Eziachi:

Some one asked the question about what happened after the so called arrest as we have seen time without number and this is what usually happens:

-Media Speculation of Arrest
-Denial of anything like arrest by the person in question
-Over Publisized Arrest
-Media circus in one of the Abuja or Lagos courts
- Request for A Bail
- Request for A Bail turned down briefly
- Bail granted 24 hrs later with a corrupt former army officer now a traditional ruler as guarantor
- The Accused with his/her obese looking lawyer all smiles jumped into awaiting brand new SUV car- off home
-Welcome committee set by friends/wellwishers
- Welcome party/chieftaincy title granted
- All is forgotten
- Life goes on until another circus

i have a friend who does it, he goes into an agreement with the driver for a set amount within an agreed duration after which the driver owns the car. this might be the best option as it ought to motivate the driver.

Politics / Re: Should The Lagos State Govt Use Religious Figures To Urge People To Pay Their Tax? by angel101(f): 11:27am On Aug 01, 2008
the govt needs to first demonstrate to its people how the  taxes would be utilised to change their lot. as it stands, the average nigerian has no faith in the govt (and for good reason too)
I mean if individuals are having to perform the infrastrucutral duties meant for the govt, why would they be willing to pay tax however the msg is put across.

@poster do not even consider getting ur wife a nigerian passport ''the nigerian way'' trust me u would only get ur fingers burnt. i have seen it happen. my advise to u is to follow set procedure. just becos its ''nigeria'' should not make it any different. we are all ready and willing to follow procedures set by other countries and bodies why not nigeria? this is beyond patriotism lets try and be objective. cheers

this is a most unfair evaluation of the nig army. i dont deny that they have quite a few short comings, but they have indeed laid down their lives for their country and even other african countries.

SENATOR JD:

and what might that be? havent they been compensated? ok maybe not to the extent they expected,
were their leaders given anything if yes what happened to it, the bottom is crying that the top aint listening, and the little given they cart away with it so who should they be fighting? They should go blow up Alamieisegha's home at least he ruled them in that region, what tangible thing did he do for them?

well said my brother. i used to argue in the favour of these guys but have come to realise that they are just criminals capitalizing on the plight of their own people for their personal gains. to hell with the lot of them!

Bolarge:

And the slowpoke keeps uttering gibberish from both sides of his gap-tooth.
Initially it was some high ranking military officers that were uncomfortable with an Abiola presidency, now it's his sole responsibilty, a typical African despot's brainwave.
The gay should just go and die a la Adedibu.
He's not worthy of the political relevance he's trying desperately to whip up for himself.

LMAO!!!
