The time is now for you to start applying for visas - US Visa appointment you can't be too early. Don't know much about UK. Depending on which appointment you secure first, then that's the order you follow. The more evidence of your ties to Nigeria the better, if you are travelling with your family I'll suggest you make hotel reservation,( you don't have to pay now and the thinking is, if you are taking your family with you the expectation that another person will host you will bring suspicion and more questions). I want to believe you have a fat bank account and would suggest avoid introducing a third party in to the mix, this brings the focus on you and you don't have to answer questions about your relation in UK or US. 1. Report your passport (with visa) lost and get a police report. Take your report and get another passport and duplicate visa - that cancels the visa on your lost passport.
2. Set the guy up and get him arrested like someone suggested earlier.
3. Pay the guy.

Visa validity period

If You Receive Conditional Admission to UNT Without TOEFL
1. You will receive an I-20 document from UNT. Use this document to apply for a student visa in your country.
2. The I-20 document will state that you are coming to UNT to study your academic degree and major. It will also state that you will study English at UNT before beginning to study for your academic degree and major.

Do it before you leave Nigeria that is cheaper and saves you time, that's my advice but it's your call. Good luck

You have a 50/50 chance going in to the embassy, avoiding so many officers will not improve your chances, it will make it worse.

If you won the lottery you will pay tuition as a resident in whatever state you live in, but if you got F-1 you pay international student tuition.

You have limited options. Try Air Canada. You are better off with the lay over time than to miss your connecting flight. Schipol Int Airport is good have fun there.
