auwal87:You are a no brainer at all. So because they speak Hausa, they should be accepted as Hausa. Nigerians speak english, buy your logic, we should be under British rule and should be English?. Boy, grow up. |
MrPrsdent:The education might have impacted on you directly or indirectly. Bear in mind that before 1973, what was in the Eastern Nigeria were mission schools and few govt schools. Probably your father or cousins would have passed through the mission schools established by the churches. Do not sweep away the good sides of the churches in Igboland because of xyz. |
If it were to be in the olden days, surely the Obi of Owa whom I met in person this year would have beheaded Agbontaen for all the insults he reigns on the Ika and Igbo people. |
IKWIKWI OR IKWIHIKWI means beautiful bed. It is mostly found in eastern Nigeria and westyern Cameroun. If you are called IKWIKWI, do not feel bad about it but happy. |
^^^ Then you have to remember the education which they brought to Igboland. You may be a product of that education. |
Let's discuss the role of the churchin poverty alleviation in Igboland and other developments. Opinions please. |
The above quote was made by Bishop Samuel Ajayi Crowder when addressing his first synod in 1866. The CMS team that brought the gospel to Igboland in 1857 came also with the cassava stick which no doubt improved the peoples quality of life. |
''When we arrived Onitsha in July 1857, we met the people in a state bordering on poverty and starvation. The introduction of cassava sticks by the zealous church teachers was a temporal blessing to the people''. |
Reincarnation is an aspect of Igbo world view. In Igboland, there are so many Ogba-aja or Dibia-afa (diviners). When a child is born, the Ogbajas will divine to know about the child born, his old world and his role in the world to be. |
EzeUche0:I do understand your views, the bottom line is that those groups are not Hausas nor Fulanis. If the north becomes a sovereign nation, Arewa, Hausa or Fulani as a name will not be suitable. Probably, northern Nigeria will be their best bet. Has anyone wondered why the then Eastern Nigeria did not choose Enyimba or Alaigbo as earlier debated prior to the declaration of Biafra. The Hausa or Fulani should respect other groups in the north who are of different stock from them. |
The Fugees---Guantanamarera. |
The Sokoto caliphate never covered the entire northern Nigeria. Bornu, Yobe, Adamawa, Taraba, Benue, Plateau and Kogi states never came under Hausa or Fulani rule. The idea of Fulaniland or Hausaland is an insult to natives of those state mentioned as well as non Hausa/Fulani in Niger state, Kaduna state, Kwara state and Nasarawa states. |
This idiotic posts should be confined to the waste bin. @As for the poster, the areas that may agree with your moronic idea includes: Katsiona, Bauchi, Gombe, kano, Jigawa, Sokoto, Kebbi and Zamfara. Do you expect Yorubas in Kwara and Kogi states to accept that they are Hausas. How about the Tivs, Idomas and Igbos in Benue state. Also, The Biroms and Angas in Plateau state who have been fighting with the Hausas since 160 years now. What a joke. |
chyz:They are Igbo and have always been Igbo. Infact, Delta Igbo people were angry with colonial adminstration for separating them with their kins in 1935. That was followed by demonstrations here and there in colonial quarters. Though 5% differ as a result of Bini influence and nearness. One of them is even here chatting crap all the time. Have a look at their motto below:

nelly uchendu---love nwantinti. |
The sell of alcohol in those viewing centres does not help matters. |
Abagworo:The Obi of Owa whom I met this year is completely contrary to what that boy claims. |
onye ishi zogbula udara ozotara na ukwu, onye ga enye ya ozo. |
Abagworo:Well done ABAGWORO. That kid will not learn. Any way, the lil nigger now says Owa and Agbor are not Igbo. At a time, his message was ''we Ika are not Igbo''. I as a member of an Igbo association in the United Kindom was part of a team that Visited Obi of Owa in South West London this summer. The elated Obi spoke about promoting Igbo culture in diaspora. We visited him because he is an Igbo monarch. We have also visited some other Igbo monarchs who were in London this year, e.g Eze of Umuoma in Ihitte/Uboma LGA, Imo state. Only last Saturday 16/10/10 at Iri Ji festival in London, members of Ika Town Union were with us to celebrate the festival. One of our biggest supporters for this year's festival is no other person than the president of Ika Town Union. Ika people are proud Igbo people, that brain dead monkey who disagress should go and hang. |
What the clans are doing is to evolve a standard Igbo that can enable them interact with over 40 million Igbo people. |
This imbecilic thread is good for the dust bin. |
ifyalways:Ify, Onye nwe anyi gozie gi. Obi dim uto na I zara oku Umuigbo London kporo gi. Odi ka iwu onye Onitsha. D.J tiri egwu na emume ahu bu kwa nwa Onitsha. |
beneli:WE ARE SO SORRY FOR THE LATE START. The event ended by 3:00am. Thanks a lot for coming and God bless you. |
@IFYALWAYS AND OMO IGBO: Thanks a lot for attending the Iri Ji festival. Arik airlines were our chief sponsors. But as we plan for 2011, what do you suggest we should do that we did not do last sunday?. |
