NOUN AM NEWS: IMPORTANT MATTERS ARISING


Firstly, today, 10th June marks the end of TMA 2 while GST TMA 1-3 will remain opened till the end of TMA 3. In other words, endeavour to confirm your TMA 2 scores today as we have 16 hours left according to the countdown on nouonline.net and we are not expecting an extension.


Secondly, this semester, NOUN is running both physical and virtual POP exam for students in 300 level and above. Meanwhile, e-exam will start with GST on 28th of June.


Thirdly, there have been complaints from e-exam students regarding some missing courses on e-exam timetable but the only drafted timetable released so far may be the "final draft" for few reasons. Nevertheless, we are still expecting "additional timetable" from the management which will contain all the omitted courses.

The red arrow indicate that you only have less than 6 hours to uploading your business plan... For you to pass this course you need to do three things namely; Business plan write up Presentation defense and Examination to be written.


Note without attending this 3 process that will lead to a carry over.

EXTENSION OF TMA 1 DURATION


I am pleased to announce the extension of TMA 1 to you. Hence, the duration for submission of TMA has been extended to 21st May as a result of the bugs on the portal. I think this is a good news but still we must ensure we submit our TMA on time. However, the closing date for course and exam registration remains tomorrow, Friday, 7th May.

2021 TMA: UNSTABLE STATE OF TMA PORTAL


Kindly be informed that TMA portal is currently unstable and under maintenance. A situation whereby you find CIT questions instead of ESM questions. We bring you this important update to avoid confusion and shock!


Therefore, TMA 1 will be opened for 21 days starting from Monday May 1st to May 22nd. The link to submit TMA 2 will be opened after closure of TMA 1. Finally, closure of course and exam remains 7th May.

NOUN: SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT


Firstly, this is to bring to your notice that registration of courses and exams will close on 15th April and there won't be any form of extension because NOUN is making use of 2020/2021 academic calendar that was released last semester. Please try as much as possible to pay your tuition fee on or before Thursday and ensure you register your courses and exams.


Secondly, about fifteen (15) days after the closure of course and exam registration, the submission of continuous assessment which is popularly known as Tutor Marked Assignment (TMA) will commence on 30th April.


Thirdly, in addition to the activities stated above, other required academic activities for this semester include project, seminar, field course/trip, IT/SIWES, Teaching Practice (TP), ENT210: Start-up Funding and GST302: Business Plan. Uploading of business plan will be open on 26th April and ends on 16th May.


Finally, after doing all the necessary things then we can start preparing for POP examination that will commence on 1st June and runs for two (2) weeks by buying past questions and examination summary from us. I hereby advise all students who are writing POP exam for the first time to ensure they buy/download and study past questions before sitting for their papers. There is no shortcut to success in POP examination, therefore you have to take the stairs but to be candid, early preparation is the key to succeed in POP examination.

In addition, external supervisors from NOUN headquarters would be visiting your place of attachment this week but there is no specific date for now. Therefore, be fully prepared to welcome them. Kindly ensure your logbook is neatly filled, dated and duly signed by your industrial supervisor.


Also, POP exam for 2020_2 will commence on 5th January in the absence of postponement.

We are in year 2020 and the semester that is most active is 2020_2. Surprisingly, this evening the story changed! What we saw on the portal was 2021_1 semester course and exam registration.


In essence, if there is any course that you missed the registration in 2020_2, kindly proceed to fund your eWallet and register it. The commencement of another semester is an indication that NOUN is not joking or waiting for anybody at all.


I will advise you to sit right and do whatever you want to do on time to avoid clashing of semesters activities because the implication is that you would be left behind if you fail to act fast. Now, everyone should login and check if you are offering the following courses:
