I am from Kogi but my dad started his politics in the Benue assembly in 1979.

Truth is that Akume remains the most influential force in Benue politics today. Suswam’s resistance of Ortom and the non-payment of salaries will make the Ortom and Gemade front a beatable one.

It is obvious many on here are ignorant,so let me educate a little.

What happened in Benue is George Akume removing the Speaker to prepare the way for possible impeachment of Ortom.

you try with this analysis but you overrated PDP in some States .especially in river state and bayelsa even in Delta state. If you go those states you will know APC get ground everyday for example 3of bayelsa governor abdicated from their position and they moved to APC . river state is one of the state that APC will take from PDP in 2019 the presence of rotimi ameach ,and the two senators they have upper hand .buhari will have his way in cross-river and embonyi I doubt ABia state because of KANU .

His analysis is quite on point except that APC will likely win in Benue,Bayelsa,Rivers and likely have some governors in Anambra,Ebonyi,Cross River and Akwa Ibom working aggressively for Buhari’s reelection bid.


Yes,he exaggerated the strength of PDP in some states.

Governorship aspiration is within his rights. Yet this guy is trying too hard to be what he is not.

I watched him at the last APC convention and his activities on social media struggling to caption occasional meetings with APC stalwarts as endorsements and support of his governorship. That is quite dubious.


Also,where did he get a PhD or a honorary doctorate from to constantly address himself as ‘Dr’?

I see him going nowhere with the governorship bid. Rather, if I can advice him,I will urge him to run for the House of Reps.

This,more than anything else,was central to his fight with Akume who helped him become governor.

Remember how Mbadinuju ended up after his fight with Emeka Offor and his decamping to AD in Anambra?

Remember how Mala Kachallah of Borno state ended his political career with his fight with Sheriff and eventual move to AD?


State-wide political structures take time to build. No matter how popular a candidate is,without one or the benefit of one,he can’t win the governorship.

Why didn’t Fayose pick Adeyeye who has a political base,face and networks to fight a Fayemi better?

No PDP candidate can compete with Buhari in the north-NW,NE and large parts of the NC. Yes while Ortom May move in Benue,the state structure is controlled by a happy Akume who is determined to stay and impose Jime as successor to Ortom.

Saraki May go,but there PDP governorship candidate in 2015 and many key PDP leaders are being lured to join forces with Lai and others to fight him in Kwara. He may fall out with the governor whose senatorial ambition he doesn’t want to support.

In Kogi State,Bello is sure of block votes from an angry Ebira who is determined to keep the governorship A.T Ahmed died fighting to get them.

Bello’s plan to present Smart Adeyemi as Kogi West senate candidate will fetch them some decent votes too.

Igala people may rebel against Buhari because of Bello’s poor governance but Buhari will get votes from the APC strategy of picking popular Igala sons for senate and all-Jibrin Isah Echocho.

There is Nassarawa,Niger,Plateau, Abuja.

So North Central May still largely go for Buhari.

PDP is playing very bad politics as Ekiti shows.

You are being mischievous. Fayose governed poorly,refused to pay salaries for almost a year. Pushed all PDP leaders out with his dominance and personalisation of state politics and PDP. These were central to their loss.

Political realities in states largely determine national outcomes. The way grassroots politics work is that the perception of national leadership hinges heavily on the performance and influence of state and local political leaders.

An elementary example will be that Wike’s hold on Rivers state and resources is central to his control of the party nationally.

Of course,remember that the criticisms of Buhari are not shared in the North East and North West where vast resources,endless patronages and appointments are concentrated. By the way,this is his traditional base since he joined politics in 2002.

Also,the PDP foolishly excluded its forces in the South West by refusing to give them the chairmanship slot on the advice of this same Fayose.

In another 2-3 months, Fayose like Mimiko will be faded from PDP. The power brokers would have forgotten him.He will be on exile, if not in a jailhouse.

This imminent victory of Fayemi will alter the decamping plans of Saraki and others who now know that PDP’s loss removes some vital regional foothold,senate and National Assembly seats.

Except Buhari dies,his large victory margin in 2019 will embarrass his supporters.�

I wonder who will control party structure between Wike, Atiku, Saraki and Kwankwaso. You have too many power drunk guys in PDP. The party will likely face it's own internal crisis, which may whittle it's electoral chances.

You are smart. Their crisis will be the major obstacle to making any impact in the elections. No chance for them in the presidential anyway.

1.Brush morning and before bed at night.
2.Use dental floss once or two times after meals daily.
3. Get a Thera Rinse or Listerin mouthwash that is alcohol-free.

If you can’t get 1-3, then 1 and 3. Otherwise,do 1 and use a spoon to scrape your tongue once or two times daily.

Jaundiced and quite pedestrian. Neither Buhari nor GEJ is a symbol of serious and visionary leadership.

GEJ failed woefully and made Buhari a choice. Like I said, Buhari should be retired as he doesn't have all it takes to lead a modern state. Yet I will pick him over GEJ or any other unserious and visionless candidate like Atiku.
