Before you call anyone a christian, be sure to check according to the new testament standard (I don't mean Perfection, but Christlikeness). Not just about a Holiness preaching church's standard: some of them are deeply rooted in useless Traditions of Men.

One reason why I had to stop going to church back in 2014 was that most church founders, pastors and their members are more concerned about Money and Honour in the World; not Jesus and His Kingdom. He said one cannot Serve Two Masters: God and Money.

Hence, most called christians or church goers are just living in a world of the delusion thinking their saved according to their church religions or doctrines: the Proof is they don't Obey Jesus according to the New testament (John 14:15; 15:14); most (christians) even see the Words of Jesus as Foolishness.

If you want eternal life, Repent of Sin and WORLDLINESS First (not about rushing down to church): Look at Jesus and His True examples like Paul. Be Baptized in Water, Read and Obey His Words in the new testament...

And then Forget People, Modern Pastors after the Order of Judas and False Prophet Balaam who have gone Astray because of the Love of Money and Popularity...

Well, maybe you're right cos mine could be actually worse. In my case, I knew there was a True God in my conscience, and Jesus is the Truth.

Nevertheless, the lust of the eyes, the lust of the flesh and the Pride of life held me captive: the lust to "be among" and receive glory from people couldn't let me see far nor Fear God.

But something happen in 2010: I almost died, and became utterly helpless in a serious mess. Then I remembered God.

I started Repenting: stopping addictions and bad habits; fearing God and battling foolishness and WORLDLINESS in my flesh... I started reading and seeking Grace to Obey the New testament Bible...

It's real friend, God helped and saved me. It's not cool but the Trouble helped escape the corruption in the world through lust in me. I had to learn the Hard way.

Lastly, some reading this may also not be ready, or may have strong passion keeping them from God now... That's serious, but should you have a serious calamity or trouble later, just remember: God still Loves You, just come to Him and Remain with Him.

I disagree with Paul for that. In the Bible, the were female leaders/teachers who had the Call of God. E.g Deborah, Hannah, Miriam, Anna(prophetess) in the New testament, and others. God still use women to teach and preach the Gospel, even in the church.

No friend, it's the Holy Spirit speaking through Paul, not the words of Paul. It's not wise to disagree with God.

I've been thinking this for over 2 weeks now.
I'm totally depressed and I want to end it all.
I'm not here to pretend I need help but people that knows me well knew that I've been seeking for assistance to get a job for more than a year now but it's not coming forth.
I think this will be the only way to stop the pains I'm feeling in my heart.
How can I be jobless and my mates are making it big. Even my course mates in school are achieving. I think I'm at the bottom of my mate.
Whom do I offend? What's the purpose of staying in the world with nothing to show.
I can't take a taxi to go out on my own without first treaking half of the distance to cut tfare expenses.
I've a thread on this nairaland about poultry. I've been doing well in poultry before financial crises comes in. I even have a WhatsApp group of 80+ participants that have gain more about poultry but my poultry business have fold up due to some financial crises.
I'm not just a new member here so people shouldn't think this a stunt.
I have HND certificate in civil engineering. I've seek for jobs from a lot of places, even some nairaland members have promise to help some times ago but help isn't coming forth so I've think the best option for me is to stop d pain. I can't be at the bottom of my mate while everyone is achieving good tins.
Though I'll miss my wife and son but I can't be killing myself little by little by thinking about how my life has been so useless since over 3 decades back.
