More bears are coming huh
If you like, you can join them in taking position, but I will never advice anyone interested in NSE to take position in the remaining part of this year.
h

who knows what impact the decision of govt to get their money back from the banks will have on the banking stocks, so taking position now is scary.

Maybe they’re hoping it will go back to 300 grin grin
What people don't know is that, the share price was pumped then for otedola to sell 50% of his holding and the transaction of that day fected him over 30billn. I told my friend then that the fundamental of the company does not even worth #100 let alone 300. After the sale, the shares started dropping so bye to #300

Economy shaking mad!

Guess it's time to pull out from mutual fund and position for next T-bills offer, right?
Boss, sometimes this election madness is good oo cos it always the period of wealth transfer from the rich to the poor. Godlylifeoneart:
I woke up early today, reflecting on our once beloved nation, the book writers giant of Africa in corruption, mismanagement, favoritism and nepotism, the new capital of poverty in the world home to many corrupt multi billionaires in $
A nation that does not protect minority investors,
A country where your losses at the capital market is meaningless to the government.
Can we ever get it right again in this country?
A nation where budgeting does not means execution or completion,A nation where pronunciation is not an action, A nation where optimists are actually pessimists in reality.
Suddenly, Nigeria overthrew Indian as the headquarter of poverty in the world under the lifeless president (Trump analogy)
What would happen should Buhari rules for another 4 yrs? The bubble will burst, our investment will go down the drain of history.
What will happen should pdp take over the governance of Nigeria... Your guess is as good as mine... Back to square zero.
We do not deserve the Atiku the kwankwaso, the tambuwa, the Saraki of this world.
What many analysts do not understand is that it is not just the bear that is wiping away our investment in NSE, the danger we do not see has been sighted by the foreign raiders (investors)
If GT bank one the best manage institution in the world is being exited at the speed of light by foreign raiders then there is a hand writing on the wall which many minority investors have failed to acknowledged.
GT bank is an anti bear, GT bank symbolizes the hope of NSE, once foreign raiders interest declined in GT then we are all in trouble.
My view to right the hardship being faced by minority investors is for us to call on the insensitive politicians that are ruining Nigeria to pass a bill or an executive order for an establishment of portfolio protection insurance at a reasonable price.... Maybe 0.005% per portfolio, reduction of brokerage fee from 1.35% to 0.5%
The brokers in Nigeria do nothing and earn like Agbalowomeri... In order word they are gold diggers.
May God rescue us from the fear of the unknown. Amen
BOSS, why agreeing with some points here I will also disagree Wit u on many. Let the best person rule Nigeria it does not mean investors will not loose money as long as foreigners are participants in the game on our NSE. Please don't expect that any one will make laws that will protect investors cos doing that may also protect foreign investors who quickly make money and leave. After the experience of 2008, I have to read about these foreign investors called Asian tigers in those books and also studied their strategies. They do pump and dump most of the time and this they do gradually in most cases leaving we the local ones to bear the loss for them. The best bet is to invest like them, know the time they come in and know the time they begin to exit the market gradually. Majority of us does not do this and they immediately dump on us and find their ways leaving us to bemoan our losses. For me have learnt in a hard way and told myself never to loose money again. Am not a tech analysis person I belong to the sch. Of fundamentalist and once I exit a stock, I don't look back again. With my little experience on NSE, there is no good stock that can't crash/rise when Asian tigers put their hands. So don't blame government for anything look for strategy that make u win all the time.

A very Good afternoon to Everyone in the house. I would like to commend every contributor on this forum. Amazing work you are all doing. I've been following this thread since 2005 (perhaps even earlier sef not sure now) but from the days of Dexter, CP, Mercylicious, BigAss, MyJoy etc and have gathered tremendous amount of knowledge; so much that if I had to pay for I wouldn't be able to afford. Many Thanks again. God bless your generous hearts.

I have immense respect for fxuser, OGG, wanajo, oga Emma and CP - Such invaluable assets you are. Hyness and parisfran are also such commendable women.

@ DeRuggedProf pls are you Dexter? If you're not you sure do sound like him

Also pls what's your advice on FO. Bought at 57 or thereabout; selling now is just real gbese. I'm trying not to frek out but mhen!
Advice from anyone pls.
Many thanks in advance
It may sound funny but as far as am concerned, otedola has removed his hands from that company not until another investor pump in money, I can see the share in the region of 10- 16 it was before. I predicted this to my friend when he sold 15% of his holdings though I was able to jaaa at 42 no loss though. So my brother the choice is yours. The following points must be in your mind:
the company that has its revenue from power and suddenly wants to sell off all the sub
What will happen to them if all the sub are sold off and nothing again to give them revenue aside regulated down stream?
If am in your shoe, I will bail out for now and re enter lower

Let Bubu first resign since he is yet to show us his waec certificate that qualifies him to contest. I think saraki has already been cleared by the Supreme court of any such allegation and is thus within his rights to contest. It is now up to Nigerians to vote for or against him. It would be wrong to give bubu the presidency come 2019 without any contest.
Bubu's effect on the value of naira since 2015 and his many unnecessary battles with saraki and the opposition has affected NSE in a very negative way.
