General hospital ota is nice but you have to go early for registration and antenatal because the queue is something else.

�SIGNS TO KNOW YOU ARE IN TRUE LABOUR AND HOW TO STAY COMFORTABLE IN LABOUR!

These signs will help you to identify the onset of true labour.

✅When your baby drops, you'll experience a heavy feeling in your pelvis with pressure on your bladder, and you may feel the need to urinate more frequently.
✅A blood-tinged mucous discharge called show
✅A sudden spurt of energy.
✅If your waters break.
✅Regular contractions that you cannot talk through it.

�Please, do the following:

�Apply your sanitary pad in case your water breaks or you see show then start heading to the hospital immediately.

�As you head out, don't forget this necessary items to take along in your small bag:

✔Hospital card
✔Nightingale
✔Lady Sept sanitary pad.

♻️As you get to the hospital and you are checked and confirm you to be in labour, you can now send for your luggage to be brought for you.
♻️You are going to be in labour for 16-18 hours as a first time mother(FTM).
♻️You are going to be in labour for 6-8 hours for subsequent pregnancies.
♻️You are going to be examined vaginally every 4 hours(please, take note).
♻️As you are in early phase of labour, please drink liquids to rehydrate you.
♻️Always empty your bladder often so your baby's head can descend more.
♻️Your cervix will dilate from 0-10 cm before your pumpkin is finally born.
♻️It is only two fingers (index and middle fingers) that is used to check for cervical dilation.
♻️Move around in the early phase (2cm-4cm)
♻️From 4cm cervical dilation, you have entered active phase when the process changes rythym.
♻️Don't shout but take a deep breath (inhale and exhale) once the contractions start.
♻️Obey instructions of your midwife or doctor to push or not to push.
♻️If you start pushing early, you could tear your cervix leading to excessive bleeding.
♻️Once you are asked to push, raise your head, bring both your head and your chin to your chest.
♻️Hold your two ankles firmly and *PUSH* as if you want to have the biggest BM (bowel movement) of your life.
♻️If contractions stops, you stop pushing and relax.
♻️Once your baby heads crown and pop out, the intensity of the pain is reduced because your baby is the passenger.
♻️Once your baby is born successfully, within 2-5minutes, your placenta is delivered.
♻️Please, put your baby to breast as soon as your baby is born.
♻️Above all, PRAY, tell God how you want it

My beautiful princess arrived yesterday 5th Sept at 33 weeks weighing 1.8kg through emergency CS because of PIH and preeclampsia. Baby is undergoing observation at the NICU. mother is recovering well. Daddy is doing great too.

Yoruba people call it "ewe aroje"...I don't know what igbos call it.
I don't think it's sold because it gets spoilt easily...if you were close by,it's much around here .

Good morning mommas,I thought to share this with us.
For preggy mamas who have low PCV... One home remedy I know of is "blood of Jesus" or "hospital too far" leaf.
It's a herb that boosts blood level for anaemic patients & pregnant women.
The herb contains, among other things, active components such as iron, folic acid and vitamin B12 that have been reported to restore blood components. It helps to treat both iron deficiency anaemia and megaloblastic anemia according to a Nigerian research.

How to prepare:
Boil the leaf with water, you'll notice the water turns red...pour in a cup and add milk to it, the colour will turn purplish after milk is added...To be taken two times daily...before meal in the morning and after meal at night.
I tried it and it worked for me.
NB : You can make your research online about it too before using.

Please o Sabi mamas help me i throw up food some hours after eating and I feel that's still normal but for some days now when I drink water I throw up. Help me with suggestions what to do so as not to be dehydrated

Maybe you do drink the water in large quantities,make sure you always have a cup of water beside you.
Drink often and in small quantities.

I will be ungrateful if I don't share my birth story because God has been AWESOME to me.


I got married in 2017, had an MC a few months after. Since my periods were irregular before I had the miscarriage, it got worse. I tried different drugs, saw different doctors and the story just kept getting worse and worse. From hormonal imbalance to having high prolactin to having intramural fibroid and annovulation. I did womb setting and tried herbal places but it just seemed like nothing was working. Then we found out that I was not ovulating, so we decided to do IUI in January. We were still saving for the IUI when I found out that I was pregnant. We used the money meant for the IUI for baby's shopping, we had faith that everything will be fine.


For several weeks, scan couldn't find the baby until I did TVS and I was informed that there was a baby, a cyst and a fibroid in the womb. I had a slight pain and bleeding for just a night. Then morning sickness set in around week 6 but it disappeared around 12 weeks.

By week 15, they said I had placenta previa and I had to be on bed rest. Everything was going fine until I suddenly had protein in my urine, high BP and swelling in both hand and legs. By week 34 I had preeclampsia, so we decided to do elective CS by week 37.

However, the scan dates kept going backwards, the doctor couldn't determine if the baby was term or not. I had to login into my ovia fertility app to check my LMP which puts my EDD around August 29. The CS was supposed to take place by Wednesday or Thursday, the first week of September but my water broke on Sunday morning, by 12 am on the 30th of August.

I was 4cm by the time we got to the hospital. I was given an enema and I felt so sleepy. I just wanted to sleep so they gave me glucose and I felt energized. They checked my blood pressure and the baby's heartbeat and everything seemed fine.

After walking around with my hubby for some minutes, I was 8cm dilated. The pain was coming and going but it wasn't so much. I was asking for hot drip or whatever to hasten things up, but the doctor said no. The next thing I felt was like I was pressed to urinate, my screams almost brought down the building

My hubby became a pastor, firing prayers. I heard my mom singing songs of praises outside while I just kept screaming and then saying God of the author of supernatural delivery should help me too, I tried breathing techniques but nothing worked. I forgot every birth stories I had read about and all the techniques in my head.
The nurses were super nice, they kept encouraging me, saying for a first timer I was doing well. Then I remembered to tell them not to give me tears or cut.

So, they asked me not to push but it was hard since I felt like urinating. They asked me to pee on the bed but instead I felt the baby's head and they gave me a little cut. I started crying with happiness when the oyinbo baby slid out of me, and she started screaming. They cleaned her up and took her to my hubby. I heard him asking of me since I wasn't screaming again. At that point, I started praying for the nurses and their families

I was given an injection before the cut was sutured but the contractions were the worse pain I ever felt

Then the placenta was delivered within minutes and I was cleaned up too. The contractions started by 2.30 am and baby came by 3.45 am.

We were discharged same day, baby had BCG today and we are all good. God is awesome.


Thanks to all the TTC mamas who shared their testimonies, your stories gave me the strength to keep trying. I pray for a supernatural conception for all GTC mamas and a supernatural delivery to all pregnant mamas on this forum, your joy will never be cut short. I rejoice with you all my September teamies because it will end in praise.

I hope to be back by December 2021 for my second missionary journey.

I welcomed my Platinum princess on the 26th of August through ECS. So sorry this is coming late. Mama is suffering from headache due to spinal anaesthesia. Mama that has gone through this pls shook mouth and help a mum on what to do.

MY BIRTH STORY
The pregnancy journey was a smooth one just like my first pregnancy, I had no malaria, nausea, or morning sickness.
So on Thursday 20th of August, exactly 33weeks around 1am I started having contraction, I thought it was false contraction cos i had it two weeks before. The contraction continued till 5am and I couldn’t sleep. When hubby woke up and saw me he was scared, he asked us to start going to the hospital and I told him to relax that it’s false contraction that am just 33weeks. Although have gotten all the baby things but I haven’t arranged it, I said I will do that by ending of the month not knowing baby will surprise me. Please I implore us once you are in third trimester that packing your things, you never can tell. So around 8am we went to the hospital where I registered, it’s a private hospital.
I went in and saw the doctor I told her I was having contraction, she was like contraction ke? At 33 weeks. She now said she will do V.E and when she did I was 4cm dilated. She gave me injection that will aid the lungs of the baby. She now said she has to refer me to another hospital cos the baby will need incubator, I was now getting scared and started praying and telling God that I know he will not fail me and that he brought me this far so he won’t forsake me or leave me half way. I explained to my husband and we went to the hospital we were referred to. We didn’t even go with the baby things because I taught we will just go to the hospital and they will stop the contraction. So when she got to the hospital we were referred to they also referred us to another hospital again, a teaching hospital.
When we got there my liquor was leaking already, I was wheeled to where they do scan the baby was weighing 2.2kg. They also did V.E I was 5cm gone. They asked if it was my first pregnancy I said no, they asked me when I gave birth to my first, I told them it was 40 weeks and 5days. So I was wheeled to the labor room, I think after 2 or 3 hours oxytocin was injected to the drip, labor now started with full force, while I was in the labor room my Mum called me and I spoke to her calmly cos I don’t want her to panick. After 5 hours I got to the labor room I started feeling the urge to push and I was moved to another bed, after two attempts of pushing my baby came out crying out loudly, the doctor was like the baby doesn’t sound like a preterm baby. He weighed 2.5kg and he was okay without incubator. The doctor said maybe I miscalculated my Lmp, I told him am not a baby that my lmp was January 2nd, he na said maybe I was already pregnant before I saw my last period. So time for placenta to come out it refuse to come out, the nurse dip her hand inside to check me she said she can’t even feel it that it’s still far away, I started praying again for God to complete what he started, after 10minutes it came out, I had little tears and it was stitched. My husband was not there, he was told to go and donate blood, so I gave birth before he came back. He was so happy. Eventually there was no need for the blood. My Pcv was 36 % after delivery.
Few minutes later I was moved to the maternity ward, and I started putting the baby to breast. The baby just came as a surprise. I was given a message that God said he deliberately brought the baby earlier to surprise and destroy the plan of those waiting to strike on the day of labor. I bless God for the journey so far. I pray for every mother here that God will make your journey a successful one and you will all deliver safely. And to Gtc this year is your year in Jesus name, baby dust to you all.
