No. You can not join any arm of the US military from outside its borders and territories. |
Request to defer admission to Spring semester. |
amykelly, Your friends need to start the visa process NOW. Available visa dates are in August, if they are lucky to get any in August, September will put her in the seventh month of the pregnancy which is getting close because of her previous experience. If you mention 'medicare' it is GUARANTEED they will not get visas. They can apply as visitors or on medical grounds; both visas are issued as B2. You need to prove your medical situation and have a solid financial backing when applying on medical grounds. Read this thread for cost and other info - https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria/topic-617280.0.html Good luck. |
jerryben12, Yes, you can still enter Nigeria with the old passport. |
Ops E, No. The important thing is the name and address, you do not have anything to do with the figures(privacy), the commission knows how to get the information if necessary. |
arthy, Are you in Canada already? If so what is the length of stay granted at the point of entry? A two months visa allows you to enter Canada within two months. |
shakers, Report your pasport (with visa) lost and get a police report. Take the police report or a copy to the embassy, request a cancellation of visa, they have all your info. When you get a new passport you should be able to get a new visa based on the merit of your last application without any headache. Make sure you provide as much information as possible for the report i.e. passport number, date of birth, name as it appears on passport etc. |
elvis212 The embassy will not attend to you if you go there, she needs to file the necessary forms in the US and get approval for you (fiancé(e) or spouse visa). Once you have approval, the embassy will contact you for interview; your girlfriend does not need to be there. However, if you are applying as a visitor again your girlfriend’s presence is not needed; you will have to proof why you are going to the US. |
Steve112, Canada is the second largest country in the world, tell people where you live (city), maybe somebody close-by will contact you. |
The embassy will attend to you if you are within six months of starting classes. Get a date now. |
Hello Fellas.NECO is an equivalent certificate to WAEC. If tonytone can not answer a simple question he posted, about NECO, he should not be asking people to contact him. http://www.neconigeria.org/corporate/about.html The NECO mandate - "However, the conduct of the Senior School Certificate Examinations (SSCE) which had, hitherto, been the exclusive preserve of the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) was made an additional responsibility of the new examination outfit. NECO was to take exclusive charge of the conduct of the SSCE for school based candidates while WAEC was to take charge of the same examination for private candidates." |
waleamobi, Go through this link: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/nigeria/study-etudie/index.aspx?menu_id=3 If funding is not an issue, you can go with your family. Also be prepared to defend why you’re duplicating your professional qualification instead of upgrading. (MBA) |
i4real, You do not need a new passport; visas are issued on passports if they are more than 6 months from expiration. A visa is different from length of stay. “Your visa does not indicate the length of stay in Canada, it only indicates the period in which you must reach the Port Of Entry (POE). When you arrive at the POE the Canada Border Service Agency Officer will advise you as to your authorized length of stay.” http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/nigeria/visas/faq.aspx?lang=eng#how_long |
rowlandoo, What is the deal with Arik? If you don't want to put up the story here, send me an email. |
rowlandoo, The question you are asking has been answered several times; you need to go through the thread. You are applying for M-1 visa (vocational or non-academic studies), the chances are slim, giving the fact that you have been denied before. What course and school were you planning to attend before? Why the change to a vocational training? Are you presently working in that field? If yes, what company and how long? Who is your sponsor, yourself, a family member or the company you work for? Finally, remember to be consistent with all the answers you have given before, all your information and previous answers are on record. If there are changes since your last appearance be able to explain and defend when asked. Good luck. |
DENNYFLEX001, Don’t be worried, be honest and provide what you and your sponsor can defend. Can your sponsor afford to by a landed property now? If no, then think of other options. |
nnamdistan, What are your questions again? The family ties could be proven purely with your relationships, especially if you are the only child, or the first child planning to travel out of the country. Your financial troubles are 80-90% over with your full scholarship, depending on the terms. |
rida01, Work permit (visa) does not mean you are a resident of Nigeria. For visa purpose the embassy will ask for your residence permit (Nigeria) or ask you to go back to Sierra Leone for your visa. |

Yemming, Spouse visa – you must be married to apply for this visa (immigrant visa) Fiancé(e) visa – you intend to marry upon arrival in the US, within 4 months of arrival (non-immigrant visa) |
rida01, You need a residence permit first. |
Try and get a copy of your travel itinerary - that shows your arrival date and sworn affidavit from your host for address. If you have a copy of your visa, let somebody send it to you by email. |
Your last post shows we are in agreement. Master of Applied Science (Computer Engineering) - carries a special fee. |
The special fees are in addition to the program fees. http://www.mun.ca/become/graduate/fees_funding/Graduate_Tuition.php Special fees (in addition to fees above) Master of Applied Science (Computer Engineering) (Plan A) Canadian: $15,302 - charged $9,181 in semester 1 and $6,121 in semester 2 International: $20,282 - charged $12,169 in semester 1, and $8,113 in semester 2 |
Can you name one please? |
Here is the breakdown, In Canadian dollars Program fee per semester $953 x 6 = $5718 Special fees (International) $20,282 x 1 = $20,282 (charged $12,169 in semester 1, and $8,113in semester 2) Above fees plus accommodation, meals, union fee, dental insurance, health insurance, books and supplies etc. A continuance fee (if applicable) of $466 per semester is required if program is not completed within 6 semesters. http://www.mun.ca/become/graduate/fees_funding/Graduate_Tuition.php |
eky102, The keyword is PLAN. Did you plan for your vacation or did the visa just appear on your passport? We both agreed these questions are reasonable so try and avoid them, and by the way getting documents together fall under planning. |
Your vacation is 2 weeks, and as soon as you come back drop your passport off for the student visa. If you drop your un-used visa at the embassy, it means you are reacting to the "no travel experience" story and if so, truly you have a visa you did not travel, so you will fall under the "no travel experience". How would you feel if the VO says no travel experience and you have a visa on your passport? |
