Believe it, Russian rules of engagement mandates restraint on civilians contrary to what you read on media about 1 or 2 mishaps, thats why they are going slowly, infact the are just waiting for each surrounded city to run out of weapons, which will happen in about 2 weeks. No they can't repel the invasion by virtue of their military might but they can prolong it, Russia would succeed initially in taking the cities but the fighting will be very prolonged after that.

The Ukrainian Air force were trained on Russian made fighter jets, Poland has a lot of them.

Poland will hand over their jets to Ukraine and they will get replacements from the West.

This war is just going to be protracted and Putin will leave with a bloody nose and a junk economy to return to.
