excanny:Thank you my brother, I enjoy your posts a lot. But who are this members of Igbo Political Forum, who elected them to speak for Ndigbo?. |
excanny:Uwaechue was not on his own when GEJ was endorsed. Ohanaeze under Achuzia and later Ikedife was a one-man show. It is different now. Uwaechue meant well for Ndigbo and has always done that since Biafran days till now. Ndigbo were divided and had no direction on who to side and Ohanaeze came to the rescue. What they have done is just advisory, that does not stop you from voting for any candidate of your choice. As for me, on Ohanaeze endorsement I stand. Now, am busy with preparations for all Igbo music festival coming up soon in London featuring Ibu, Bracket, Flavour, Nigga Raw etc. Shortly after that will be massive campaign for GEJ. |
seanet02:Be sensible for once poor boy. |
@The Poster: This thread of yours should have been deposited in the crimes section. You have been here long a enough to know how and where to start threads. |
oludashmi:Another imbecilic post as usual, run away from where to where?. Do they run to the north or west. Is the south east only zone where christians have ruled all through. Poor girl, for once, quit hating. |
@The Poster, you have not offended anyone. In Africa, religion has been an admixture of ethnicity. The Yorubas has come up with a version of African culture and christianity through Celestial Church and C&S. |
Coins highlighting the Roman heritage of London. Yet, it will be insane for Londoners to claim non English but Romans. Bini, well agreed had influence over the aristocracy of Ika kingdoms but that is a defeatist one when it comes to the identity of IkaIgbo.

Londinium was established as a civilian town by the Romans about seven years after the invasion of AD 43. Early Roman London occupied a relatively small area, roughly equivalent to the size of Hyde Park. In around AD 60, it was destroyed by the Iceni led by their queen Boudica. However, the city was quickly rebuilt as a planned Roman town and recovered after perhaps 10 years, the city growing rapidly over the following decades. During the 2nd century Londinium was at its height and replaced Colchester as the capital of Roman Britain (Britannia). Its population was around 60,000 inhabitants. It boasted major public buildings, including the largest basilica north of the Alps, temples, bath houses, an amphitheatre and a large fort for the city garrison. Political instability and recession from the 3rd century onwards, however, led to a slow decline. At some time between 190 and 225 AD the Romans built the defensive London Wall - around the landward side of the city. The wall was about 3 kilometres (2 miles) long, 6 metres (20 ft) high, and 2.5 metres (8 ft) thick. In the late 3rd century, Londinium was raided on several occasions by Saxon pirates.[citation needed] This led, from around 255 onwards, to the construction of an additional riverside wall. The wall would survive for another 1,600 years and define London's perimeters for centuries to come. Six of the traditional seven city gates of London are of Roman origin, namely: Ludgate, Newgate, Aldersgate, Cripplegate, Bishopsgate and Aldgate (Moorgate is the exception, being of medieval origin). By the 5th century the Roman Empire was in rapid decline, and in 410 AD the Roman occupation of Britain came to an end. Following this, the Roman city also went into rapid decline and by the end of the century was practically abandoned London (Londinium) being founded by the Romans has not made the Londoners non English. Londoners are proud English people, hence some towns in IkaIgbo areas being founded by men from Bini will not take away the Igboness of those towns. In the same vein, Lagos being founded by Binis has not made Lagosians Binis. Today, Ikaland and Igbanke are part and parcel of Igboland. |
Please, change your user name. |
@Jason: The insult was directed to that Alh who does not know if he is Hausa, Kanuri or Fulani. Please reread my post. |
alj harem:Brain dead monkey, shut up your stinking mouth for once. Why not go and hang if you feel the Igbo scares life out of your silly self. FYI, The Igbo is the largest ethnic group in the South-South. Pig. |
@Jason, I have read through the thread and could not come across where Ndigbo are claiming Ijaw, Efik and Ibibio. From the way you are going this days, no one will take you as a serious poster. |
Babzilla:Did Ekwuerme step down for OBJ?. |
Obj is Igbo plz. You ppl should come and collect your thing o. If you check his DNA and if it traces back to the jews, then he's Igbo plz o.
My own DNA does not have Jewish links, so am I not Igbo?. What are you implying?. |
jason12345:Show me where we have been claimig Ibibio, Efik or Ijaw?. We have Ikwerre sons representing Rivers state in Ohanaeze. But you do not have Itsekiri's in Afenifere. Even the Olu of Warri you mentioned earlier is like Ochi of Idoma yet they are not Igbo. Anyway, do not derail this thread any more. |
igbo boy:I tire for the guy o. There is even an Itsekiri thread and he does not even get close to it. |
Na obodo nke anyi-Isinweke, Nsu, Obowu; toad bu akiri ka ana akpo ya. Mana ana erikwa ya eri. |
onya imata nkapi (onya ya matara nkapi)--onwetaghi ihe o na-acho. |
Well done the Air raid--Achuzia. Those who have ears, let them listen. |
igbo boy:Nwannem, jiri nwayo. I hate it when juniors insult their elders. Everyone has a right to make a choice. Do not insult them over their personal choices. At a time Ndigbo were undecided over the matter. But now, Ohanaeze has provided the direction that was missing. From 50 percent to 70 percent within 2 weeks, mehn! hope rising for GEJ. Thanks to Uwaechue and co. Not only in Igboland are opinions divided but amongst other ethnic groups. Respect biko. |
A bum---I am. Abum ihe m bu---I am whom I am. |
ifyalways:Akpaalaokwu bu IDIOMS. |
@Chinenye: Uwaechue is a very approachable person. He will pay attention to you if you have any worries about him and Ohanaeze. To do that, get in touch with his secretary, this can be via Ohanaeze in your locality. Mehn!, I met him in person earlier this year at Ogwashi Ukwu. Just an advice. |
jason12345:Am sorry if I hurt you with my reply. I feel Yorubas are large enough in nairaland to tackle issues relating to them. I just feel you should represent your group the more. The whole exercise is like an Ogoni man trying so hard to be at the forefront of Igbo affairs. |
chyz1:The Izu Anioma has a website where you can contact them. But it seems to have broken down. You may try this: www.aniomapost.org.uk. If that fails, you can reach them via Ohanaeze U.K as some of their leaders are members of Ohanaeze U.K. |
jason12345:This your Yoruba inpersonation is nonsensical. Why not represent your ethnic group, why are you speaking for the Yorubas. Have Yorubas accepted you as theirs?. Please leave Yoruba matters for Yorubas. |
Obi iji oji (obi ya na-eji oji)---onwere ajo obi. |
revolt:I know what you are implying. My uncle had a house in PH which was ceased and the rest is history. Would you kill all the Germans because of of what Hitler and the Nazis did to mankind (1939-45)?. |
chyz1:Am in touch with Izu Anioma leaders. Am wating for them to raise the issue. Some two years ago, Pat Utomi addressed the Igbo Youths in U.K, but this time, I do not know yet his mission. Pat Utomi is more cherished with the entire Igbo than only Aniomas here. Some of them are not happy that Pat does not let them know his intentions before declaring his intentions to run for elective posts in Nigeria. Also am in touch with Ika Union president in the U.K. What surprises me is that most people pushing for the merger of Igbanke to Delta state are not the Ikas but the larger Igbo voices. |
alj harem:Are you not ashamed that you are joining this particular thread 3-4 years late. Why not join the current Igbo threads going on in the politics section?. You treasure in exhuming old threads that will see Ndigbo and others lock horns together, poor boy. |

i feel more inclined to them than itsekiri. but you guys want the ibibio, efik, and even ijaws to say they are igbo. this is double standard. you want to claim ikewwerri and they said NO but as an itsekiri man said he prefers to be called a yoruba, you all started insulting him.
