Jones4190: So Atiku was Head of Economic Team under Obasanjo, he was the one who blocked Lagos State revenue for 8yrs, when Bola Ahmed Tinubu was the Governor without minding the suffering of Lagos State civil servants and the populace. This is a man who want to be Nigerian President. So if he becomes President, South West will kick Lagos/Ibadan Expressway bye bye, Lagos/Ibadan Railway Project bye bye. He will starve Lagos of Funds again. Lagos people, should remember that once between, twice shy. Me I don take my own as an elder stateman Buhari cancelled the planned Lagos Metroline Project in 1985 and even had to pay millions of dollars in reparation to the contractor. He also jailed/humiliated prominent South West leaders including Awolowo, Lateef Jakande, Bola Ige and Bisi Akande among others. ...but you supported/voted him twice. |

I tried contacting CAC but the response is taking a million years to arrive. Government workers are like that.

drlateef: Yes!!! APC owes him because he invested in APC. That’s the truth. Nobody owes Tinubu nothing. Democracy has already made him richer than he could ever possibly be in life. As we speak, his Alpha-Beta company still dubiously steals about 14.6% of Lagos State's earning EVERY 30 DAYS! in the name of "Tax Consulting" This is besides the tons of other assets belonging to the state that he has cornered for himself and family. He should rather thank his lucky stars the Nigeria has a virtually non-existent Justice System otherwise he'd be cooling off in jail by now. We have repeatedly told you lot that the destinies of over 200million Nigerians SHALL NOT be traded for political compensation just to satisfy the greed-driven cravings of one frail and demented octogenarian looter. That man is everything a Nigerian president MUSN'T be. Anyone who feels indebted to him can go erect monuments in his honour and pay him daily obeisance...that's none of Nigerians' business but the presidency especially at this critical time requires a young, healthy, cerebral and above all relatively-clean leader to take us out of the doldrums. |

That's the carefully-crafted narrative Tinubu and his media men have been trying to force down our throats all the while. Nobody owes him nothing.
He did play a pivotal role in the APC's formation and substantially funded it, but that's all there is to it. The likes of Amaechi and Atiku also massively funded the party in the run-up to the 2015 election. Nigerians across religious and ethnic divides made Buhari president in 2015. Despite the intimidation and widespread rigging in Lagos, Tinubu could only deliver a marginal 160,000 votes, which even if deducted would have been insignificant to influence the final outcome of the election.
The real (unsung) heroes are the people of the middle-belt - Kwara, Benue, Plateau, Kogi and Nassarawa who delivered their traditionally PDP states to Buhari/APC.
Enough of this nonsense! |

In my opinion, only those earning upwards of 1.5M should ever have a second thought when an opportunity to relocate to a 1st world country arises. @ charles009: This should be an easy decision given that you earn less than $1K in a month. Anyone earning in Naira gets poorer everyday with the unabating slump in the local currency. In a few months' time, PMS will be selling for nothing less than N400/liter and the domino effect of it will reflect in the prices of every other item out there. So, technically you'll be earning less than your current salary as the naira keeps weakening relative to the USD. |

Any NATO member country will definitely have military hardwares stationed in their country, so this is just a cheap excuse to avoid a military conflict and still not appear weak. If attacking Ukraine was a business venture, Russia ventured into, it would be a bad investment. In other to stop Ukraine from joining NATO, they lost Finland and Sweden to NATO Incisive! |

The statement reads, “One of the commissioners nominated for appointment by Senator Ibrahim Shekarau into the administration of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje in the lucrative ministry of finance and economic development, Shehu Na’Allah Kura has resigned and joined his boss.”
According to Malam Muhammad Garba, Kura was appointed as commissioner into the key ministry at the request of Shekarau after the 2019 election. "...lucrative ministry,...key ministry". In the National Assembly, they call it "juicy" portfolio/committee. This is sadly what political appointments in Nigeria are all about...just an avenue for self-enrichment/political patronage...no genuine commitment to serve the people at all.
