larride: Wtf is the VAR they are using in the EPL. How is that off? They capitalized on the fact that stupid people believe anything they are told on TV. What nonsense line did they draw there to just claim offside? Why show us only 1 view? That was a neat goal. But tbh, Kai's penalty should have stood as well. It was soft but it was a penalty. |

Havertz deserved his penalty and Garnacho's goal was NEVER offside. VAR did voodoo analysis live to keep this game tied.
Shameful. |

WhoDeyHause: Same guardiola that chased out how many players from his team after the first season or which guy? If you have been watching nottingham forest you would have seen how they gave assnal and manyoo close games this season. Awoniyi didn't even score today. Guardiola did not chase people out. City would have cleared the squad even if Pep was not there. That was an old roster. Pep only influenced the type of replacements City got. |

Had Sterling been the one to miss the Jackson chance you lot would have blamed him. Now that he cannot be blamed, you have reverted to blaming the manager even when you could have salvaged something from the game had Jackson scored. Favoritism in analysis will be the end of Chelsea.
This is about growing pains for Chelsea as you have a relatively inexperienced roster, but the reality is, there was no deep dive involved in your recruitment. Also, Caicedo is not the player you think he is. A good player but like we said, he is not the DM you were hoping for which is why I wanted Klopp, not you, to make the mistake. |

Yamal also have the potential to be better than Messi and Maradona combined.
If Ganacho stays injury free, he's got the potential to be better than Ronaldo.
We can't forget Nicolas Jackson's potential. With more luck, he can be better than Drogba and Henry. As if they agreed that Brighton had the best midfield last season. Every player is always better than City players until it is time to win. |

Can apari survive in real madrid with that timeline? Pep won the UCL twice in his first 3 years as a manager. It has earned him his reputation so that big teams get patient with him. That is part of why he has the edge. He is elite. His mount Rushmore is his face in 4 different expressions. |

WhoDeyHause: I just used Messi as an example. I am tackling you for you saying with apari you have an edge for a competition he's won just once since 2016 after given unlimited funds and not being fired. You as a city fan knows that he won't stay that long at many clubs if he was just delivering league titles with no champions league till this point. Even he himself admitted the champions league is hard to win so don't come and tell us you have any advantage just because he finally won the trophy you were looking for. When it comes to epl we have nothing to hold him. He has destroyed our league. Keep scoring own goals. Even RM that are the winningnest UCL team don't win it every year so what is your argument? You are drawing big circles and all I want is the point. |

oliverano: Okay, fair although I disagree with you on this! Na wetin we dey deal with every season. They all claimed Bayern will beat City at the QFs of the UCL even when they knew Bayern did not have Kane. Tuchel got disgraced. It is not about Kane. They are giving Bayern the edge because of Tuchel which is why I was quick to point out that City is the better of the teams and why that is the case. Pep. If you switched teams I'll make the same argument. Tuchel is not on that level and can never be. |

oliverano: True, but I still think with KDB injured, they need some additions. It could be any quality player other than Paqueta but of course pep is pep. He may even turn Palmer to something else or McTee. Lewis too. Lot's of obtions there.
City are UCL favourites! KDB is someone you should build your team around because he is generational but sometimes you need him out of the way so that the other players can express themselves better. When he plays we cede all the ball to him and expect him to do all the creating but we are more dynamic when he does not play if I am keeping it a buck like Giannis. |

WhoDeyHause: You automatically have an edge, that is why he won his first city champions league since 2016 after spending both Vietnam's and Taiwan's military budget joined together. You even lost your hand due to your nonsense faith in apari but you are comparing him with messi. Messi won how many world cups and UCLs? How many Ballon d'ors? Did Messi win every competition he was ever in? Did Pelé or Maradona achieve that? What false equivalency are you trying to poke at me? I hope you are not a Chelsea lunatic fanatic making jokes about spending big budget. I don't even know why I am trying to go against the grain on this one. andrewbaba44: What’s so special about paqueta ?
Dude can dance more than he can play football
Time will tell sha TBH I've been watching videos of him more closely since the rumors started and although he is inconsistent, he has all the tools to become world class especially if Pep handles him and he plays with City players. Zidane was another inconsistent moody player but people only remember his great showings because they were usually on the biggest stages. If Zidane played today he won't be regarded as better than Bernardo Silva. He will be like Paqueta I swear. But that's talk for another day. |

oliverano: Favourite or one of the favourites?
I think with the addition of Gvardiol and possibly Paqueta, I think city are still clear.
Rodri is really bossing it at the moment. They look unstoppable for now! City don't need Paqueta to be better than Bayern. Even with the addition of Kane, City is still better than Bayern. The difference between City vs Bayern last season was not Haaland like some people want to claim. The difference is Pep Guardiola. The same reason some of the nonsense you read on the Arsenal thread is what it is. . .nonsense. When people make their permutations, they always forget that having Pep is like playing with Messi on your team. You automatically have an edge no matter how miniscule it might be. |

raumdeuter: Why are you happy about this deal I feel Klopp is going off the cuff on this one. I don't think he planned for the player and I don't think the player alone can solve the problem Klopp wants to solve which is his gaping defense which stems from the lack of defensive support since Fab and Henderson depreciated and left. Also, TAA is vice captain which means he will usually start games and since Klopp has moved him to the inverted role Klopp can only play 2 other midfielders with him. Caicedo and either Dominik from Leipzig or McAllister neither of which is defensive. Even Caicedo is not ultra defensive. He is more like Kroos than Kante. I personally feel he is not a DM but a DCM if I can call it that but he is more CM than DM. So Liverpool's team will be strong in Cups but not consistent in the league which is my priority before the UCL. |

That's how you erroneouslyy argue based on wrong premise. I hope you are not too in a hurry in real life. Did you not post the quote? Is the quote not attributed to Rodri? Tell me the season that VVD played more games than Rodri since after the first season that he was signed? If you can't, it means VVD has not played as many games as Rodri mentioned. I quoted your own post. If you felt it was not true, then why post it and relate it to Hazard and VVD when you know it is not true? |

Me I knew that City usually played more games than Liverpool every season and VVD has not been as healthy so he has not played as many games as Rodri. |

CrystalTiger: There's McAllister and that Leipzig boy they got...Klopp is very dangerous with an energetic midfield.. You're right. I forgot Szoboszlai. But my point is, most of those players are very attack-minded so Liverpool's attack will be tight but they will concede so many goals as they have done all preseason long. Klopp is jittery: he could have gone for Moses earlier but he is going now - very close to the start of the new season. He is breaking an English record by the way. He knows they don't defend well and I don't think Moses can fix that. So it could go either ways. |
