Stoplying:The laziest argument in the world is "don't quote Wikipedia". There are links and citations, silly. Dig deeper and see what you will find. LOL |
Stoplying:If you know whom you are talking to you won't be spewing this thrash. ![]() |
Chicken. Quote me.
|
Stoplying:Okay. So shame won't allow you to simply go online to ferret out the definition of forgery as a crime? Gotcha. |
Stoplying:I should help you do your own research? Even if US War College was not issuing a master's degree at the time Buhari went there to do a training on strategic studies, whatever diploma he was issued at the time will be upgraded to what the school now offers without asking. By the way, it is the same reason someone can go to a school before it was "founded". Just like ExxonMobil as a company started in 1999/2000 after the merger of Exxon and Mobil. But some idiotas on this thread may argue that Tinubu lied about working for ExxonMobil in the early 90s because the company was only formed in 1999. I never underestimate the imagination of stupid people. ![]() |
Stoplying:Okay sir.
|
That Liverpool supporting mofo I told to bounce is still following me around. I got word for you and people like you:
|
Stoplying:Please define the crime called forgery. I ask because the word can also mean to "invent" stuff Thanks. |
Itsrm:Questions will be raised by stupid people. You mean Dumbos who asked for WASSCE from Buhari even when he had military trainings in the US etc that are on the same level as acquiring a master's degree? Don't you see the ignoramuses that still make such crass jokes till today? The hordes of them are on this thread. Intelligent people can whittle out fluff first and then zero in to plausible explanations. 1997 was a very precarious time for a NADECO-ist like Tinubu when Kudirat, Rewane etc had been assassinated by Sergeant Rogers that one had to be careful about potentially exposing ones residence. If Tinubu felt that way, he could be disincentivized from picking up his diploma. That is why the real meat would have been did he claim Toronto when he schooled in Ogbomosho? Did he claim to be a 4pter when no honest institution would have conferred a participation certificate on him? I don't need to bother my head in speculating when the school gan gan have verified that he went there and graduated from there. Forget the man's checkered past. He worked for freaking ExxonMobil. I am not sure people know what it means to have worked for (Then Mobil) at the time that he did. You have to be better than Frank Abagnale Jr. to elude the background verification that they would have done on him at the time. Don't ask me how I know. LOL |
Segedinho:Can you define a crime without intent? Or better yet, define the crime, forgery? Thanks. |
Spy360:To beg Atiku because Tinubu did not graduate from CSU, right? |
raumdeuter:One sheep is leading the herd close to a pool of water. It dives in. Struggling for air as it is drowning because it misjudged the depth of the water. Guess what the rest of the sheep did? Your guess is as good as mine. ![]() |
Itsrm:Don't get bogged down by unintelligent people who like to strain at gnats and swallow camels. Let's assume he actually re-made the certificate: do you really think the appearance and design is what will be the nail on his coffin? I once mentioned here that there is a concept called the letter of the law and the spirit of the law. What the judiciary aims to do is to interpret the law AKA explain the INTENT of the law. Like why the law was actually made. That is the spirit of the law. So why is it a crime to forge a document? To deceive in other to gain an advantage. For e.g If I claim I got my MBA from Stanford rather than Lagos Business School, will I naturally not be able to command a higher salary than otherwise? When Nigerians forge financial documents or Letters of recommendation to obtain visas or admissions into top schools the intent there was to present oneself at a level to gain an advantage. One could have argued that an MBA is still an MBA but you and me know that certain colleges and institutions command higher attention A.K.A benefits so the intent is clear as to why anyone will claim they graduated from Stanford rather than LBS. Now ask yourself what Tinubu had to gain by re-making a diploma in which he did not exaggerate his class of degree or grades neither did he claim to have graduated when he did not? What would be the intent? How was he going to gain an advantage by doing so? That is what the law will check. Any other conversation people are having here is just a wanton waste of precious time. Same as the junk about going to secondary school or not. As mysterious as those are, they mean little to nothing in the grand scheme of things. It should even add to his credit that he could make something of himself by graduating cum laude from a good institution in the USA - without having the requisite background or training to do so. That's what should matter. |
Ballzproblem2:That is the position he will eventually settle in. He is going to be like Lahm and Kimmich. |
Amigoss:So you even doubt Tinubu went to CSU? Interesting. |
Remember the name. Rico Lewis. He will replace Gundogan and become one of the best players in the world. One of the most intelligent footballers I ever saw. |
DontBullshitMe:Gbam! |
Amigoss:Exactly. The question is a tricky way of saying what Tinubu submitted to INEC is not the version of the diploma your institution was issuing in 1979, right? Yes that is correct but even Tinubu is not claiming that is the 1979 version of his diploma. That is the point. |
Ellexy:He does but he does not have to divulge that to you or any random person asking for it. That is what I mean. |
izzou:Then ignore. I did not answer it caring about who asked it. |
izzou:That is not what they meant and that is not what the question even stated. The lawyer was being smart by half. In law it is called "asking a leading question". A very common trick which is what I wanted to use to trap Amigoss. If you noticed, the defense lawyer objected to it immediately and said the accuser/plaintiff was asking and answering the question at the same time. ![]() |
raumdeuter:The Wolf and the Sheep anecdote. Once the Sheep came up with another reason why it should not be devoured, the Wolf simply changed its rationale for needing to proceed till it did. |
Ellexy:I have a Nigerian Name and a Baptismal name but my Nigerian name is dominant. When I got my first job after graduating, I found out that volunteering for charitable stuff will reflect well on me in my performance assessments so I signed up to deliver free meals to elderly folks. I only signed up using my Nigerian name and work phone- they don't ask gender questions on the form and so on. On the day I was to get my first route, I received a text confirming that I will show up to take the meals at a certain time to which I agreed to. However, when I showed up the lady was surprised to see that I was a male and when I pushed her further to divulge why she thought otherwise, she said my name (which she had not known before) sounded feminine. The reason being, most Caucasians see a name that ends with a vowel especially an "a" and they immediately assume it might be the femininized version of a unisex name. For example, Tony and Tonya, Roberto and Roberta etc. So it is very plausible they could misconstrue the "Bola" name and slap an "F" beside it. It hardly means anything- so nobody will make any real issue out of it. This is just a rough example of why Tinubu is not under any obligation to waste time explaining his life's story. He could have very reasonable stories to back any issues but it will not please you or any of his detractors because you cannot wake someone up who is pretending to be asleep. |
Amigoss:Before I respond, is this the continuation from the last screenshot or something random? Note: it doesn't support your argument in either ways. |
Expert17:Carryon sir. |
Amigoss:This question means, the diploma being shown to you does not look like the 1979 version of the diploma your institution was issuing at the time, right? Based on the information you have, What would even Tinubu answer there? |
Ellexy:If you keep pandering to the whims of the feckless mob at what point will you focus on what you ought to do? You think after he answers those questions, his hecklers will be satisfied? That is not how it works. The media or opps alike are not the adjudicators. |
Expert17:Every player does but KDB is better than Bruno thats all I am saying. You know I rate Bruno so this is not the same argument you are having with your fellow United fans. |
Expert17:Blasphemy. |
That was a foul for Copenhagen every time of the day If the player had nudged Muller off the ball the same way, it would have been a penalty. |
LordAdam16:Any piece of paper that Tinubu writes his name on as well as his alma mater - claiming to have graduated from the school - is as good as any diploma or certificate that would have come from the school itself. Once you have that settled you will see that Atiku's lawyers are simply milking and bilking him. Let's say the certificate Tinubu submitted was "fake" what does that have to do with CSU? Their only interest is in certifying that Tinubu went to and graduated from their school. If he did, how can whatever he tendered be fake? It can't because it is simply claiming exactly what CSU have confirmed to be true. Think of it another way. Did Tinubu claim he graduated at an earlier time than the school were willing to testify? Did he claim a class of degree that was higher than what he actually graduated with? If no, then how can any paper that he typed the same thing on the certificate be fake? It can't because it is not the quality of paper or font type that makes a certificate real or fake. It is the claim on it. CSU have agreed with Tinubu's claims. Q.E.D. (Meanwhile they will use his pictures as one of their most celebrated alumni - as per being a president). |
User09:You are on point. The economic cycles were different but the competency level of both presidents were on par. Jonathan wasted the Golden years and Buhari could not dig Nigeria out of the doldrums that extenuating circumstances had forced her into. Obasanjo, by the way, although more intelligent than Buhari was not the economic messiah he is being celebrated as now in hindsight. Most of it is utter revisionist bunkum. The Abacha years had welcomed a lot of economic sanctions that were lifted at the turn of a democratically elected government in 1999. Obasanjo benefited from it by happenstance. It is not because of any fantastic thing he uniquely did. |
