The NYSC is surely a military reserve. Its clearly stated that in the case of war, serving core members could be drafted in capacities deemed fit. You'd expect engineering graduates, medical graduates and other disciplines to be drafted to respective units.
One of the reason the scheme cant be scrapped.

I met a female student lawyer named Gontse. Very smart girl. We also moved our thing to whatsapp and had several calls, but we somehow stopped talking.

The most painful one was a case of two portugese sisters whose family was running a diamond mining and club business in angola. Their names are Camile and Carnish, I guess. This one is a long story, but it was fun while it lasted. I had their number at some point, and we exchanged texts.

All these happened between 2011 and 2013.
