Many people will think the Iweala mentioned here is the former finance minister, this is not the same person, someone was trying to be clever with the thread's title.

This movie is being made by Netflix, the Internet streaming giant, so technically it's not really a Hollywood movie as its not from any of the traditional movie studios. Then again we tend to refer any movie made in the US as Hollywood so no qualms there.

In all, it's great that another Nigerian work is getting positive international attention. Good one Uzodinma Iweala.

I've noticed that the word hypergamy has been cropping up a lot here on NL. Female hypergamy isn't just entirely about women marrying older men but refers to the much broader concept of the dualistic nature of the female sexual strategy. That is, the womans attempts in satisfying her need for attracting the most genetically endowed mates for immediate gratification against the need for securing one who can provide for her and her offsprings in the long term.

Ain't nothing wrong with looking, in fact when properly done, it can be used to maintain sexual tension in a relationship which is a good thing. It signals to ones partner that one is still very much a man with testosterone coursing through his veins, and by noticing other attractive women the pressure falls on the wife to up her 'game' to maintain her husband's attention. But of course many a woman do not like the idea that they have to constantly work to maintain their husbands sexual interest - they prefer the idea that he is locked and sealed for them - so they fall back on shaming and condemnation of this behaviour.

It is only the tactful man aware of the dynamics of female psychology that can exploit this act to his benefit.

In this era of claims and counter claims in the media it is understandable why PassingShot's remark about people holding to a particular version of a story was made but if as you say Buhari did indeed specifically mention two months then PS' defence is invalid.

I listened to Buhari's interview where he promised to end Boko Haram in "few months", not the "two months" being peddled around by PDP and their failed supporters. APC/PMB even attempted to correct the wicked lie but haters will have none of that as they prefer to hold on to that which suit their purpose.

How many months do you think the phrase a "few months" refers to? 2? 3? 4? or 5?

It's true that many people are holding on to the 2 months range because it readily suits their purpose but it would be interesting to see where your own interpretation of that statement lies.

What is clear to me in all this is that Buhari unwisely put himself in a tight corner with that promise, just like the many others he made. It is almost certain now that Boko Haram will still be a menace for many months to come. The promises and comments he made during the campaigns indicate to me that he has a poor understanding of the issues that beface this country and that leads me to doubt the efficacy of the solutions he proposes for them.

How about you just use itunes to manage your songs?? I know i know, its bloated but it does get the job done you know...

I had been on iTunes for many years now but when I switched to Win 8.1 last year I decided to try something different so I went with the prepackaged Xbox Music. It is bloated yes, but it still suffers from the inability to fully exhaust my library when set to random play.

I really hope the problems I listed earlier are fixed on windows 10, they could be really annoying. It's a shame if that tagging issuing still persists.

I'm stoked for the Windows 10 release on the 29th but there is something I'd like to know; how does the music player application handle?

I ask because I found Xbox music on windows 8.1 to be less than satisfactory, many times it would freeze or crash in the middle of a song. There were also instances were I found some of my audio files (and accompanying music art) wrongly tagged. Then there was the random selection option, oh gosh, in my modest library of about 3000 songs it seemed to play only from a small range of songs - it was anything but random!

All of these issues persist even after several software updates, so I'm hoping MS gets it right on this iteration of windows. This was one small area that spoilt my otherwise enjoyable experience on Windows 8.1.

To think that someone thought it fitting to spend money in erecting a billboard for this is an indication of the low people will stoop just to score political points.

This is actually embarrassing. So a photo op with Obama is cause for this type of celebration?
