Family / Re: Desperate Father Uses Daughter As A Collateral For N600,000 Loan (Pictured) by Aringon(m): 6:10pm On Dec 30, 2014
sunnyshayne:
As a father let me pretend as if what the man did was not morally challenging and bash the the money lender for having the mind to loan someone some money and collect his child as collateral. It was too harsh, I would rather not help the man!

Back to that man, I agree desperation can push a man to do the incomprehensible but don't he has relations, don't he belong to a religious group, don't he belong to an association, has he never had of NGOs who could help?

In his shoes I will explore these avenues and not rob peter to pay Paul.

Agreed desperation can lead a man to situation like this, it is a time like this you will know ur true friends and relatives.
Talking about religious bodies, it is now " every man for himself" churches are now selfish, if u r not rich forget it. Church members have cliques of rich members, it is saddening to say the least

Bro... I have 3 questions to ask you, 1 are you manufacturing for the masses or you want to manufacture for the Pros or for the both?

Talking about Camera:
Boosting high camera pixel size will not do you really good, your main focus should be Quality Lens from Sony and a very good tweaked Camera App to control your Camera Lens so as to get clean pictures (else you can still have a good Lens, high camera pixel size and still get a crappy pictures if you don't have a good Camera App)

Advice: You can port Sony Phones Camera App or Samsung Galaxy Camera App to work on your ROM.

Bros, I might not manufacture but when u go thru reviews on nairaland, u read lots of stuffs regarding what makes a quality fone. Especially when Tecno is mentioned and aside that, u see diff android fones brought into the country and methinks I shud find out those particular specs needed.
Nigeria should not be a dumping ground for all sort and knowing fully well that Samsung n other android manufacturers do not spend 25k to manufacture their phones yet they will sell it at outrageous prices becos of brand

If it's made in Nigeria for Nigerians, then i must say, it's a total failure cos of the battery ratings. With our shady power supply, Battery life should be the Phones strong & selling point.

So what is the battery ratings for any smartphones coming in to Nigeria considering the power wahala we are experiencing?
Politics / Youth Party Of Nigeria-ypn by Aringon(m): 4:45pm On Nov 28, 2014
I believe it is high time the youth of this country wake up from their slumber, team up together and form a new political party(Youth Party of Nigeria-YPN) to counter whatever the recycled old men are doing in this country. Old men r not ready to place this country in the comity of nations, they r selfish, wicked and overtly corrupt.

Religion / Re: Understanding The Concept of Tithing by Aringon(m): 10:41pm On Nov 02, 2014
christemmbassey:
you are lieing, tithes is not used for salaries, i played piano for churches for many yrs, i never collected 10naira, offerings(collections) at every church meetings is more than enough to pay pastors salaries asuming they are too lazy to work.

Bassey let me put it to u that, u do not say what u don't know. If u decide to play the piano without charges then good and well. There are so many pianoist, drummers, trumpeters are are being paid monthly. In my parish for example, the drummer and paionist are paid monthly salary, the church administrator is paid salary also. At every month, the parih renders the account and remit to the church HQTR the remaining which is used for the expansion of the church at the camp and for evangelism.
If u don't want to pay the tithe so be it n on judgement day, we will see who answer the questions as to y u refused to pay ur tithe
Religion / Re: Understanding The Concept of Tithing by Aringon(m): 8:36am On Nov 02, 2014
jdilight:

You did not read my post if not you will not ask the first question.

Abraham gave his increase (which was the spoil of war) as at the time he met the priest. God for bids war now so your increase from war now is against Gods principle.

Tithe has been in existence before the law, for the law came by Moses who came years after Abraham and Jacob who had already paid tithe.

Any christian that has benefitted immensely from God for paying his or her tithe will continue to pay tithe. Those that say the Pastors are stealing from christians shouls stay clear of paying it.
U r hanging on to the grace of God? Bible says " shall we continue in sin so that grace may abound?"
Tithe is use for the expansion of the work of God , paying salaries of Pastors, drummers, church administrators etc
Nobody is forcing u to pay tithe biko, when u pay ur tithe n turn around to seek what the money has been used for, my friend you won't benefit from that
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: "How Much Do We Pay You?" Interview Question by Aringon(m): 1:54pm On Oct 15, 2014
Stellaodoni1:
you are very wrong . Don't ever mention any amount. And yes you know your worth , but you might also choose to consider a lesser amount since there are no jobs . They will never pay you lesser than others on thesame level with you since the company has a grading system . And yes be confident but don't you ever mention any amount. Direct the question back to them . Eg . How much do you pay masters degree holders here ? They will never answer that . It's 50/50 - you might mention higher or lesser . I wish to throw more light on this but tired much .

It is wrong not to mention an amountan interview requires that u get prepared by knowing little details abt the company n that included finding out from the staff how much members of staff r paid at BSC or Masters level. U don't thru the question back to me and expect me to clap hand for u. U don't know ur worth, don't give excuse of " no job" n u quote no amount

As we all know, today, Oct. 15, 2014 is a horn-free day in Lagos state. Am currently at ojuelegba, 4.am and I keep hearing the blast of horns as usual.

What's the situation like at your place;

Can we truly do without blastin our horns in Lagos?

I was in a bus sitting by the driver and asked him, if he can drive without using the horn and he said yes. Within 3 seconds, the man blasted the horn. It is possible to drive without hooting the horn IF and ONLY IF, the campaign will continue until it settles in the minds of our people

Religion / Re: How Can One Identify A True Born Again Christian? by Aringon(m): 2:33pm On Oct 12, 2014
lalasticlala:
With the way some self acclaimed born again Christians behave sometime, one may not easily differentiate between them and those that are not born again.

So many Christians have abused this born again thing so much. Almost everybody claims to be born again when asked. Some even use their mouth to tell you that they are born again.

I once trusted an associate pastor, a born again, before and helped him by lending him some money. He promised to pay within a month or so. I did that when the shop he & his wife manage got burnt. But he couldn't pay as he promised. It lingered up to 2 years. Each time I asked for my money, he would make promises which he never fulfilled. At a time, I started collecting things from his shop and he was subtracting the money, and he also paid in stipends until I got my money back without using it for tangible thing. Meanwhile, he had grown up children that are doing fine. Of course they use to send him money.

This is just one out of the several experiences I have had with some 'born again' Christians.

I have equally encountered two born again Christians that I believe were real. Their characters spoke for them.

So are you a born again Christian?

Can you boldly tell us that you are a born again Christian?

Does your life style portray you as a true born again Christan?

What Qualities should born again Christians exhibit?

So many questions that need answers.

Its wrong for any supposedly born again Christian to tell you s/he is a born Christian, by their fruits we shall know them. Their lives is the bible people shud read and not what s/he says.

However, since the heavenly race is on going, its the mercy of God that covers the weaknesses of such sister or brother, nobody is perfect. Help in praying for her/him cos its only our God that is good and perfect.

Its a race which each and everyone of us MUST win to receive a crown. The weaknesses you have seen shows you that, we are human being ok

God bless you, meanwhile assist in praying for them cos on judgement day, there will be lawyer to defend the culprit and DON'T allow what you see to deceive you not to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and personal saviour, experience it yourself and you will be thankful to God for doing this

Noted. I Try This Out!

If you say such, I won't contact you again.

See the reason for that question is to know how much you are worth.
Be confident while responding to this question, looking at the interviewer eye to eye and mention a particular amount.
If you don't know how much you are worth, why should I bother myself employing somebody who doesn't know his/her worth

Adverts / Alibaba CEO Jack Ma To Visit Nigeria by Aringon(m): 6:41pm On Sep 23, 2014
Jack Ma, China’s richest man and CEO of Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba Group is ready and willing to visit Nigeria. Aliababa which recently issued an IPO that raised a record US$25 billion in what is widely considered to be the largest IPO in history. Ma’s personal net worth jumped to US$25 billion from US$21.8 billion after the NYSE IPO valued Alibaba at US$231 billion.

Ma made the comments while speaking on a panel with Nigeria’s Minister of Finance and the Coordinating Minister for the Economy Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Chelsea Clinton, the CEO of General Motors Mary Barra, and the president of the Ford Foundation Darren Walker at the Clinton Global Initiative.

After Dr. Okonjo-Iweala asked him for advice on how to get Nigeria’s young and Internet savvy generation the help they need to make an impact in the country, Ma responded “I’m so excited by Nigeria, so many young people using mobile.” He stated that increasing interest of young people across the world in mobile technologies will be the source of great change.

Ma also advocated a shift from what he called IT technology to DT or Data technology. Ma said, “IT Technology is for me myself. I can manage my company better. DT Technology which I call data technology is to make other people better. The future is making other people better, then you can be successful.”

Ma stressed that Nigeria should help young people improve access to mobile technology and increase their access to information and new experiences through the internet.

“I’m so excited. I will go to Nigeria soon,” Ma said.

It is high time u accept Jesus Christ as ur Lord and personal saviour who will destroy every attack of the devil in ur life.
Bible says" ur body is the temple of God where the Holy Spirit dwells"
U don't own that body, it was given to u. Bible also says " if the body is exposed to sin, the serpent will bite"
Thank God u know Jesus Christ can save u, He loves u so much.
padeolu: I had a nightmare last night.. it was so different from my previous ones... Its more of an alien visitation or witch/demon attack...Thank God I overcame the encounter with just minor stings

Last night before I slept, there was no light in my area and I knew the possibility of Phcn restoring power was slim and it was so hot that I had to sleep naked (well, almost naked coz I had my pant on). My room sliding window/louvers were opened, so also is the door to my room and my room's restroom and its small window.

I thought of mosquitoes coming in to make the night a horrible one, but the thought cleared off upon realizing I'd be swimming in my sweat till dawn, and who knows, sleep may not come. I madeup my mind to live with the mosquitoes bites, moreso am used to it. I removed my mosquitoe net coz every little breeze that touches my body counts.

At around 1:20am, I fell asleep, it was a deep sleep, I guess I enjoyed the first part of the sleep before alien came to attack. I had a dream, I saw myself in my restroom masturbating as I used to, with my phone on my hand playing a porn video from **censored** (am sure dem G's know that site). While at it, I heard a knock on my door, I quickly rushed my masttting process to make d deal come out, I was wrong, instead of releasing, my dick cut into my hands.. I was so scared that I woke up in the process. I prayed and slept again.

The second phase is where it all happened, I guess this happened around 3am or so. Am not so sure of the time coz their wasn't light and I hate leaving my bed at midnights. Ok, during the second phase of the sleep, I guess I wasn't deep asleep this time around when I noticed a big hand all over my body, pressing me to bed, I couldn't shout, I was so helpless, words weren't coming out of my mouth, I made several attempts to scream, maybe my parents or siblings would hear... But no, I was voiceless. It was so dark that I couldn't see the face of the alien/witch pressing me to the bed. Then I remembered my pastors preaching (I hardly go to church tho) where he sometimes said "when in the day of adversity and trouble.....*or something like that*. So Psalm 91 came to my mind, I couldn't scream it out, coz I was voiceless, so resited the psalm several times, then I noticed instead of being pressed to the bed, I started noticing some sort of bee or needle-like sting all over my body, it was so painful that I started weeping, still voiceless, but tears were rolling down my face. I was very scared and suddenly I was able to talk, instead of calling for help, I SCREAMED BLOOD OF JESUS. From their I noticed the hands stop pressing me to the bed, and the needle-like object stopped pinching me, even though the pain was much.

So, I swiftly took a land lying next to me on bed just to see the face of the big hand pressing me to the bed. Upon switching the lamp on, I saw nothing, so I turned my body to face the other side of the wall, lo and behold, I saw a shadow running on the wall, I guess it was finding its way out, the shadow has a big head, with a very long hand, but short legs. Upon seeing that, I was so scared, I started shivering, and then covered myself with my duvet. After few minutes, some courage came, I stoodup from my bed, holding the lamp on one hand and my bible on the other hand. But it was too late the demon/alien/witch is gone.

My fellow NL'ers, help me thank the Lord, I overcame the horrific mare. I guess I've learnt my lessons. I took too much hot legend (dark ale) before I went to bed and I forgot to make myself holy by licking anointing oil. Any ways, thank you all for reading. Good morning to you all

Business / Re: Eko Gas Scheme: Lagos Tasks Residents On Use Of Cooking Gas by Aringon(m): 4:16pm On Aug 26, 2014
What govt and NNPC need to do is campaign to enlighten the citizens on the benefits of using gas to cook. Is it not shameful for Ghana and Senegal to consume cooking gas more than Nigeria. Taxis in Ghana are using gas to drive but oh dear, the old men (Taxi Drivers) won't touch it with a long pole.
Nigeria needs more LPG Refilling plants, we need more depots, we need more resellers of cooking gas.
We have about 175 plants, wwhich is not enough, atleast 300-350 filling plants will be better, over 200 resellers r needed to make gas readily available.
These filling plants have to devote their time for cooking gas only and not to be distracted with petrodollars like Oando and Conoil. They have to be solely cooking gas business coming up with strategies to making consumers to buy gas in their convenient and safe manner.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can you assure me that it will not scratch my car?

The product cannot scratch. When the product is sprayed onto the bodywork, it lifts dust and grit particles down to a size smaller than visible to the human eye, each particle is enveloped in polish. When dry, you wipe the car, every dust particle is forced onto the cleaning cloth and your wiping action puts polish, and only polish onto the bodywork

Can I only use it on my Car?

Applications where fresh water is at a premium, such as onboard a yacht, or at a caravan park, will be ideally served by our system. As will motorcycles (motor bikes), the compound will NOT sit in trapped recesses, and turn highly polished engine casings and their various nuts and bolts rusty..

Can it be used on alloys?
Yes. Our system is non-acidic, so even if you miss wiping off a bit of consumable there is no damage to the alloys.

Can I use it safely on my caravan's acrylic/Perspex windows?

Yes, it can safely be used on acrylic/Perspex windows.

What effect will it have on the windscreen?

The system cleans windows brilliantly.

How many washes can I get from a litre?

Car washes per litre - 10 on average sized vehicle. You will tend to use too much first time, which is just human nature. After you see the results you will use less next time, and it will prove very economical.

Will it damage the paint work?

Our product washes AND polishes every time you use it. Lets be honest, few of us polishes the car after every wash. But with our system you do every time you wash your car. The traditional bucket, sponge, and hosepipe will leave salt residues (from the washing liquid and minerals in the water) on the bodywork, whereas our system leaves a layer of protective polish, protecting the paintwork, not damaging it with salt and other additives.

My cars have wax polish on them. What effect does the product have on existing waxed surfaces?

Can be waxed over without any effect. This is what the professional valeters who use our product do. Our system is not a T cut so it does not cut and remove paint. It lifts of the dirt and polishes the surface off the car.

Does wax work effectively on top of your finish?

Yes, but not required. Our system leaves the surface polished. When you have finished, just pour some water over the bonnet afterwards and witness the droplets of water held by the polished surface.

How does it protect compared to wax?
The very best quality polishes/waxes will typically last an average of 8 days if the vehicle is used regularly, whereas the polish in our system will last an average of 20 days. However, you apply polish every time you wash with our system, as our cleaning product has a built-in polish. Everytime your vehicle is washed with our system, it is automatically polished.

What effect does it have on the environment compared to a traditional bucket and sponge?

This is when our system comes into its own. Simply, there is no wastage of water. No water is washed down the drains. When washing in the conventional way with soap there are surfactants in the soaps which are washed into the storm drainage system. Storm drain water is not cleaned in sewage plants it is fed into rivers, where they could cause damage to plants and river life.

Can I wash the cleaning cloths and use them again?
Yes - There is no waste with our system. Simply wash the cloths at up to 40°C. They come out looking brand new.

How do I get in the nooks and crannies?

We suggest that you spray our system on the cloth and rub the cloth on the part you wish to wash and polish.

Can it be used on glassfibre (GRP) bodywork?

Yes, it can be used on painted GRP.
