The paramount ruler of the Binis is an Oba, yet he is not Yoruba. The paramount ruler of the Idoma is called Ochi-Idoma yet he is not Igbo. Whatever the Badagry rulers are called does not take them away from whom they are.

Im my state Imo, there are no Ijaws there. There even more Yorubas and Hausas than Ijaws in Imo state.
Imo state also shares no borders with Ijaws or any non Igbo speaking community.

Am not derailing this thread and do not mean to do so. The writer of the aricle has stated about non Yoruba groups in the south west especially in Badagry. Yet some nairalanders here have made fruithless attempts to murder the truth.

3. Ikwerres are not Igbos thus there are NO Igbos in rivers state

4. Agbors are not Igbos

5. Ikas are not Igbo

6. Anioma is not Igbo as well. I can keep going on and on. These are the group Ignorant Yorubas , Fulanis and Hausas might consider Igbos but I know better.

Am from Imo state and there are no Ijaws in Imo state. Tell me where you have the Ijaws in my state. Or tell me one Ijaw from Imo state. Imo state does not even share a border with any no Igbo group. Imo state is at the heart of Igboland and is called Eastern heartland.

Kudos to the writer of this article. The chap understands the south and the north very well and I suppose he is widely travelled. He even went further to address the issue of other tribes in South west and wrote about the non groups in the Badagry area.

Ikwu udo (suicide) is an abomination, so is murder. In both cases, apart from the prescribed saction, the land, that is Ala, Ani or Ana, must be cleansed because human blood is sacred in terms of its support of life. Such blood constitutes pollutants to Ala. Murder and suicide are also regarded as offences against Chukwu. This reason in Igbo culture is that God alone owns life (Chinwendu, Chijindu), gives life, and only God can take life. In murder and suicide, someone is attempting to oust God and thereafter play God's role.

Law in Igbo language means Iwu. This is often referred as Iwu ala, iwu ani, iwu ala, iwu eli or iwu obodo. This is the law of the land, or the law of the town, or the law of the country. From Iwu, the following are derivable:
1. Odi na iwu: it is forbidden by law, illegal.
2. Tinye iwu: make law or enact law.

What are these laws?. Some are similar to those in the official Nigerian system while some are universal because Ndigbo are part of humanity. A few are nonetheless, distinctly Igbo.
