It is true that the level of achievement and success a man will attain in life is determined by the type of wife in his life.

I really dont know why some women created by God turn out to be very wicked.

If he is the ceo of Blackstone then this project has already failed o.

Your statement is absolutely wrong. You really don't have idea what it means to be rich.

There is a level one gets to, that dressing is the least in his/her list. But the middle class will try all his power on dressing so as to impress others.

Chrisbenogor:

So I went back and read the thread all over again, I don't know about you but I try my best to be balanced when I make my view points known. Going by what has just happened then people would not even remain married. Single folks come in to read this thread and if this is what it would take for marriages to break down then why go into it?

Now let us look at the facts of what happened (according to her)

There was a misunderstanding on thursday and then on saturday she was out of her husbands house. The time frame was short to me and the fact that she was preggers triggered the question in my head of what state this marriage was at before this misunderstanding on thursday. It seems from what I gather she wrote

I am guessing what she is saying from here is that the last time they had a major disagreement was a year ago.....and even then he had left the house for 4 weeks. So there is a pattern here, telling us all the evil things he has done without for one mentioning what role she has played in all this is not being fair to the man.

Violence should not be condoned, however this does not make sense without proper context.

After he asked what did she reply? What did he reply? Who struck first? that is what we should be asking
Anyone who just pounces on anybody because they got asked why they did not shut a door belongs in a psychiatric ward. So like I said it must have been enabled, of course restraint should have been shown on both sides. The nephews could have walked away or she should have picked it up somewhere else. Anyways they are wrong to have raised their hands on her and in my opinion deserve to leave the house. However let it not look like she was sitting peacefully and then she got attacked.

What really here is the problem? At least she admits that they were good prior to the incident, I also do not have a time frame for when he did the things he is supposedly done, did he constantly go out and come back by 12 am everyday? Is that the issue? Has he one time or the other gotten angry and said horrible stuff oh probably when was that?

In my very honest opinion, this issue is not yet enough for her to have packed out just like that. Unless of course deep down she should admit that she is no longer ready for the marriage, at least she should own up to it and not achieve it by painting her hubby as the only one who does not want it.

Anyways, what do I know.....

This guy sef, its like u are drinking alomo bitter in an empty stomoach.

You're a citizen of the states, meaning if you have to put in for anything (all other things being equal, you have an edge over a non-citizen), are y'all just tryna be good ambassadors of your country here or what?

I'll gladly exchange my Naija passport for an American passport anytime anyday, QUOTE ME ANYWHERE! That passport pisses the hell outta me. sad angry

and oops! You wanna stay forever in Naija, yeah? Well, your child might not agree with you.
If op can afford it, give your child the opportunity (who knows, lil cutie might decide he prefers the western life to the 1790 life in Naija, life would be much easier for him with his citizenship). Dual ctizenship is never something to regret! And if he decides to stay put in his fatherland, he's always a NIGERIAN!

Hmmm. I think u have raised some points here. If op can afford it, let him go ahead. But I think he shld buy d land and have his baby here.

Business / Re: Touch Of Bodashee: Diary Of A Growing Business by amtheone(m): 7:29pm On Nov 16, 2013
bodashee: The week has been great. Although I'm really sorry I've not been able to update in three days. The owners of light have really not been nice to us, so both batteries went flat at a point.
Yesterday, I went to lagos market to buy foil plates. They look better for packing stuff compared to paper plates, though a little higher in price.
I bought foil plates, some of which I used to send samples to a woman art lekki through a friend of mine who was going in the same direction. I hope to hear from her.
I also made a list of 40 people to send samples or pictures to, basically for them to help me get referals.
@ this juncture I'd like to ask if anyone knows how I can approach hotel owners. I'm aware that on christmas day, they share things like this to their customers who are lodged in the hotels. Christmas and new year I think.
Hope you guys had a great week. I really missed you.

Well done Sister. You are making progress. As for how to reach out to hotel owners, I don't think there is any special way apart from meeting them in person or by letter in form of proposal. One-on-one contact is more effective but maybe difficult because of their busy schedule. But whichever way, you need to go out to them, at this point you have a lot to do. And please don't allow any MD/Chairman of any hotel waste your time unecessarily. When they start giving you unecessary appointments, please move on. I'm talking from experience ohhh. But don't worry God will surely grace your efforts. Like I said earlier, there is profit in all labour.

I will suggest you post some nice picture of what you do here. Please make sure that the pictures are very nice and presentable, because you won't have opportunity of explaining after you must have posted them.

My breakthrough was here. I believe the same can happen to you.

I wish you all the best.

@boda and dilight I will do that especially on the importance of packaging and quality.

Like I said don't be discouraged, there is profit in all labor. You just need that I can do spirit. There was a time I wanted to give up and take paid job, but thanks to my wife who gave me all manner of supports and encouragement. It was tough though but the story has long changed to a positive one.

Remain focused.
Business / Re: CEOs, Business Owners And Intending Biz Owners; Let's Interact. by amtheone(m): 9:57am On Nov 08, 2013
bodashee: I appreciate the op for thinking of a thread such as this. I look forward to gaining useful knowledge from this thread. I finished school in July and I've started a new business (called Touch of Bodashee) which supplies chin chin, crusted groundnuts, coconut chips, cookies at events, parties, and even to coporate organization who order for their staff) alongside the sale of clothing that I was involved in right from school days. I prefer to call myself a hustler (not a ceo). But I've noticed that for enterpreneurs that are just starting out like me, its quite a big deal breaking into the markets, especially if you don't really know people that can give you referals to their friends and family, and the small start-up capital also doesn't put one in a place where you can engage in elaborate advertisements. Pls I'd like your advise on this.
Nevertherless, I'd like to encourage others like me. NEVER give up on your dreams no matter what people tell you. Learn from your mistakes instead of getting discouraged by them. And be very very very very careful with funds. DO NOT on any account, use borrowed funds to purchase personal items. Every kobo must go into the business, to prevent premature debt and help your business grow better. God bless us all. We are the pillars of the Society.

Don't be discouraged. I past through this phase you are in right now. I know exactly how it is. I would advise you not to worry so much about how your product will be known. Keep working on how to improve the quality of your product and give utmost attention on packaging then find a way of advertising it online, you will be shocked at the response. And also give room for others to be a part what you are doing such as marketers and distributors.

I will open a thread to share my story - the fears, the worries and the victories.
Business / Re: CEOs, Business Owners And Intending Biz Owners; Let's Interact. by amtheone(m): 9:44am On Nov 08, 2013
jdilight: Business from my observation is all about volume. The greater the out put volume, the greater the profit made. l see this as the reason small scale and medium scale companies hardly survive beyond five years of being in operation.

For instance, if a producer makes 1 naira per product produced. He will make 1 million naira if he produces 1 million goods. What if he produces 500 goods, he only makes 500 naira. Taking all expenses out you see the one producing less number of goods will not stay long in competition let alone giving customers gift or the like.

From the above observation, a ruthless competitor can easily put the small /medium scale producers out of business by may giving incentives to buyers.

What do you think?

U see my brother, any business that has to do with production is quite sensitive. If u are into production of any products, you have to be very careful to avoid running at a loss.

Though volume counts, but you have to start from small volume even when it seems everything is ok.

When your product is been appreciated in the market, you can now increase the volume of your output systematically, because in production anything can go wrong and in such situation you can lose both capital and profit.
