Hello Everyone, please I have a frd who plan to study in Canada.

B.Sc: Biochemistry in Nigeria.

She worked as a Qualiity control assistant for 2 yrs and also as a Customer service officer for 3 years.

She had no work experience for the past 5 years but currently have biz ( Kids Clothing) which is not registered.

She intend to travel with her 2 children (5 years and 4 years old) while her husband continue to work in Nigeria.

Her husband does not intend to relocate for now but will sponspor her education.

Do you think it possible for her to get a study visa for a program related to her B.Sc field ?
This is a difficult situation. She needs to say wat she has been doing for the 5yrs and it has to relate to either her bsc or her current work experience.

Finally she should travel alone and leave her kids behind with their father.

Its possible to get a masters or PGD in customer service or quality control which is closely related to her bsc.

Hi Good day every one. Pls I am a first time applicant to Canadian universities for Masters and I want to ask if I can pay the universities application fee with my debit card here in Nigeria or is there another way to go about it?
You can pay via flywire if your school has that provision (will be made available in your admission letter) or you can pay with your debit card but theres a limit or if you have somebody over there you trust 100%, he or she can pay for you.

Hon. Anon ,

the COVID-19 readiness plan list has nothing to do with updates sent to applicants from IRCC, my school is yet to be on the list and I got BVL,
if the application of those few guys (for Conestoga College) av exceeded Standard Processing Time, they should send a Webform & Mail to IRCC Nairobi and other offices like China.

The content in the link below would help them on that,
https://www.nairaland.com/5818588/canadian-student-visa-thread-part/473#95627040

If their application is still within the Standard Processing Time, they should still be patient.
For the bolded, i thought it did. Thanks for the update. mails will be bombarded.

Very confusing.
My previous course is a BS.C in Computer Sciences. Second class lower
Proposed course is in Cybersecurity
Less than a year work experience as my graduation date was December 2019.
I have no study gaps.
Do u have any experience in Networking or network security within the less that one year experience.
when did you finish nysc?
On your sop, did you do justice to why you are pursing cybersecurity with a year experience.
did you include any certification to at least show you have interest in the course.
did you mention anything about hometies on your sop.
did you state you are not working?

The vo knows how competitive/ Lucrative cybersecurity is but he wonders you had a low grade, with less than a year experience, which he is yet to know if it was related to computer science and also taking note of the low grade, what have you done tom show genuine interest in cybersecurity.

@Anon123, I appreciate your insightful comments and contributions on this platform.

However, I have concerns that the bolded suggestion put forward by you as regards @milkytins enquiry is misleading and falsifying.

Advising @milkytins to conceal the fact of having acquired a Masters and PhD in his reapplication is misrepresentation. Please note that withholding material facts relating to a relevant matter according section 40(2)(a) of the Canadian Immigration law would automatically render him inadmissible to Canada for a period of five (5) years. Therefore, I don't believe this is the best move at this point in his application.

@milkytins, truth be told it is almost impossible to convince the visa officer that you're a genuine student. The GCMS note has adequately enumerated the concerns of the visa officer and reapplying to study a master's program which is lower than your already completed degree doesn't show a career progression. As a consequence, I would strongly encourage you to explore the Express Entry route, max your IELTS (8,7,7,7), get your credentials evaluated by WES/ICES and apply to become a permanent resident of Canada. The PR route is straightforward and more assured once your documents are complete.

As always, it will end in praise
Duly noted

Pls kindly help me to analyse this case note.
I applied for M.Sc Data Science at TRU but already have B.Sc., M.Sc., and PhD in Computer (OAU). Also note that the officer didn't mention family ties as part of refusal cos I added my family to my application with enough POF.
Why will you include your masters in OAU in your application. How did you think you will get the visa ?
You are not meant to include your phd of masters certificates. You are not meant to let them know at all. Just apply with your bsc.

Hello. Going by this, what if you want to continue studies based on your first degree and not your work experience. Do you then discard the work experience?
You need to show some form of experience gained related to the first degree to which you are going for further studies in canada. Thats whybi said you need to show career or academic progression. If you studied microbiology and you into interior designs, your program has to tally with interior designs since you dont have any experience in microbiology. But if you are working as a microbiologist, then you can apply for programs related to microbiology.

Good day friends... Please I have series of questions and I'll appreciate every assistance rendered

I wish to relocate to Canada with my family.. (wife and 2 kids)

My wife 34yrs wish to study an undergraduate course and I and the kids will be going with her as dependant, so I can work to support her and make living too

We have about 4 to 5 million in our savings

Q1. Is my wife's age still acceptable for an undergraduate study in Canada

Q2 can I get cheap schools that will be within our budget

Q3 can I actually accompany her and work there

Q4 can I do all processing myself without a travel agent?

Please don't tell me to invest my savings here in naija.. I can't let my kids grow up in this situation of the country

I will really appreciate your support

Thanks in anticipation
Q1) Theres no age limit to education but for your wife of 34 going for another bsc in canada, she will get the admission but I can tell you in all honesty, she won't get the visa, her denail reason will be purpose of visit, so I will suggest she goes for either a PGD or a masters related to her bsc or current job experience.

Q2) There are no cheap schools in canada within anybody's budget. University for masters tuition ranges from 25-40kcad while college PGDs ranges from 14-20k cads.

Q3) you can but from peoples experience, I will advise your wife goes alone, you and your kids will stand in as her hometies m. When she gets there, you can apply for a spousal work permit that gives you the chance to work in canada as long as your wife stays in canada while she kids get the chance to go to school there.

Q4)you can do it yourself if you are ready to reqd the thread from start. You can always ask questions if you want but dont expect line by line explanations. Few gurus might not have the time which is why they encourage you read the thread

4-5mil can't get you to canada. You will need more. You need at least your 1st year tuition plus 10,000cad in your account to show you have the financial capabilities to take care of your fees plus living expenses (thats where the 10,000cad applies)

For those that just applied last 2weeks and already asking for updates. FYI, they are people that applied since March, gotten AIP, done medicals and still waiting. Not saying it might apply to you but saying. Theres a standard processing time for applications and it increases or reduces based on the amount of applications received.

Therefore if you applied last month or this month.. Just forget about the updates and focus on your daily activities. If you get an update, you email will beep you. Do not anticipate immediate responses.

Hi guys, I applied for a student visa March but was rejected based on this reason “I am not satisfy that you will leave canada at the end of stay…Based on purpose of visit”. I applied for Graduate Certificate in Marketing Management. I use to work as a Creative Director and now a Project Director.

According to my GCMS note
1. Should i change my course from Marketing Management to Project Management?
2. Will changing of course affect my next application?
Theres no way creative Director or project director is related to Marketing management which is the reason why purpose of visit was the only reason given. If you decided on a course, make sure its in line with your current experience/job description mostly. Most people study A in bsc and come out working in B field. If you wish to apply for Canadian admission, you must maintain a career progression by applying to courses related to B. In other cases you studied A, graduated and work in the A field, pls maintain programs related in that A field. I say this cos Admission is easy cos schools are more interested in your money but the visa stage is the koko and they dont care if you have millions stack in your account but your intended program isnt related to your present experience. Its a straightforward purpose of visit denial.

To answer your question, yes you need to change the course to something related to your experience or job role

Hello, Good evening guys, please I have an issue please is there anyone in the house who applied for Saskatchewan polytechnic.
I want to make payment for tution fee to secure my admission. And the only option stated by the school is to use flywire.
1. The rate for flywire is too expensive, is there any other alternative
2. If none how am I going to make the payment through flywire
3. Please is there a way to get the school beneficiary account to pay it through a form A

Please it's urgent the deadline for payment is 30th October. Please anyone.
You can mail the school for the account. For flywire, you log in and search for the school name, it should be there ,fill in your program name , your name and student number. Once thats done you pay. Yes they are expensive but they are reliable and they issue tuition receipt in 3-4days.

Hello guys... My questions are...

1. I am a graduate of Botany and can't go for MSc because i don't have a 2.1, so which related courses can i get if i apply for a P Cert and what's the tuition range?

2. I'm interested in changing career entirely and going into IT, can i get scholarships for undergraduate studies? Thanks.
Hello Chief.

Do you have experience in the IT field or done some IT certifications. For PGDs, its close to impossible to get scholarships except for masters whixh is even hard to get it.
