Hi Barr. you mind if I asked a question?

Actually, there's something I'll like to ask.
A company, during registration at CAC made a mistake in the spelling of one of the director's names. It happened many years ago but the issue just came to light recently, now they need to correct it, can you tell me the process involved?

We've paid 100 naira and have gotten a blank form CO7 and I'm hearing we need to involve the services of a lawyer. Can you please tell me how we can get the issue resolved and possibly get the correction on the certified true copy?

Thanks.

And this is why I support NYSC. You would probably not have gone out of your comfort zone or expanded your horizons had you stayed home.

Nigeria really has some very good policies, they just need to be executed better.
You're right. So right.

Nigeria does. Our problem in this country is execution. I don't know when but I believe all we need are a few people who like Timi Dakolo, will say Nigeria is all we've got and work towards making it what it should be.

Then and only then will we appreciate what we have as a nation.

This is a very old thread by the way cheesy

dinma007, I will try to water down all my disappointments because it's a good Tuesday morning and I'll choose my words carefully.

I've not the time to go over all the comments here but for you to say the church microfinance bank duped your friend is totally wrong! I came in with the notion that the church registered MFB duped your friend but after reading the story, that's not the case.

We haul blames at churches in Nigeria over any and everything!

Secondly, my calculator may be wrong but 15% of 4mn for 60days isn't 1.5mn. What's going on? Who's wrong here?

Your friend who has no calculator of her own to be sure of the returns on her investment?
The MFB that is a money doubler?
Or

Me - The one with a bad calculator and has little or no financial literacyhuh?

When one is dumb, the fellow is dumb.
Own up and stop blaming the church in Nigeria.

@Amicable09. No bank pays NIMC N1,000 for verification and authentication of NIN.Please confirm.People should read well to understand. It is clearly written on the NIN Slip that NIN is your Identity.Banks should learn that asap. How many of the bank workers can boast of having the highly rated NIMC eid Card?Harmonization of data in Nigeria is the way to go.Kudos to Federal Government on this.

the temporary slip has the NIN, nevermind the the ignorant response u received earlier
OK, thanks. I'll check for myself when I set my eyes on both stuff issued by NIMC.
Cecero:
I think your information on the verifiability of the NIN slip is stale. NIMC has sent out a link for verification. Also, are you aware that the TVC is verifiable and yet banks do not accept it as valid, I wonder why? The VIN on the TVC can be verified with same portal as the PMC. Let's say that for the latter CBN did not ok it, but for the former I think they have ok'ed it probably because of the challenges NIMC has with making available the main Natl id
I think this all boils down to the risk appetite of a bank. There are banks that still refuse NIMC temporary slip for correct account opening process because their risk appetite is low. I know that for not verifying an ID before account opening, the branch is liable to 2mn. That's what CBN pockets for one small oversight as this.

I think I've said enough on this thread. I am not the OP yet the mentions I've gotten if translated to money, I wouldn't be complaining. Since it isn't,

I'm complaining.

Maam, the CBN had issued a circular to ALL Financial Institutions in Nigeria to accept the NIN Slip as a valid means of identification.

CBN read the NIMC Act and directed all financial institutions accordingly, which is why the NIMC account could come down hard on the Sterling bank customer support handle.
I read the circular and by understanding still maintain my stand.

I asked one of the posters here if the temporary slip has the NIN, his response came back as negative.

Which is why at this point, I plead that you go through the subject and my first post again. It will save us all so much stress.

cc. All those who have quoted me and whose messages I can no longer reply.

Thank you very much.

HAH:
Do you really know the function of NIBSS for you to say that NIMC should contact them on issues of identity, FYI by law NIMC is sole manager of all identities in Nigeria. Very soon all ids including, drivers licence, intl passport, voters card, NCC, etc will be harmonised under NIMC management, by the way NIBSS means Nigeria interbank settlement scheme which primary function is clearing of instruments issued on banks
There are some mentions that after reading, I stop to ask myself whether the person who quoted me actually take me for a primary 3 pupil.

Like, unku you actually had to give me the full meaning of NIBSS and their primary function! I feel like crying for my teachers. What were they doing when your likes were being taught and I wasn't!?

I smell partiality

Anyway, I don't know you but I will like you to know that I know the meaning of NIBSS and its primary function. There's something I also know which I think you don't know hence, my reply.

BVN from what I know is verifiable on NIBSS portal. That was what brought about the post you quoted.

Thanks.

The NIMC slip does not have date of birth on it like every other valid means of identification and there is an N.B clause stated on the slip too. The body should rather work on speeding up the release of the permanent cards and retrieve the temporary slips instead is seeking acceptability of its slips. Only the regulatory bodies can expressly advice banks on acceptable valid ID cards - and NIMC is not one of them.
Paragraph 3 of the letter issued by CBN on this stated that the NIN should be confirmed before initiating relationship. Is there any platform on ground for banks to confirm the authenticity of NIN numbers before starting relationship with customers?
Thank you very much!

Those quoting me should kindly quote you please cheesy. I don't know what to say again.
BusinessRe: NIMC's Response To Sterling Bank On Temporary Slip As Means Of Identification by amicable09(f): 9:32pm On Aug 17, 2017

The NIMC Slip can be verified on the NIBSS portal now if you have the authorization.

Most banks now accept it, input the NIN on NIBSS verification portal, and cross-examine the necessary details.

Issue is that banks pay handsomely to have access to that portal. Most banks had rather decline, and let the onus of getting another means of ID be on the customer.

The fee is huge. I repeat, the fee is huge.

Only banks with foresight who see prospects in the onboarding new customers write the paychecks.
Quick question, does the temp slip have NIN?
