Croatia exit was very much more significant.
Either way,, doesn't matter who first left.
What matters is that once one left, the rest couldn't envisage Co existing with Serbs anymore .

Substitute Serbs with Hausa-Fulani, and you will see where Nigeria will head to post Biafra.

In fact, the greatest fear of Biafran exit for the Caliphate and her defenders, is not actually Biafra exit, but the chain reactions such exit will trigger down south, and the big sacrifice( Total resource control and autonomy) they would have to sacrifice to stop the cascade.
Get your Biafra first before postulating about things you ain't sure about.

You are the one who needs to read.
The Exit of Croatia made Yugoslavia unstable and the rest were all rushing on their way out of the grip of the greedy Serbians.
That Those Minorities don't want Biafra does not mean they want to remain with Arewa-Odua. grin

They crave for total independence themselves and would not entertain union with you post Biafra, unless you are guaranteeing total resource control and autonomy for them, which would ruin the whole sweetness of one Nigeria for you now, wouldn't it? grin

Good luck getting them turn their region to theatre of war with independent Biafra, so that your hateful economic strangulation of Biafra will stand, while you enjoy peace in Lagos and Abuja.
You must think they are dimwitted, no? huh
Slovenia left first after a war in 1990 before Croatia.

You're still fixated on the SS minorities going their way even after not joining your Biafra, why not wait till then and stop banking your luck on something you ain't sure of for now.

Either way, like I said in the past, there will be no Nigeria as presently constituted post Biafra.

Biafra exit from Nigeria will be akin to Croatia exit from Yugoslavia. It will lead to a chain of reactions that will result in emergence of independent Ijaw, Urhobo, Akwacross Republics down south.

This is because the exit of Igbo from Nigeria will so tip the religious dynamics of Nigeria to 80-30 in favour of Muslims. It will also mean that Muslim Yorubas and North will rule Nigeria forever. It will unbalance the political demographic of Nigeria.

The only way Minorities will accept to stay with Yorubas and North in Nigeria post Biafra will be if Nigeria grants them resource control and
great deal of autonomy.
Such an autonomous SS will not be controlled by hateful beings from Lagos and Abuja. They would also seek to break the Lagos-Ibadan economic (Port) monopoly on Nigeria, they will know that cooperation with business minded Biafrans will be helpful in that regard.

But we know that a Nigeria with resource control for minorities is a useless one for Arewa-Odua, so my take is that they will not be much interested in such arrangement, making the earlier Yugoslavia like fission reactions I spoke of, the most likely scenario post Biafra seccession.
Go read about old Yugoslavia, USSR and Czechoslovakia and their agreements on separation. Continue hoping on others leaving Nigeria because you want to leave.

Any one thinking that Independent SE will accept Nigeria preventing her from having sea access in peace must be joking.

Biafra will only slowly stock up her military and fight her way to the sea coast, if Nigeria makes peaceful negotiations impossible.
Nigeria isn't the one to make negotiations, Biafra would.

The coast is owned by Nigeria, if you want war with no negotiations to use Nigerian waters, Nigeria gives it to you just like in 1967 and stock up enough weapons and food without making Ojukwu's mistake.

People like you are just plane ignorant. So ignorant that you dont even know that the international laws that gives Nigeria control of its water ways will also give Biafra control of it's own. It's not about being landlocked, it's about if you have access to the Sea via water channels.

I even used the example of London, a landlocked city, but it controls much of British shipping through the use of the River Thames and the River Lea.

Naturally, if there is Biafra, the use of the water ways will be discussed, however, it will never be the exclusive preserve of Nigeria to decide
Emphasis on your last paragraph,
You now agree that the use of water would be discussed, I thought you were saying earlier that it was Biafra's exclusive right irrespective of what Nigeria says.

FYI, Nigeria has exclusive right to 12 nautical miles to the Nigerian coast, see the map below.

How would Biafra navigate through that distance within Nigerian territorial waters waters without an agreement with the owner?

You are just fixated with waterways but what about the access to the ocean, you may navigate the whole of riversAzumiri, Niger etc to get to the sea but can you make use of it is the question.

The same way your ministers and officials were in Ghana begging and crying when shops belonging to nigerian traders were shut. Even on nairaland, it was a huge matter. For days, you Nigerians were talking about it.

Or you have forgotten how your foreign minister one Onyema or whatever shitty name, was in Accr@, begging for Ghana to open nigerian shops? They will soon be here again because starting from tomorrow, GUTA is closing shops of all Nigerians in Ghana grin I guess this time your president will come himself to beg angry
Close those shops, stop your police from reopening them and tell your ministers from cautioning your GUTA or GUTTER.
You closed down the shops and the Nigerian economy wasn't dented but just an ordinary border closure and your economy is taking a beating.
That's why your ministers have made Abuja your adopted nation's capital now.

Ghana - Nigeria custom to hold joint meeting

""The meeting is expected to help the two countries set out modalities on how Ghanaian traders may easily cross the Nigerian-Benin border with their goods.

According to the Deputy Minister-in-charge of Trade and Industry, Mr Carlos Kingsley Ahenkorah, an announcement will be made after the meeting on Monday to that effect.

The Deputy Minister was hopeful the meeting would yield positive results considering the outcomes of all the meetings held between the two countries.

The Deputy Minister stated that following meetings with the Commissioner of Customs and the Minister of Foreign affairs of Nigeria last Wednesday, a Ghana Export Promotion Authority (GEPA) truck which was conveying products from Ghana to Nigeria for an exhibition was allowed into that country after several days of staying behind the Nigerian border.

This, the Minister said was a good sign and he was very optimistic the meeting on Monday would yield the needed results.

Speaking on Citi TV‘s The Big Issue, the Deputy Minister said the modalities would make it easier for both Ghanaian and Nigerian trucks to cross the border and improve transparency for Nigerian authorities.

According to him, the two sovereign states are hoping to among other things arrive at a decision that would make authorities know the quantity and type of products en route to each other’s country before the goods arrive.

“When we got to the commissioner of customs, the customs people who went with us also had a very hearty discussion with him and they were all on one side saying that it is important that they have a customs to customs cooperation where they will exchange information even about goods that are about leaving Ghana to Nigeria, so they can do same for us. That way they know what is coming into their country”.

“You heard me say that we are going to create a special window for these Ghana trucks to be able to move in, and the Foreign affairs Minister of Nigeria promised to do this with Ghana and to have that exchange. So the Commissioner of Customs for Ghana and that of Nigeria are supposed to sit down and come up with modalities on Monday."

"He went further to promise that on Monday we are having a crunch meeting and after that meeting, they are going to come out with a brilliant announcement and so we should all open our ears,” Mr Ahenkorah added.

Background

Nigeria closed its frontiers in what it says is to stop the smuggling of products from its neighbouring West African countries into Nigeria.

The action taken by Nigeria was to express its displeasure at the attitude of the Beninese authorities in order to elicit their cooperation.

The closure of the borders which started in August 2019 was expected to be in force for twenty-eight (28) days, however, it looks like the issues remain unresolved thus the continuous closure.

Many trucks have been stranded at the Seme border for several weeks now"".
Your bolded said goods going for exhibition and not for the markets, does that sound like a trade corridor that your president and ministers have been crying and begging for?

To imagine that customs went to town celebrating that they made 3 billion daily by shutting the border. Why not get smart scanners and search for arms and rice instead of shutting down the whole economy of West Africa?

This crude approach have no place in a modern society. This is counter productive both in the short, medium and long terms.
We now have scanners at our ports, we had to shut down their economies because they were proving stubborn.
Stick to ECOWAS protocols on trade and those stubborn leeches refused, what else do you want us to do again, must it continue?
