you can bro if you know how to hide stuff very well. truth is that those soldiers don't have that luxury of time to check bag thoroughly cos of the long queue of PCM they still have to check. what they do is to ask you to open the bag then use hand to feel the side and bottom with visual inspection. Another thing you can do is to locate a shop or business very close to the camp, get the contact of the business owner and drop stuff u won't need with him/her maybe with a fee so person can secure your item for you

Except there were other things that led to the OP's reaction, telling her how she doesn't care about you cause she asked for some call credit makes it look like it's a crime for people to ask their partners for stuff. But then again, the OP's reaction shows the request came at the wrong time cause he was (maybe still is, lol) broke and that was probably the source of his anger.
