Unlimited22: Android17 has been bitching about poor officiating all day but he won't see that one.
After a red card that was, at best, harsh, and at worst, a horrendous decision. Jones slips over the ball.
And I say this as someone who actually doesn't like Liverpool. When I said United's goal (Garnacho) against Arsenal should have stood you people told me VAR checked it even when I knew the line they drew was nonsense. I have to submit to the same wisdom for the Diaz goal. |

BlueMann: Only Hwang's case stood out for me, he was lucky not to get sent off for the second yellow. I didn't watch every minute tho. 5 Wolves players got "cramps" in the 2nd half. Time-wasting yet only 6 mins added. In a season where Arsenal got +10mins in the community shield with no injuries? I get it that City played poorly but the double standard is glaring. I have complained about this time added issue for 3 seasons now because City seems to get the short end of it. |

And plea deal does not mean anyone is begging to return any monies. Why spend time and resources trying to convict a thief when that does not guarantee you will recover the loot compared to giving him a deal that will incentivize the recovery of the loot (which is what you care about)? It is the court/prosecutor that is begging Meffi to say he is guilty and return money in exchange for his freedom. Stupid populee. |

monerozi5590: You lied. I only asked a question because you and others are accusing Buhari for Emefiele sins.
Plea bargain means you agreed that you committed the crime. Is like an agreement settlement.
If what Sahara reported is true, why are you guys involving Buhari if Emefiele has already said he indeed stole money.
Jonathan that always do dirty dealings at night that Ngozi had to cry out! Can you come and do that nonsense with Buhari, fear sef no go allow you.

While the logic is right, the buck always stop at the Presidents table. President will definitely be blamed for the corruption that happened right under his nose as President. Emefiele stole and gave the money to Buhari. Without that link will the story excite anyone? |

larride: If Aisha Ahmed, one of the CBN deputy is being investigated for $300m, how much did you think Oga patapata Emefiele go don move? To be a thief, one just has to be daring. We have seen people at lower positions steal much more than those above them. Think Atiku and OBJ for e.g. I am not speaking in Meffi's defense. Just saying that the amounts being quoted are not egregious. I'll shake when the amount is in billions of dollars or British pounds. |

larride: There are some crimes that plea bargain shouldn't even be entertained for at all. But is N50 billion not like $50 million at the current rate? Which means Meffi probably stole $70 million by extrapolation. I don't know any service Chief from 2005 that did not steal up to that. |

monerozi5590: Ok. 2015 to 2023. Bring facts if you have . People that have worked with him will always tell you he is a very honest man. Femi Adesina, Kazaure and others will always tell you that.
If you like keep shouting from now till tomorrow that Buhari is a corrupt man na you sabi. It is convenient to paint Buhari with the same brush that Jonathan showered himself with everyday to hide their obvious Jonathanism. Partly why I don't join in the Buhari pillorying. It is easy to see that Buhari was many things but thief is not one of them. Buhari is probably the poorest Nigerian former president and this includes Ernest Shonekan who was only there in the interim. And when one juxtaposes the offices he held with the "wealth and assets" he possesses - one is armed with extra proof. I don't want to hear "but his children schooled in. . ." Or "he was going for medical check-ups in . . ." He is a former president. Find out the emoluments and benefits that go along with being that. You would know that he will be able to afford it - without being a thief. |

Larride, the odds of getting fully funded via MSc route is hard to non-existent. Your 2 best options are either applying for PhD programs and then "mastering out" or writing a pity party personal statement and shooting for an MBA.
MBAs have less funding opportunities but when they are available, that is a huge ticket out of any situation. First, your odds of getting the F-1 visa approved improves significantly and then the job market is very robust for the MBA buffs. Amazon has hired 2 or 3 people I know making 220,000 - 330,000 USD per year as Technical Product Managers.
On the other hand, the PhD route is kind of windy and drawn-out but it is the best path towards funding and the Visa. Approval rate for PhDs is like 8/10 and you can come in with a TA or RA where you get your tuition waived and a stipend for conducting research for a Professor. You can always lose motivation 2 years in and ask the school for a master's degree. That is what mastering out is all about.
I'll say to make applications during the early bird season (so October-November latest for most schools) because it heightens your chances of being funded and if possible take aptitude tests like the GRE and TOEFL. Most schools are now claiming they are not needed, but they are, especially for a Nigerian with little to no research experience. Aptitude tests will bolster your application - so don't rely on anecdotes of people who did not have them but still got funded.
The USA route can be frustrating for many but the long term benefits to me are better. Biden is destroying the country so who knows what the future holds? |
