The president is quite over-confident. He speaks as though he can control the forces of nature or is able to foresee the future.

In making his promises, he is not circumspect. The days when politicians just make big promises to appeal to their citizens are long gone.

It's best he speaks factually at all times, he does not have a magic wand and his failing to keep his promises and meet the high expectations he sets himself up for might lead to the breakdown of law and order.
Exactly the issue I have with him, he's always talking vaguely

How possible with the current damage is it for things to turn around quickly

He would clock one year in just four months time

Can a dollar go at least below 1k before May?

He's not investing in local business, many business are on the verge, just managing to sustain their entity

Thank God for solar but that one is also expensive

I wonder how he wants to turn things around very quickly ooo

Our security architecture is all shitty but this oga on top will never do anything to cleanse themselves instead they would cover up their own

The government really needs to put light into these agencies, so many corrupt practices even amongst them, that's why they've been failing all wars back to back

All these still boils to one thing, government failure in investing in education

Many people online are half educated, cos our learning centres are absolutely dustbin

So when you don't train people well, how then do you expect them to behave accordingly?

In as much as I am tempted to highlight the foolishness in your comment, I'll focus more on highlighting the crass ignorance of your statement. Some of your try to sound wise and end up exposing the emptiness in your heads. Show me one of the civilized worlds where I have to pay for transformers purchase and maintenance, pay for installation infrastructure including cables and even prepaid meters and still pay for the units. The nauseating attitude of comparing developed parts of the world with these parts shows just how completely uninformed some of you are when trying to sound politically correct
I get one sister she dey always talk like that before, when she got to the UK, she called me herself say naija should never be compared to them too, say the levels is not even close at all

We are still a baby, imagine in my area na one big man and his friends find money buy the transformer, wey landlords now trying to pay them back, we service the transformer ourselves, buy cables and all, still go find money to buy meter and you dey compare us to International whatever

werey that's what they are

Compliance is a separate thing which is why there are specialized licensing institutions for every sector, if the so-called illegal miners were licensed they would have a specialized warehouse in their quarry for storing explosive
We are saying the same thing in a different way, I also have a business so I know how funny registering a business can be in Nigeria, all you need is to tell them you have a business and boom it is being registered

Shouldn't CAC start going deep by ascertaining if truly the business is serving the purpose of which it is being registered

Na only tax our government sabi, when it comes to being responsible, they will evict the scene

You can have CAC without a certification from the regulatory sector undecided . What makes your business legal is proper linking from regulatory body CAC is just a means of registering your business name with government and it doesn't guarantee your legitimacy. This is the reason why banks obtain licence from CBN, Telcos obtain license from NCC before there operations can be legitimate. undecided
Omo Naija matter get as he be

Shey the business registration no suppose cater for all of these ni?

You people sha want this to be called a terrorist attack badly so you can be happy that Yoruba people are going through this and find a way to link it to them voting against Obi.

Lot of people like you are on Twitter running around sad because it was not a terrorists attack.

One would think if Obi suddenly becomes the president, that no disaster will
Ever happen in Nigeria again and everyone will suddenly become immortal.
That's a man made disaster, probably caused by the corrupt tendencies of our government

Irrespective of tribe, we need to make our leaders accountable, who knows if they are also hiding somethings

We all know Nigeria police and intelligence agency are slacking. I don’t know whether to say they are completely useless because of how overstretched they are.

However, the people should be the intelligence themselves. The earlier we Nigeria know that policing is a shared effort the better for us.

Nigeria is underpoliced and that is the reality. 300k police cannot manage this much population without people giving them information.

If people in the area know that illegal miners store their mining stuffs in the house which they know is very bad for safety. They should be the one to go report out there to the authorities.

Then if the authorities fail to act, that is where the problem then lie.
The problem is not report, the issue is acting and not even leaking out the info to the culprits

Nigeria policing system is the worst in the entire world, and when the government had a great opportunity to salvage it, they killed their people instead.

A corruption infested police and an obsolete force can't do nothing in a country experiencing crisis.

SmartPolician:
7. All hotels are to allow people who come in from the explosion site and around it. The state government will settle them.

So these hoteliers expect the government to pay them? undecided

The day someone I know in America experienced something like this, she told me that hotels in that area volunteered to lodge and feed them free of charge... nobody was going to pay them a dime.

She also experienced a shooter opening fire at shoppers at Walmart, Dallas. Motorists pulled over to drive people to their homes, while residents took shoppers (people they don't know) into their homes, giving them food and helping them calm down.

On the other hand, in Nigéria, I have witnessed a situation where a luxury bus had an accident around 5.30am and passengers died in their numbers. Passers-by were searching the victims and obtaining them.

Brothers and sisters, this life isn't about hypocritically going to church and mosque, or reading the Qur'an and Bible every day....we need to genuinely have some humanity in us...
Ahswear we are too inhumane in this part of the world

Ordinarily, if you are there you should help in your own way without thinking about remuneration but not here in naija ooo

No need for name calling. Does Obi want to join APC, so he knows what’s going on? Why did Obi leave PDP after almost 15 years? He walked away simply because he knew he won’t get the presidential nomination ticket.

The so called reasonable option won’t even show loyalty to his party when self interest beckoned.
What are you saying exactly now?

He only asked the vp to do as promised, where and what in that do you not understand?
