I don't mean this in a negative way but it is an Igbo thing. Growing up, we ate anything on Sunday until I lived briefly with my sister who married an Igbo. Of course she didn't practice it but we had her mother in law who talked about it a lot. Her husband friends and all the other in-laws too would come around on Sundays and be like, 'its Sunday why didn't you cook rice'? They got used to it eventually.

I will agree with you on this. I'm Igbo and we eat rice every Sunday in my family. Its not like we don't eat it on other days of the week though, but we must eat it every Sunday. Right now, I'm patiently waiting for the rice to get ready.
All my relatives and friends who are Igbos also eat rice on Sundays too.
I'm very surprised to find out now that it's not every family in Nigeria that eats rice on Sundays. I thought it was a general thing.

The Spirit of Nigerian Democracy is seen when a democratically elected President transits power to a newly elected president.

If we hand over democratic government on 29th May, what again are we celebrating on the 12th June.

A Gazette is not Act of Parliament, one Executive Order can set it aside.

If Buhari is serious, he should send a bill to the National Assembly and formally institutionalize that.

But if he fails to do that, any President can set that aside.

How many Executive Orders did Trump cancelled. If ObamaCare is a product of an Executive Order, Trump would have cancelled that since ages.

From a legal point of view, a merger is the legal consolidation of two entities into one entity, whereas an acquisition occurs when one entity takes ownership of another entity's stock, equity interests or assets.
For instance, Eco Bank acquired Oceanic Bank when the latter began to have financial challenges. Most of our new generation banks like Access and FCMB are products of the mergers of various banks.

I said categorically earlier on that the Bank may not fall, but if this judgment is true, it will definitely affect the Bank and jobs will be lost. How on earth do you want to dispute this fact?
Haven't you heard of panic withdrawals before? If everyone begins to withdraw their savings from the Bank, it will definitely affect the Bank's capital base.

And kindly note that N12 billion is very big for a Bank with a net income of only about N90billion.

If you do not know the role of AMCON and the banking industry, then you'll have to research on that. I have given you enough free lectures for today.

The Ibos last year, said they will withdraw their money & the bank will fall, I said it is an empty noise. The bank continues to grow in strength despite the threat. Now, you think 12 billion will sink the bank when all your frauds cannot sink the bank.

Bros calm down. Several banks have failed in Nigeria and NDIC/AMCON couldn't help them. At best, a stronger bank will acquire the assets of the Bank or there will be a merger.

Let's face facts, if N12billion leaves the coffers of GTB, it will definitely affect the bank's capital base.

Besides, if this is actually the Supreme Court's judgment, it will throw customers into panic withdrawals, thereby further damaging the bank's assets.

The best GTB can do now is to quickly negotiate terms of payment with Innoson to cover a long term period, else they might not survive this. Furthermore, they need to engage in aggressive PR to repair their damaged reputation.

The bank may not fall, but then it will greatly suffer and many jobs will definitely be lost

Which ever way you look at it, PMB did what his predecessors refused to do. This will good very well with the Yoruba nation and at this time, who wouldn't want to further appease these great people of the South West? They know how to play politics and so far, they are reaping it all good at all fronts. Our Igbo brothers, look inward and learn how to play politics, which is a give and take game.
