I turned down a chairman. All because I want to keep my decency. And several other ordeals until i carved a niche for myself to be on my own. It may not be huge but im contented and can only pray it gets better. So I dont know exactly what you mean by what you said up there. Or you think we don't know what keeps

What do you have going for you? Or you think we dont know what you do to keep such jobs? At the detriment of your decency?
SMH.
RomanceRe: I Unintentionally Exposed My Girlfriend by Amanee(f): 12:25pm On Jan 14, 2020
Let the so-called decent girls get a good job and maybe people will notice that they don't have only their 'decency' going on for them

Jewessgratitude:
Well you have just seen what she does behind you. I wonder what you're still asking this question for.
Do you know how many she's been inviting over?

When you see a decent girl, you'll jump her pass. Its those agaracha, because she works in a bank or has a high profile job, you'll want to die on top.
Marry her at your own peril.

On the side though
Why have girls moral value degenerated so badly? Is it because too much exposure in school? Hmm... I must watch out for My girl child. Even though she's gonna be raised in this useless generation, she'll not be like them. She must be like me cos I'll use the same iron hand my parents used on me.

I mean at my age I can't even invite a man to my house let alone a stranger. Good home training sure goes a long way. Hmm.

A man can't do much especially when he has to leave his house in the early hours and return late at night. I think it's better (and safer) to have the child live with a trusted sibling than hire a live-in (female) nanny.
That's not even the point, the point is women are stepping up and getting demanding jobs to help the family these days. Men should man up too and take responsibility for their kids (no pun intended). Work is no longer a valid excuse not to be a hands on dad
