"With the war ended, and as a Commissioner in Rivers State, I soon found that the Rivers State for which I had fought did not end my nightmare. In the first place, oil money from Ogoni country (as well as Ijaw country) was being carted away to Lagos, leaving the Ogoni illiterate and backward. This is anti-federalism". Is this the kind of game you plan using again, this time around, creating a villain out of the Ijaws like you did with Ndiigbo, pretending to care about their minority neighbors like Ogoni and Akwa Ibom. And then cart away with the crude oil proceeds to Lagos and Abuja, the moment they( Niger Delta minorities) help you cage the Ijaws, leaving the minorities wondering what just happened like Saro wiwa was wondering above? ![]() |
omonnakoda:You are delusional. It wasn't Ndiigbo that the Avengers are pointing accusing fingers at, infact one of their demands is that Nnamdi be released , so I wonder who is attaching to who?The Avengers are beaming their searchlight on the North and their Yoruba side kicks that have looted their region and used the proceed thereof to build up Abuja and Lagos and rightly so. You are the one who is yet to get over Biafra, by expecting you will get full world power support to blockade Ijaws and turn the rest of their neighbors against them, by painting them black and pretending to care about their neighbors, when infact you have a parasitic agenda to continue exploiting both the Ijaws and their neighbors alike. That was the same game you played in Biafra against Ndiigbo. You need to get over Biafra, times have changed, likewise the players and the dynamics. Applying yesterday success methods to today's challenges was why Napoleon disgraced German warlords. This is the best time to be Igbo. ![]() |
Buhari needs to go hard on Niger Delta, but as usual, Weak Nigeria needs the support of the western super powers, and they are willing to let Buhari and Nigeria drown in the sea of the Avengers, if Buhari doesn't accept their devaluation ideas. This is the height of desperation from Buhari, expect him to take his pound on flesh on Niger Delta. When he was saying that he was willing to drown the whole country than let the East be free, this is exactly what he meant. |
Finally the Niger Delta is not Ijaw and Ijaw is not the Niger Delta. Let us play back to GEJ's government.Where were the Ogonis.the Efiks and so on. Lol! |
omonnakoda:You are already hoping to play your divide and conquer games, I can already see you isolating Ijaw from the rest of SS and pretending to love Akwa Ibom, Cross riverians and Ogoni people. You think k yourself wise, yet the folly of your plans is laid bare for all to see. If you think any group in SS is going to fall for your divide and conquer tactics, then you must be naive. Nigeria won't get any foreign super support like in the past because of alot of factors, but I'd rather let you live in your fantasy world. |
omonnakoda:I bet the Serbs of defunct Yugoslavia thought same way too, but look at what happened. Stop kidding yourself, Nigeria is not Israel, she can't manufacture weapons, and just like the Serbs can't suppress the SE or SS without foreign powers un restricted supply of weapons. Nigeria( read Yoruba and North) will be dismantled in a week by SE and SS, if she fails to get foreign powers to supply her weapons. You don't have the powers you wish you have . |
The SE is largely very capitalistic and thrive in a survival of the fittest environment, while the SW and the north are largely socialistic and unfortunately have created such culture in Nigeria through the backward quota system. This country is not suitable for the igbo nation regardless of whatever peanuts they get already. This is gold. |
That placard will explain why the above happened right after the civil war. ![]() Yet some cholesterolphilic people wonder why the Niger Delta Avengers are not just pouring their anger towards North, but towards them too, with Lagos a prime target. ![]() |
Can someone get us that Bishopmagic thread with pictures of Yoruba protesters in Lagos in 1968, with placards that read: " France leave our oil for us". ![]() https://www.nairaland.com/1352306/fought-oil-not-nigerias-unity |
NewNigeriaMind:Ignoramus! I guess that will explain why non of your dirty "towns" made this list: https://www.nairaland.com/2031155/enugu-makes-history-joins-worlds |
hensben:Another Yoruba sentimental being. One minute, Igbos are accused of being too tribal and only care about their follow Igbos or perceived friends, and the next, they a're accused of being unable to bridge divides and form a common front. The truth is that Yorubas are obsessed with Ndiigbo, the exact reason they seldom sound rational whenever a matter have to do with Igbos. |
Eagul:Ignoramus. A region's living standard is best measured using the level of attainment of the millennia development goals( MDGs) by the region. Well, here is a RELIABLE report on the attainment of MDGs by Nigeria regions.: : https://www.nairaland.com/2263635/south-east-south-west-south-south-lead-attainment Cure your ignorance. |
“It is difficult to get accurate measurements in Africa. You can get super-high readings, but ideally the measurements should be done over a year to include different seasons and times of day. The reading in Onitsha may be representative but not altogether reliable,” said a WHO spokeswoman. Unreliable report only fit for trash. Little wonder trashy people from SW are swimming on the trashy unreliable report. |
but it does show that we are very different people. Thread closed! |
The. "Oyo ile" question makes do much sense. Nice write up, OP. |

The strategy is simple. 1 Create artificial fuel scarcity. 2, make people beg to even see any petrol to buy, let them pass through hell just to access the petrol. 3, Make them buy the petrol at price higher than the price you intend to fix the price, after they must have stayed in queues all day. 4. When they are familiar with buying at exorbitant prices after much queue, remove the artificial scarcity and the attendant queue, and watch them buy the product at an exorbitant price( albeit less exorbitant than they bought during your artificially created scarcity, but nevertheless exorbitant), and still be grateful that they no longer have to queue to buy the product. 5. You have finally succeeded in achieving your goal of increasing petrol price without eliciting public uproar. Buhari might be clueless, but he has first class cunning and devious advisers. |
Igboland is now full of Igbo beggars. Go to any motor park in Igboland and see them in their droves. Able bodied and mildly disfigured ones abound in thousands. This is the after effect of the Igbos continued association with Nigerians ( Read the north and SW), our people are now importing alien ways of lives of Nigerians into Igboland, and are even about outdoing Nigerians in begging business these days. Igboland has been hit by an alien "begging culture" epidemic, something has to be done ASAP. |
“with the way Sahara is advancing, with Boko Haram, growing number of people and uncertainty over rainfall, in a land where we fought civil war leading to the death of about two million, it would be foolhardy for someone to just say he would chase us away”. Hmm, Odikwa serious. |
The use of Oba for King in Ogba is a post 1970 fabrication. The word for King in Ogba, Ikwerre and even Ekpeye, who are all said to be descendants of Akalaka, remain the Igbo word "Eze". What more? The name Akalaka itself is an Igbo name that means "Destiny", as the Palm creases which cannot be erased, so is Akalaka( Destiny), that's why Akalaka literally translates to "Palm creases" in Igbo language. ![]() |
D tin tire me ooooo! |
omonnakoda:Are you for real? You need help if you actually soberly typed the above. |
OkoNDOoBo:Yes, miracle centres that allowed states like Edo and even some northern states outperform Yoruba states. don't worry, you are still in the first stage of depression. ![]() |
: The most obvious consequence would be that Nigeria would automatically become a majority Islamic state. Spot on. The Muslim North will use the 60% Yoruba Muslims to good effect towards achieving the total islamization of the New country between the North and SW. ![]() |
osabuohein:As long as a plebiscite will be conducted in all Igbo speaking parts of Edo, Delta, Rivers,Akwa Ibom, Cross Rivers and Bayelsa to decide if they would prefer to stay with Niger Delta republic, or join the rest of the Igbos speaking people in SE. |
This Yorubaboy again? A grown man who keep calling himself a boy. |
omonnakoda:He wasn't lying, he just believed your FG sent the best as would have been done in sane climes, how could he have known that the selection process was probably influenced by ethnic and political factors? Yes JAMB and WAEC are not vetted by anyone, I mean to what's end? There is nothing to gain by doing so. |
omonnakoda:No, those exams ( WAEC, JAMB and Unity schools) are not politicized hence the Igbos dominance. Your exam list is politicized, as it had to be vetted by the FG. Now cry me a river. |
sirbruno:how is he a wrong husband? Are u perfect |
The only thing this politicized list proves is that Yorubas are really influential in this Buhari government, and that their support for Buhari is marginally paying off. Nothing more and nothing less. JAMB, WAEC and unity school, stats are non politicized stats and give a better picture of the real state of things. ![]() |
