Aigbofa: I am here because you are highly dubious and deceptive characters. You wouldn't tell a simple truth to save your miserable life. Do you think you are addressing your gullible villagers when you make outrageous claims to boost your non existent ego?

What am I doing on your thread? Brain dead monkey, you make me laugh!

The father of the internet story is still fresh in our minds and you are already building another castle of lies!!
It's high time you quit tribalism in totality

WebmastersRe: Yoruba Is The Most Popular African Language - Jimmy Wales by AndreUweh(m): 7:50pm On Apr 01, 2012
alj harem: Why can't one say Yoruba is the most populous language in Africa ?

Did you read what strangerf wrote ?

Just because he speaks yoruba does not means he is yoruba, I imply that was what strangerf was saying

He did not argue with the most populous or not.

Moreover is Jimmy Wales yoruba now, because you are talking of falsehood ?
Uche, to be frank, Nairaland has changed you a lot but for the worse. Remember when you debuted, you were a pure muslim who believed in the truth but look at what you have turned yourself to.
How on earth can someone push the idea that Yoruba is the most popullar language in Africa. This is falsehood at the highest order. In the past, Uche would have been the first person to detect this fallacy.
CHANGE.

strangerf: ^^^

You just have to inject tribalism, isnt it?
Don't mind him. How on earth can someone say that Yoruba is the most popular African language, yet some people here have accepted it and wants to sale this falsehood to jambites.
Yorubas should stop spreading falsehood here. Thank God not all the Yorubas are corrupt for example StrangerF.
Fact: Yoruba is one of the most popular African Languages.

@Alh Harem, I can't believe that you travelled to Port Harcourt to learn Ijaw, in a City where Igbo is more spoken than Ijaw. It is like saying you travelled to Ilorin to learn Nupe while Yoruba is more widely spoken in Ilorin.

Umuahia is actually Oma ahia. Meaning a market centre. The Europeans desperate to find out what was going on at a market centre in Ibeku where they just arrived, and the natives said Oma ahia. The Europeans changed it to Umuahia.

Beaf hardly attacks any one who critiques Delta state. He himself has on numerous occasions spoken about some ills of his state.
I hope people from Osun and sorroundings should learn grom him.

Please, lets stick to the topic. All this it is not neccessarily Igbo this and that has to stop now. Some people chat as if there is a particular group called Igbo.
Stick to the topic and do not derail this beautiful thread.
CultureRe: Oyibo Or Oyinbo..which Of Them Is Correct? by AndreUweh(m): 1:55am On Mar 20, 2012
In Southern Igbo areas e.g Abia, Imo and Upland Rivers state including Bonny and Opobo, Oyibo is hardly used for Europeans. Bekee or Nwabeeke, onye ocha or Ndiocha is used instead of Oyibo. The Igbo groups that uses Oyibo are Western and northern Igbos.
The souther Igbo people were the first to encounter the Europeans and they did not call them Oyibos but Ndi ocha.
@Odumchi and Alh Uche, there is no winner or loser here.

EducationRe: What Do The Names Of Nigerian States and Cities Mean? by AndreUweh(m): 12:25am On Mar 20, 2012
Imo state is named after Imo River. Imo means great or big.
My home town is Isinweke---a market and administrative centre named after a wealthy business woman called Nwanyieke. When this woman died, her head was burried in a neutral ground or centre (Etiti) to please two warring clans over the ownership of the woman. Isinweke is also called Etiti with a population of about 100,000. It is in the Okigwe zone of Imo state.
PoliticsRe: Can Okorocha Succeed Ojukwu? by AndreUweh(m): 1:36pm On Mar 18, 2012
afam4eva: I know Pat utomi is Igbo. I've seen him on numerous Igbo programs on TV. What i'm saying is that i've never seen him fighting the Igbo course. he's more like ZIK.

Can you prove this?
Chibuike Amaechi, since his second term has discovered his Igboness. He visits most Igbo bodies overseas in any country he visits. Attends Igbo working men christian fellowship in P.H. Only cecently at Ojukwu's memorial in Port Harcourt, he described Ojukwu as 'OUR IGBO LEADER'.
He is not there yet but time will tell.
PoliticsRe: Can Okorocha Succeed Ojukwu? by AndreUweh(m): 11:45am On Mar 18, 2012
afam4eva: Owelle Rochas, probably, considering the fact that he has that individual spirit just like Ojukwu.

Pat Utomi can be a Nigerian leader but not an Igbo leader. He is not even an Anioma leader.

Uwazuruike is a freedom fighter and that's where it ends. I really don't see him taking the place of Ojukwu.

Chibuike Amaechi has not proven his Igboness enough. Infact, how can someone who has never attended an igbo meeting be an Igbo leader?

Ngige? Haba what makes you think he can fit into Ojukwu's shoes. he's still struggling for a senate spot.

Orji Uzor Kalu would have made good Igbo leader because of his strong head but he's just like every other politician out there that are after their pockets.
Pat Utomi sees himself first as Igbo before any Anioma issue. He is busier with Igbo affairs than anything else.
Amaechi: Is graduallly coming back to his Igbo soul and body and will do begger when giving the opportunity. Though not my number one candidate.
Ngige, a very fearless leader, and will do well when the opportunity arises.
Despite few political lapses, OU Kalu has a lot of Igbo feelings and will do anything possible to put the Igbo nation at the forefront of African affairs.
