It's normal as you can see in every banking hall the obligation of each bank to report transactions in excess of $10000 or more to financial authority. What is not normal is when they are doing that without communicating to you to provide the proof of what the money is meant for. I sent like that to a friend last year about $12k and GTBank held it for days before calling him to prove the essence of the fund. Then they applied it to his account.

Surely, Know Your Customer (KYC) policy of address verification exercise will hold you as you will not have the recent utility bill to present nor the house address to visit you. But then, I think some banks like GTBank have a kind of account targeted at Nigerians in diaspora or else, ask your family or friend to open for you.

They can do wire transfer to your account but it will be applied at your bank's exchange rate, which may not be favorable. Alternatively, ask them to send you check and clear it through your bank but still at their same exchange rate.

I think it's only that refund process they support since it will take the same route they used in refunding you when you first activated your linked bank card to the PayPal account.

Exchange rate of currencies (like dollar, euro) or of ecurrencies (like PayPal, PerfectMoney )? Note that they are not the same but you can check up exchangers' websites like nigeriagoldexchange.com or standardgoldng.com and so on.

This service by GTBank is not the first after all because Stanbic, First Bank, Quickteller, Pocketmoni, etc, are doing same. I have been using Pocketmoni option since 2012 and Quickteller since 2013 but they require your secret PIN instead of ATM card 4 digits that GTB wants to rely on. May be that's the reason they reduced the amount to N30k per day unlike Quickteller and Pocketmoni where I have done like N1m at a go before
