foxe:You are so ignorant about this. How can you be wise and not know these things |
This was one of the questions I asked myself when God brought me to life. It may be the same thing that has happened to you For some, it is God hardening them or giving them over to complete rebellion.I tell you God is so wise, He has made everything to have meaning only in Christ. When I heard the gospel of Christ and Him crucified, it came to me with power, in afflictions, in much assurance and in the Holy Spirit just exactly as it is stated in the bible. It's that one thing that no man can see but they see the evidence which is a changed life and outlook of things. Salvation and meaning of life is of God. |
GoodMuyis:Sorry Bill Gates isn't the standard of what a Christian teacher should be. ![]() There are many theists in hell. I am more concerned about the genuinity of the God a man or woman professes to believe in |
Being a Bible adherent by God's grace, every time I think of a church I think of a gathering of people but everytime the average person talks about church with me they mean blocks and cements. What a joke ![]() ![]() |
I suggest you go for medical check up first, sounds like you have fever |
Mouthgag:hahahahahha |

There we go again |
johnydon22:Thank you. To be born again simply means to be regenerated, brought to life by the Spirit of God. We cannot say it is inherent because that would be illogical and false. If something is inherent then it must be something that comes with our natural birth however we are looking at "being born the second time" No man can attain this state because it is solely the work of God. The scriptures teach that men are born dead spiritually and it is from this state of total loss of relationship with God, spiritual blindness and deafness that they live their lives. Then if they must receive the things of God, see Jesus and hear the Shepherd's voice, they must be brought to life first for a dead man cannot do all those things. These are clearly seen in John 1:12,13. Ephesians 2:1,2. Life must precede faith, thirst, hunger, repentance, fellowship, etc. If we have these coming before Life then we have our theology in falsehood. So no one who understands this should be surprised by empty professors who only have a form of godliness but no power. And yes salvation cannot be lost because it is by grace. Grace means not deserved favour. If we can "lose our salvation" then it cannot be by grace but by our work, or faith or perseverance. But we are preserved by God through lots of suffering, crosses, chastisement, afflictions, etc This have a strong hold on us that they cause us to endure to the end. We are told to be responsible but still not forgetting the truth that it is God that works in us to be productive. Legalistic Christians only overemphasize the responsibility thereby placing the burden of works on themselves. No wonder they follow traditions of men and only have an outward show being enchanted by the thoughts or beauty of heaven with no real regard for God. Not having the Lord as the worker(author and finisher of our faith) in us has a lot of implications |
Gombs: ![]() I am here being ashamed of you and embarrassed on your behalf Hahahaha |
felixomor:You are deluded. You call black white and vice versa. Glad you think I'm an atheist ![]() False Christian |
felixomor:Mr Felixomor the Bible says I should be weary of people like you not atheists. Atheists are no threat to the faith but false Christians and wolves parading as sheep in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ...I would continue to support exposing you all |
Look at how felixomor finally embarrassed himself Defender of false prophets, crooks and now impostors.. A man with very un-Christian like behaviour. Judgement will start in Zion and woe to those who are at ease! |
no shame our resident pastor Wolf Agbaje |
Now, that's a perfect description of a Pharisee. ![]() Only one man is a hypocrite, adulterer, wolf, thief, heretic... And you say he is a man of God, I laff in kanuri hahahahihihihi |
richebony:Theology is a talent?? |
5DMindset:Mr Oyedepo is a heretic, a wolf and an arrogant thief. He exposes himself as biblically clueless every time he opens his mouth Mr Wolf Oyedepo |
Freewillers have terrible logic. If God specially loves everyone like they say how come some would end up in hell. He saw some would go to hell why didn't He quit creating them. Or better still If the All powerful God loves every individual why won't He do everything possible to save them since He loves them and can save them. I tell you, God does not love every individual like some people are saying in a bid to make God appear inoffensive. There were two brothers and God said He loved one and hated the other. And why? because they did something? That's a lie. They didn't do anything, even before they were born, their lives had been determined. Freewillers stop embarrassing yourselves and bringing shame to Christianity. You are trying to help God with your free will ideology and make Him appear "good" to mankind and that's a terrible thing to do because you are taking away His glory. God is the Potter and men the clay. He makes us the way He wants us. Some for honour others for destruction. This is very true and keeps all men at the mercy of God. Now, won't you despair of yourself and come to this God who takes no counsel from mortals? Who is under no obligation to save anyone? God cannot be termed wicked or the doer of evil because there is no law binding Him. He is sovereign and above the law. What will you do with Him? Hate Him or love Him but don't you tell a lie about Him or make Him look like a man |
SMH. No resemblance with the true Spirit of Christ in the Bible. All we need are in the Bible, keep your special message to yourself, it's not even Special, the devil has been using this for a very long time now ![]() My people beware of false prophets and prophetess'. Test everything, everything!! |
It's easier to run into a dinosaur than a Christian so what are you saying |
Hier:True Faith is by works , we won't receive eternal salvation if we don't confess. Our confession is a work which is also faithNot really. Faith isn't equal to work. One is borne out of the other. Faith births works. Genuine Faith that is. So if we believe in our hearts, we would confess unto salvation. "unto" does not mean we were saved by by confession/work that would contradict Salvation by grace through faith. Rather we were were saved and received eternal life when we believed and then we inevitably confessed our faith. Inshort they happen so simultaneously that we cannot have one without the other But there is sequence. Faith first. Through it is a man saved. "whosoever believes has eternal life" And whosoever has eternal life will not be mute but must surely confess it out. But here is the problem. Many men have not this faith that by itself produces works in a man. And since they have not this faith, they go about establishing their own works and falsely equating it to faith like you just did If we won't receive eternal life until we confess then eternal life cannot be a gift but a reward for our righteous choice. But salvation is by grace through faith and this is not our doing but God's One can draw back in the faith and as a result lose their salvation. The Bible is very clear about those who draw back, says they were never saved to begin with. This is well detailed in my last thread. 1 john 2:1, "this thing I write unto you that you sin not" writing to the saints in the churchOK... Well, I still don't understand the concept behind eternal salvation, but my opinion is, once any1 sin, he's likened to the prodigal son who lost his salvation and his fellowship and he realised that and came back.Okay. So you think each time we sin we lose our salvation and then we have to do something (like coming back to our senses) to get it back but that would contradict the Bible. In the Bible no man was, is and would ever be saved except solely by grace. Grace means you don't deserve to be saved but someone bought your pardon with his blood. If you lose it when you sin, we would need another sinless person to shed his blood again and this would be an every minute, hour or day sacrifice, worse than the old covenant. Because without shedding of blood there can be no remission of sin. But thank God we are saved by grace. If we sin we confess to God who gives genuine repentance and turns us away from that lifestyle. Not you, but God does all these things inside of you. I think we need to read more of Matthew, Mark Luke and John and put them first always and not only that, using those four book as a guide in interpreting whatever the Bible state thereafter.I see what you are doing but my advice to you would be to go to God and he would teach you himself. You won't have to follow your own understanding but rely on Him cos there are so many things God has hidden from the world and only shows those that come with humility |
Thief |
olamkas:Jesus didn't complain but was burdened by what was to befall Him. He told his disciples he would rebuild the temple in 3days. Not only was he prepared to die, it was His plan from the beginning. Even the means to his death were ordained by Him. when he prayed at Gethsemane, he wasnt complaining but submitting to the Father's will . And nopy, the cup didnt pass over him. Matthew 26:39 Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will. |
Abeg everything about that proverb is wrong |
Great question. Jesus had become sin on the cross (ie our sin was inputted in Christ.) and because God could not behold sin and always forsakes Sinners, He did to Jesus what He would have done to all those Christ died for : Which is forsake and punish them for their sins. Jesus' role was vicarious. He was the substitute, (bearing all their sins instead of them) for all those who would be saved by grace. |
It's so sad that many professing Christians have not this Christ full of power and grace and assurance and peace. These things that we say are real and we have seen Him and we know Him. The reason we are always hammering on this is because we have seen him for ourselves and our lives have changed. Everyone who encounters Him would change! This is the God who took on flesh to die for sinners that they may have life. This is that Jesus that was spoken of the prophets. The Father, the everlasting God and prince of Peace. I would only call for a debate if I wasn't sure of this. God lives in us. Brethren if the Holy God is in you how can you not change? And do you know His dwelling in us is our only hope of glory! Do not be deceived brethren , no self righteous person, fornicator, adulterer, liar, gay/lesbian, thief and all those that practice evil will inherit the kingdom of God. Be sure of your calling. You know yourself. Can a man deceive God? |
Dlordsamurai:Don't worry about others until you are sure of your calling (if you have been called) |
