kunlewisdom: Good day everyone, I am new here and Please I need your help on the following questions.
1. My brother applied for a study permit and was refused based on the following reasons:
• I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on your family ties in Canada and in your country of residence. • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
2. His Sponsor was our maternal Uncle he has a registered biz, but we don't bear the same surname, I will like to know if this could be one of the reasons why he was refused, any idea please.
3. I want him to re-apply for the Visa but I will like to know if he can change the sponsor at this stage to Mum and then myself as a co-sponsor I work in a manufacturing company, Mum has a business but not registered with CAC, can this be a barrier?
4. I want to request for his GCMS but I learnt that only people living in Canada can apply, please any idea on how I can go about this.
Thanks to everyone as you help me on this questions Sorry for your denial.. For the purpose of visit, what did he apply for bsc ,masters , diploma or PGD. For the home ties.. Who and what did he use as hometies. In his reapplication you and your mum can be his sponsors. Even the maternal uncle can still be a co-sponsor. |

Nenye2015: Please I will like to make inquiries about FairLeigh Dickinson University Vancouver. It’s actually a private University in the USA with a campus in Vancouver Canada. I want to apply for Masters of Administrative science and the program is eligible for Pgwp. I will like to know if it’s a good idea going for a private university instead of a public university and the chances of securing a visa approval. Nobody here can authoritatively tell you yes or no. Its left for you to pray and trust yourself. |

scaezar: Everything was genuine boss. To the tiniest detail. My cousin applied for me in Canada and what exactly went wrong was he picked 'no' to the question "have you been denied visa before" which i have. He went on to get an immigration lawyer in Canada to help out and draft a reply back then. I understand this is a serious offence so my mind is set on getting a ban. But it bothers me that they are just silent. I mean.. The ban should start counting already by now. Wooow... He did what!... Thats a very very huge and costly mistake.. Well order for your gcms note to know what's delaying |

FundRaiserNg: I actually intend applying alone. Then put in their application for a visitor's visa even while still in naija. Then travel and bring them in after one month.
However, please how long does spousal work permit take to process? What are the chances? Its unknown now considering the pandemic. Even SP timeline is unknown. My guy applied for the wife, on her gcms note it has been approved and medicals done but since then. Nothing from CIC. Focus on getting there first, every other will come in slowly. Why not use a spousal work permit which is better than a visit visa. |

If not, can anyone help list other strong ties suggested aside from having family or landed property... Thanks fam. The bolded is a hometie.. Your family is a hometie Properties except a car is a hometie |

FundRaiserNg: I am preparing to apply for student visa. I would like to have my wife and 2 kids join me as soon as possible. I am thinking of the following.
1. Apply for a visitor's visa for my wife and two kids immediately my visa is issued, so that they can join me, atleast one month after my travel.
Please advice if this plan is achievable or are there bottle necks that could hinder this strategy? Why not apply for first alone, use your family as your hometies. When you get there, you apply for a spousal work permit for your wife whixh Also includes your kids. |

scaezar: Hello please i got a PFA(Procedural fairness letter) in April concerning my application, which i responded to. Since then till now, i haven't heard anything from them. Should i chill? Or try to contact them? Can anybody help with this? If im gonna have to try and contact them, how do i do that please? I want to ask you one question. Are you 100% sure your documents are genuine, none is fake. If yes, you have nothing to worry about. If no, sorry but its likely you will get a 5yr ban from applying to canada. You can apply for your gcms note to know what's delaying your application |

elmogaji: I got admitted to study Bachelor of commerce in Healthcare management at Humber college and it requires that I pay a tuition deposit of about $9,525 CAD, which is the equivalent of first semester tuition, and it must be received by the college on/or Nov 11, my question is I can only afford to make about $2000 CAD at the moment, please am I wasting my time or I should go ahead and make the payment, and submit my application at the embassy? I will advise against going further with this. This is why Following your write up, it shows If you pay $9,525cad, you won't have enough to show you can cover the balance for the tuition plus 10,000cad living expenses. Hope you have familiarized yourself with the schools refund otherwise how will you pay such a huge amount with no guarantees of visa approval. I will advice you consider Conestoga college with a tuition deposit of $1250cad. |

kode12: Thanks for your response. I've been very busy and I've not really followed up with the process up till now. I saw a mail from the agent saying he doesn't need to pay extra for the medical, so I'd imagine it was all part of the initial payments made to the agency. I'm still trying to understand the whole canada student visa process. Is it right to assume the clinic will forward details of the medicals to Canada immigrations or to the visa processing agents? Pls I will be honest with u...you are being scammed. The clinic isnt affiliated with anybody except the Canadian embassy meaning u pay for yourself as you come. The clinic sends the results themselves to thw embassy . Has he done biometrics? Again I repeat .. Tell the agent to send you evidence of medical request. If not, you have been scammed |

Frankrobbn1: .
@Anon123, you're not getting it right on this ground.
ATIP - processing times for GCMS notes takes max 15 to 17 days. It has nothing to do with whether or not it's a business day or weekends. Generally, processed requests are received between Monday's to Fridays, other non working days also count towards the processing times. Therefore, for those using third party GCMS websites, you should receive your notes delivered to your email address in 30-35 days not working days as advised by @Anon123
I hope this information is sufficient to your concerns.
It will end in praise. Okay Chief.. Thanks for the correction |

donbuscka: Good day everyone. I appreciate the info so far. However, i have a question bothering me deeply..
My wife want to apply for Study permit and include our 8 months old daughter and I as dependants/spouse in the application.
1. Do we stand a chance of getting approval or does adding family members affect the chances of success?
2. Can she apply alone first and when she gets approved and travel, then me and our daughter will apply? It this a possible route? Any implications?
I will appreciate your guidance please. 1) nobody can tell you authoritatively if you will get a visa approval or not but rather give you clues to increase your chances. 2) thats the route you should follow to increase your chances. You and your daughter will stand in as her hometies, when she gets approved, you both can apply for spousal work permit. |

kode12: @justwise @other elders in the house please help me out.
A relative is applying to study in Canada via an agency. He is going to study a program in a College, although he's over 18, not a full B.Sc. yet. I have not been privy to the application details from the onset and no one in the family seems to have complete information as regards the process, they simply gave it off to the agency. He's currently in the Medicals stage, and the agency has asked him to go for Medicals in one hospital within VI. I am a bit skeptical as they aren't really providing information about the full process.
Questions 1. Does Canada not require an interview before granting the student visa? 2. At what point will he be called for the interview? 3. Does Canada Visa allow medicals to be done at just any hospital or is ........Q-Life Family Clinic, Plot 155a Prince Ade Odedina Street, off Sinari Daranijo, Victoria Island Annexe,................................ An approved clinic for Canada medical tests.
I'd appreciate if anyone with information about this can help clarify, thanks. Thats the disadvantage of using an agency. They will never ever give you access to see your own application yoy paid for. Pls you dont need an interview, in fact Canadian immigration protocol does not need physical interviews, you do your talking via an SOP (statement of purpose). My advice is this, demand you know the status of the application cos if the applicant got a medical request, they should be a letter telling him to do so. If they dont offer you pls dont bother cos those guys are just playing with you. They tell you to go for medicals making you have hope and at the end, they present one lie as a reason. Finally the only approved clinics for medicals for Canadian immigration is just Family clinic in VI and IOM in Ikeja only in lagos and Abuja. But do not go for that medicals unless you have an evidence telling you to do so. Besides the medicals is not free.. Finally why is an 18yr old not applying for a Bsc in a university but rather applying to a college for a different program thats not BSc.. Pull the plug now before its too late. |

PendD: Hello Friends, I got refused and was asked to reapply if i have answers to the reasons they stated in my letter. I have provided the reasons and reapplied. To my surprise, my UCI number changed from what it was in the first app to another. I am a bit worried as to why this happened. I thought the number was unique anyways. Does any one have answes to this? Secondly my biometric info appear blank, maybe it will take time to reappear but with this changed UCI, i am a bit worried. pls help with answers if u have When you reapplied, on your imm form filled , did you leave the UCI number section blank? If yes, thats why you are having a new number and its possible you might do another biometrics for this new UCI number (not sure but possible). You are meant to fill the immm form and include the old UCI number or your last application, thats the unique that carries the info about your previous application even tgr biometrics information. On your application portal, do you see a biometrics number there if not, den my assumptions of doing a biometrics is correct. |
