Delta’s Guber polls are decided at the PDP primaries. Anyone else running is wasting his/her time. And the power rotation across the different ethnic groups largely works. 2023 would be one to watch. David Edevbie is the favourite for the PDP ticket and it’s Urhobo’s turn. But Ijaws could make a play for it with Sen James Manager. They, together with the Delta Igbos (Anioma) have been the strength of the party and can make a good claim for getting it as against Delta Central that has always voted for Ogboru from his DPP and LP days to APC now.

Finally, somebody that understands delta politics.

Like I said earlier, Okowa will return as Governor of Delta state and Ogboru can’t do anything about it.

APC wants to turn Nigeria into a one party state...

The ijaws won't produce any governor in Delta state in the nearest future, after the Urhobos, the next tribe to produce the next governor will be the isokos.

Also tompolo is no longer as influential as he use to be. GEJ is no longer in ABUJA

Mike Igini should also be redeployed in the interest of ensuring credible elections in Akwa Ibom State. A partisan REC is inimical to credible elections in any state.
