In a petition to the Area Commander, Area P Command, Alagbado, the victim said that after eating and drinking what Philip had offered her, she slept off and found herself on his bed completely naked after several hours of sleep. She said that she also noticed that her private was wet with sperm and she realised that Philip must have had rounds of sex with her. She then went to the bathroom, cleaned up and went home.

She said days after, Philip called only to inform her that he recorded her nude video including pictures and that she should starting paying him otherwise he will post it on the internet.

She narrated that she became jittery and contacted one Onoh who was Philip’s friend and they went together to Philip’s house to beg him. Philip then gave another condition that Onoh must have sex with her in his presence before he will listen to her and she agreed to ensure that the pictures were deleted.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered from the victim that while Onoh was having his own round of sex in the presence of Philip, it was also recorded which even worsened her situation. Both Philip and Onoh then started using the videos to extort money from her to the extent, they had already collected N60,000 from her, yet they did not delete the video as they had promised. She became frustrated and reported the matter to the police.

The police moved into action and arrested Onoh while Philip escaped and had gone into hiding.

The Onoh was arraigned before the court for conspiracy and sexual assault on the victim

He pleaded not guilty.

The prosecutor, Inspector Kenneth Asibor informed the court that Philip who was an accomplice to the crime was still at large and that the court should give bail condition to enable the defendant to come for trial.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mrs. J.O.E. Adeyemi Ajayi granted Onoh bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.
The court also ordered that one of the sureties must be a land owner and must show documents to that effect.
He was remanded in prison custody pending when he will perfect his bail condition.

We are fast going back to those days when we slept with one eye opened. Awka is no longer safe” he said.

The residents are however appealing to State government and the security agencies to intervene and ensure the security of lives and properties especially in the night around the state capital.

PoliticsLawmaker Loses Wife To Concoction by arinze198(op): 5:11am On Feb 16, 2018

According to reports, Binta, a mother of six, was said to have died just about seven days after being delivered of a set of twins.

It was gathered that Binta was the first wife of Yunusa Jikamshi, the lawmaker representing Musawa Constituency in the State House of Assembly. RomanceSex Workers Take Over Abandoned Houses In Abuja by arinze198(op): 12:31pm On Feb 14, 2018
Some residential buildings abandoned by their owners in high brow areas of Federal Capital Territory, Abuja have turned to some sort of blessing for commercial sex workers.

P.M.EXPRESS investigation revealed that the security men engaged by the owners of those houses to secure, had turned most to some sort of brothels for short time sex by the women of easy virtue and their clients.

Some areas where sex business was said to be booming were Wuse, Apo and around major hotels in other areas of the city.

According to residents, some of the buildings were abandoned by the owners for several years because prospective tenants could not afford to pay the unusually high rents for those houses. Thus, the owners left the houses in the care of security men to avoid them being vandalized by criminal elements.

It was also gathered that property agents had been unable to rent out the houses as tenants preferred to go to the affordable areas such as Nyanya, Jikwoyi and some areas in the outskirts of the city where it was easier to rent houses.

Some Abuja residents also had chosen to buy lands, develop them and become landlords themselves than rent houses that were said to be in the region of N700,000 and N1.5m annually.

It was also gathered that some of the owners of the abandoned houses were based abroad and the houses remained empty since they were unable to get tenants who could afford the prices. It has now turned to some sort of relief for security men who have turned the houses into avenues to make money.

When our correspondent visited some of the houses in the evening, there were noticeable presence of sex workers in front of the houses waiting for the prospective clients to come for short time services. Some were even seen coming out with their clients from those houses.

P.M.EXPRESS spoke to some of the sex workers and they confirmed that they were using those houses to ply their trade on short time basis. One of the workers who identified herself as Gloria, said that they were not able to rent rooms in some hotels and brothels for their businesses and they had to contact the security men who were willing to give out those houses and collect certain amount of money as commission from them.

Gloria said they usually charged their clients between N700 and N1000 for a round of sex and out of the money the security men in charged of the house will collect N200 as commission from them.

Another worker simply known as Jane said that apart from using those houses for short time services, some of the workers also passed nights in those places, especially those who could not get clients to take them to their homes and had no rented houses in Abuja.

She said that they usually paid N200 just to sleep, wake up early, take their bath, change their clothes and then go out to do other businesses in the day time.

Some of the security men who spoke to our correspondent confirmed that they do assist some ladies for temporary accommodation, where they just pass the night and then pay token amounts.

One of the security men said that they had to do so since the owners could not rent out the places. He said that some of the owners had not even come around for some years and owed them arrears of salary, and so they had to temporarily rent out the places to meet their needs.

CrimeNew Born Baby Found At Refuse Dump by arinze198(op): 7:48am On Feb 11, 2018
Residents of Igando were shocked after they discovered a baby abandoned inside the notorious refuse dump in the area in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the new born baby was wrapped with cloth, covered in a bag and dumped there by an unknown mother.

Read http://pmexpressng.com/new-born-baby-found-refuse-dump/

The baby who must have been dumped at night was found in the morning when some scavengers who frequent the dump site to pick scraps got about their normal business.

The source said that the baby who was found alive, was rescued and taken to a nearby General Hospital where the baby was kept at intensive care unit. It was not yet known if the baby had survived because the eye witness said the baby had cried so much, lost voice and became weak.

The residents who spoke on the incident rained cursed on such person that might have dumped the innocent baby there, as they described such conduct as cruel.
They reasoned that if the mother did not want the baby, she would have quietly dropped the baby at the orphanage centre than treat such human life without dignity.

They suspected that the mother might have dumped the baby in the night or very early in the morning when the scavengers had left the place. They decried the terrible situation of the dump which they claimed had been there for several years unattended to. It was learnt that the odour oozing out from there was a health hazard to the residents who lived close to the site.

“Sometimes people drop refuse very close to the high way because nobody controlled what was happening there” a resident said.

When our correspondent visited Igando Police Division, the DPO was not around to comment on the incident.

However, a source at the police station told P.M.EXPRESS that there was no formal report on such incident he was aware of. The General Hospital staff could not reached for comments except the security men who declined to speak to our reporter.

However, when the owner went there and confronted Pastor Obiaeli, he told the owner that the land belonged to him as directed by the spirit that asked him to that possession of the land.

The matter was reported to the police and Obiaeli was arrested. At the police station, he still claimed that the land belonged to him and presented the survey plan he had forged.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that the police went into investigation and discovered that the survey plan was forged and it was Emmanuel that was the real owner of the land.

Obiaeli was charged before Ogba Magistrates court for illegal occupation, forgery and malicious damage.

He pleaded not guilty.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. A.O.Ogbe granted Obiaeli bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties in like sum.

CrimeMan Loses Joystick As Lady Stabs Him With A Chisel by arinze198(op): 8:29pm On Feb 07, 2018
A furniture dealer Henry Umoh is now battling to restore his manhood after he was attacked by a 32-year old single lady, Oladunni Ogunsumsire with a chisel in Lagos.

The attacked took place at Idimu Road, Idimu, Lagos where Umoh had his office.

Omo narrated that he no longer had erection and his marriage was in jeopardy as he cannot have sex with his wife. P.M.EXPRESS scooped that Umoh’s wife has not taken the lightly as she was said to have threatened that it was either Oladunni replaced her husband’s joystick or she will deal with her because she was not ready to remain like that without having sex with her husband.

The police at Idimu Division had arrested Oladunni in connection with the attack and detained her at the police station but she was later granted administrative bail.

Read http://pmexpressng.com/man-loses-joystick-lady-stabs-chisel/

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that trouble started after Oladunni had given Umoh a contract for furniture and a date was agreed for him to complete the job. However, on the agreed date that she will carry the whole furniture, Oladunni got there, the job was not ready and she became angry.

She reportedly used the chisel at the workshop, stabbed Umoh and it pierced inside close to his penis which affected his penis. This was confirmed by Umoh who is now complaining bitterly about his health as he cannot fulfill his obligation to his wife despite the fact that they already had four kids.

Oladunni has admitted that she did so but that it was out of anger and she never knew it will got to that extent. Ondo State-born Oladunni said it was unfortunate that the whole thing had turned out like that, but pleaded with Umoh and the police that she was ready to treat Umoh at any cost to restore the penis back.

But the police insisted that Oladunni had committed a criminal offence and was liable. Consequently, the DPO ordered her to be charged to court for the alleged offence.

The Akwa Ibom State-born Umoh told the police that what was important to him was his health and since Oladunni and her family had agreed to treat him, he preferred being treated first than she being taken to court. Thus, Umoh swore an affidavit and presented to the police indicating that he did not want to go to court. He has been taken to an undisclosed General Hospital where he was being treated.

When P.M.EXPRESS contacted Oladunni, she was in tears and replied that the incident was a way that God had wanted to purge anger from her life. On what will happen if Umoh’s penis was not restored, she said he had faith and was optimistic that God will heal Umoh.

CulturePa Okorie’s Corpse Causes Commotion Inside Mortuary by arinze198(op): 6:00am On Feb 06, 2018
There has been commotion at Visitation Hospital mortuary in Umuchu Town, Aguata Local Government Area in Anambra State following the rejection of the corpse of one Pa Reuben Okorie who was said to be attacking other corpses and causing havoc at the mortuary.

People in the community have been wondering what would have been the cause of such a strange thing. Some felt may be the old man was not completely dead or was being kept in the mortuary against his wish while alive and it has created serious concern in the area.

P.M.EXPRESS learnt that the late Pa Okorie was known for his bravery and spiritual powers when he was alive and was dreaded in the community and its environs for decades before he died. He was said to have led several communal wars and had procured so many charms in those days which he used to execute those wars and won.

The residents narrated that his houses were said to have been deserted by the few surviving children for several years because of the strange deaths and happenings in the family.

People in the community were of opinion that it could be the effect of the charms that caused the trouble at the mortuary or he may have warned that he should be not taken to the mortuary when he dies.

However, it was gathered that the family members and members of his kindred had summoned a meeting, where they agreed that certain rituals have been to be performed to stabilize the corpse pending the burial.

CrimeRobbers Invade 3 Petrol Stations, Kill Police Sergeant by arinze198(op): 11:01am On Feb 05, 2018
Four dare devil armed robbers invaded Dapsey Petrol station lgando, Lagos state, killed a police officer identified as Sergeant Akor and wounded two others.

P.M EXPRESS reports that the bandits stormed the gas station located at Olowonla bus stop along Igando -lba-LASU Expressway at about 9pm on the ill fated Sunday in a Honda car.

According to one of the victims, who is an army personnel (names withheld), “Those bad boys stormed the petrol station in a commando style in a Honda car. They targeted where I was standing with those police officers near one of the parked petrol tankers, hit us with their car with the intention to crush us. We all fell down and I sustained a wound on my face, and immediately they started shooting indiscriminately and one of the bullets hit my leg while I ran for cover.”

In the midst of the confusion that ensured, the then wounded army officer said that one of the armed police officers who was also hit by the car, lost his rifle to the robbers and escaped with injuries.

The incident which lasted for over an hour took place few meters away from Igando Police Division and was said to have sent serious panic to residents due to the sporadic gun shots by the robbers.

Narrating how Sergeant Akor was killed, another eye witness Mr. Francis Adeleke, who was at the scene of the crime, recounted how the late police officer who was said to have stepped out of the petrol station before the attack, had on sighting the robbers, confronted them without his gun as he was said to have kept his gun behind before going out.

His words: “As the robbers started shooting, the sergeant came out and ran straight to them. They were shooting him but surprisingly, the bullets did not penetrate him and he was shouting ‘ you no fit’ you ‘you no fit'”

The robbers seeing that their bullets could not penetrate the police officer, fled with his rifle they had earlier confiscated, leaving their smashed car behind. But Sergeant Akor against the advice of some eye witnesses and the gas station staff was said to have pursued them to recover the police rifle from them.

However, after about half an hour later, the gas station manager known as Tijani, now in police custody, was said to have led some staff to trail the sergeant. When the search team arrived at ‘O’ Mark bus stop, Adeleke said that the sergeant’s lifeless body was found by the road side just a few poles away from the scene of the crime.

As at press time, his corpse and the robbers’ car were said to have been removed to the mortuary and Igando Police Division respectively, while the wounded officers were said to be recuperating at an undisclosed hospital.

Speaking with the proprietor of the gas station, Mr. Dapo, he confirmed that the resistance of the late police officer prevented the robbers from gaining access into his office to steal money. However, he frowned at the inability of the Igando Police Division to respond to their alert when the robbers struck.

He regretted that the robbers were not challenged by the Police Division despite having robbed 3 petrol stations including Forte Oil at Lanre bus stop the same night and injuring a lady at Power Petrol Station.

Unconfirmed report indicated that the lgando Divisional Police Officer, SP Rawlings Ogoezi, has been redeployed as a result of the multiple robbery incidences.

Efforts to confirm the incident from the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Chike Oti were not possible as he was yet to respond to messages sent to his phone.

PoliticsThe Real Problem With Nigeria by arinze198(op): 7:08am On Feb 05, 2018
EMEKA OPARAH

In trying to diagnose the key causative factor for the stunted development of Nigeria, in spite of the huge deposit of human and material resources in it by the Great Architect of the Universe, many have put it squarely and firmly at the doorstep of leadership. Renowned writer, the late Chinua Achebe, published a pocket-sized book entitled “Trouble With Nigeria” on the matter-and not a few agreed with his postulations. I have, however, a slightly modified opinion now, even if I agreed with Prof. Achebe then, which digs a step deeper into the problem. In actual fact, my thesis explains why leadership has failed as woefully as it has especially the years of post-Civil War era.

As a student of human behaviour, I read up a lot on B.F. Skinner’s Theory of Reinforcement, which states that “an individual’s behaviour is a function of its consequences”. The behaviourist, essentially, proposed reward and punishment as a way of sustaining good behavior and discouraging bad conduct respectively. Managing this dynamic is what Management experts and workplace Culture Specialist, Chris Edmonds refers to as Consequence Management-and I think that is the REAL problem with Nigeria. As a country, we have not imbibed the culture of rewarding good behavior and punishing bad ones and that is why not many good behaviors are repeated while bad behaviors are literally refreshed, remixed and redistributed!

Have you wondered why a reckless driver in Nigeria can relocate to the United States and doesn’t go to jail for bad driving with all the speed limits and law enforcement in the streets? It is neither luck nor smartness. It is because there are traffic laws in the United States and they are enforced. If you are not caught on the road while committing the offence, you could get captured by a traffic camera and a ticket posted to your house. You must answer the summons on the ticket and pay the fine or risk a bigger fine or jail term or both. That is a clear case of Consequence Management. And the traffic laws I have just described didn’t come about just like that. It is a result of a carefully planned and rigorously implemented process of human and traffic management.

Read http://pmexpressng.com/real-problem-nigeria/

To be able to drive in the United States (and I am using the US as an example because I have had a first-hand experience of their traffic management system), you MUST have a VALID Driver’s Licence. You start by applying online or at the Department of Public Transportation. Then, you take an online test and then a practical driving test based on which you will be issued a Licence if you are successful. I remember a friend who lives in the UK. Before she relocated, she used to be a “champion driver” and she always recounted her brushes with the Police and LASTMA (Lagos State Traffic Management Agency). She almost always escaped being penalized for either not having a valid driver’s licence or reckless driving or incomplete or invalid vehicle documents and even insurance. In the UK, she failed the test over 6 times, paid so much in hiring various Trainers-and blaming everyone else but herself for failing the tests and forever reapplying and queuing forever for another test.

On the contrary, in Nigeria, most of the people you encounter on the road driving themselves and, sometimes driving passengers commercially, did not go through any process before they took to the wheels. Many of them do not have a valid driver’s Licence. Majority of those who have, actually have either expired or fake licenses. To make matters worse, it is easier for a pregnant camel to pass through the half-closed eye of a needle than to process a driver’s Licence through the official channels. It is that bad-and takes very long time to do, if you have sufficient patience to get involved in the tortuous process. So, how does one begin to talk about Consequence Management with regard to the traffic system in Nigeria?

As it is with traffic, so it is with many other things. A former Governor of Lagos State, who made a point of driving himself most of the time and without the usual blaring sirens once told the story of how the CEO of a bank pushed his convoy off the road as he was heading to the local airport in Lagos. Ironically, if you may, the CEO, who was incidentally headed the same direction jumped out of his tinted car to greet the Governor when he arrived a few minutes later, was thoroughly embarrassed when he was told by the Governor of the earlier “greeting” by his speeding convoy. How does one begin to explain this?

Away from traffic, this issue of applying reward and punishment, which I have elected to describe here as Consequence Management has become a major albatross impeding the emergence of a better and stronger Nigeria-and a more respected people! Known criminals have been known to have taken or rather been given traditional titles in various communities. People with shady backgrounds with sudden wealth from doubtful sources have been rewarded with not only titles but the accompanying front row in churches and at secular public event – even if they are known to be of dubious character.

In government, people who have performed badly on their jobs have been known to have been rewarded with even higher positions (not responsibilities) as if it is better to be bad. People who looted public funds have been given a slap on the wrist, if at all, and allowed to even move around with official security protection. Nigerian politics and government is thickly populated by many people whose capacity and integrity are clearly in doubt-and it looks like there is nothing anybody can do about it. In actual fact, a good man or good woman is less likely to make it in public service or so it seems. The big one for me is that people who went into public service poor, may be not poor but not rich, come out very wealthy even when their remunerations are public knowledge. Many of them, in and out of service, live in opulence and display rather nauseating insensitivity to the suffering of majority of the people who, in a manner of speaking, put them in office.

By the way, I once told someone that one of the fundamental tragedies of leadership in Nigeria is that military men, including OBJ and PMB, who disrupted democratic rule, were ironically rewarded with the topmost political position in the country. Unlike Israel, where the military is the manufacturing line for political leaders, Nigeria has had an embarrassing surfeit of ‘coupists’ in political positions. It has had very strong and deleterious consequences on the politics, leadership and government.

It was, therefore, a big relief when the current government led by President Muhammadu Buhari promised it would fight corruption and bring back discipline in public and private life. Considering Buhari’s antecedents, especially His highly cherished War Against Indiscipline (WAI) many were expectant that, perhaps, the concept of Consequence Management in that sense would be put into practice. Also, with the strident reference to the poor performance of the previous government is security, infrastructure development and economic management, everyone expected that the current government would make examples of non-performing government officials. Alas, on the contrary, people who have under-performed as well as those not performing at all have been kept on their jobs without as much as public excoriation much less removal to serve as deterrent to laggards.

Admittedly, this is not peculiar to the current government but it has become a trend. As we say in my village, when a bad behavior is allowed to fester for one year, it becomes custom and tradition. Nigeria has allowed bad behaviors to fester for too long, and now we have a culture of impunity. Unfortunately, not up to 25% of Nigerians are badly behaved. We are a good people by nature, but the bad apples are spoiling the whole bunch. Less than 2 million Advance Fee fraudsters have so tainted the image of Nigeria that people from other countries are hesitant to do business with us-or take extra time and care to do proper due diligence on us before they can get into bed with us, in a manner of speaking. It is not everyone who has been in public service that looted public funds, but the 5% or so who did have been quite dominant in showcasing their ill-gotten money.

I dare say every leader was once a follower, just like every headmaster was a student at some point. One can, therefore, say the followers who are currently complaining about the leaders will someday take over from them. What guarantees do we have that they will not slide into disrepute as soon as they get there? Remember the story of the “demons in the Villa”, which suggests that you only need to get into public service and you will acquire the bizarre tastes and uncommon quest for too much money to sustain a visible and opulent lifestyle for yourself, your family relatives and friends into the 3rd or even 4th generation!

How do we deal with this? First is to vote for people of proven record of high performance and integrity. There is no art to read the mind’s construction in the face, as Shakespeare rightly said, but we can at least help by avoiding people with known record of poor performance and integrity deficit. This will set the stage for expectation management and then Consequence Management. In this sense, when people fail to meet our expectations, we kick them out as punishment and re-elect and re-appoint people when they perform and behave to our expectations.

Secondly, people in leadership positions must become conversant with setting agenda, setting goals, measuring performance, rewarding good performance and punishing bad performance. For instance, if a Minister fails to deliver his targets, he should be redeployed or fired. He should not be allowed four years, one full term, before something drastic is done about him or her. That is a whole lifetime, my dear friends!

Thirdly, with knowledgeable people in public service, even an issue like the management of traffic will become a piece of cake, not Rocket Science. I always say the day we have knowledgeable, capable people in key departments in public service, real change will occur. We have seen some examples even in the worst of times. Dr. Akinwunmi Adesina stuck out like a “sore thumb” in the Ministry of Agriculture during President Goodluck Jonathan’s government. Peter Obi became a standard for performance for South East Governors during his time. Governor Ambode of Lagos State has raised the high standards left behind by his predecessor Babatunde Raji Fashola. A knowledge-based leadership will drive more growth and performance by purposively designing KPIs for government officials, setting targets and standards and measuring them at the end of the day, with the right rewards and punishments as the case may be.

Fourthly, and very crucially, we must begin to police our laws. Most of what we lament about today have been captured and taken care of in our laws but the challenge has been in enforcing the laws. In some cases, we have even replicated some of the existing laws in new ones in total ignorance of the existence of the old ones. There is nowhere in the world including the US and the UK, we so often refer to like they are beds of roses, but the key difference between our country and those is that they are focused on the 11th Commandment: Thou Shall NOT get caught! In any sane society, once you break the law you go in for it. That is what we must now be aiming at, and it is easier said than done. We have to make examples of people who have broken the law. It is demotivating for a parent to treat two children, one well-behaved and the other badly behaved. You might end up losing both. So, when, or example, someone is being accused of malfeasance or nonfeasance and he is being appointed or reappointed into public service, it undermines the integrity of the government or the leader under whose watch such a nonsense has been done. Enough said.

Just like we say nobody is born bad, because the Great Architect of the Universe will never create anything bad, no country is created bad. It is the sum total of the behaviors of the leaders and the people that create the perception the rest of the world have. So, when someone describes Nigeria as a shithole, he knows, I hope, that no country was created a shithole. Perhaps, it is safer, as one has come to learn, that every country is a shithole but the difference is in the depth of the hole and the intensity of the putrefaction.

Even Consequence Management says I must stop writing lest I lose my readers. So, I stop by asking all of us to consider reviewing and rewiring ourselves to understand that nothing good comes easy and that we must do the work of building ourselves and our country into respectable entities by applying the right kind of rewards and punishments in every situation we find ourselves. It is as simple as taking care of people who have served the country well in government, sports, military, name it-and have brought honor and glory to the country.

I remain proudly Nigerian.

PoliticsRegret Over Buhari Or Jonathan? by arinze198(op): 8:18am On Feb 04, 2018
It was always predictable that, given his notoriety on that score, it was a matter of time for former President Olusegun Obasanjo to resume his pastime of undermining his military and civilian successors, by making President Muhammadu Buhari his latest victim. Amusingly, the rabble Obasanjo rouses on such occasions has dignified his deplorable tactics as a sort of distinction. If only they could critically dissect the man. There is this latent personality complex of striving never to be outshone or exceeded by any Nigerian living or dead. Hence, at the slightest prospect of being threatened, Obasanjo comes charging.

Obasanjo’s dismissal of Buhari’s performance is a vivid example. On the alert that African Union was to honour the Nigerian President as the Champion of Anti-Corruption in Africa the following day, Obasanjo came out with his diatribe in the mistaken belief that the great honour for Buhari and, indeed, Nigeria would be diminished if not rubbished by his comments. Unfortunately for him, African Union sustained its honour on Nigeria, much to the credit Muhammadu Buhari as the President under whose tenure Nigeria became rebranded, to the envy of Obasanjo. Every timing and content of Obasanjo’s verbal assault on his military and civilian successors is noteworthy for exposing Obasanjo’s self-exaggeration and case study in hypocrisy. He is on record in some of his books as rating himself above every Nigerian (civilian or military), who ever served at high level – Nnamdi Azikiwe, Obafemi Awolowo, Aminu Kano, Waziri Ibrahim, General Yakubu Gowon, Brigadier Benjamin Adekunle, General Alani Akinrinade, General Alabi Isama, General Buhari, General Ibrahim Babangida (IBB), General Sani Abacha (as military rulers), former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, President Umaru Yar’Adua, President Goodluck Jonathan and, now, President Buhari. General Abdulsalami Abubakar escaped Obasanjo’s bad tongue only because he released him (Obasanjo) from jail and heeded northern Generals who imposed Obasanjo on Nigeria as an elected President. Obasanjo kept off IBB since the day the former military President, in a rejoinder to Obasanjo, openly served him notice that “Henceforth, it will be fire for fire.” Obasanjo got the coded message.

Very disturbingly and unknown to Nigerians is the fact that, contrary to the impression that Obasanjo, in his criticisms, is motivated by public service or altruism, he goes to town specifically when he fails to run the show from outside for an incumbent head of government or get appointments for his cronies. Former President Jonathan conceded, almost virtual running of his government to Obasanjo up to the time a memo written by Obasanjo recommending removal of six appointees from federal boards, to be replaced by six of his cronies, got leaked to Nigerian Tribune newspaper. Obasanjo initially denied authorship of the memo. Somehow, Nigeria Police foolishly arraigned Nigeria Tribune and its reporter for alleged sedition. Nigerian Tribune then had to republish the memo with Obasanjo’s full signature. That was the end of the matter, as the police had to withdraw the charges till today.

In the current anti-Buhari misadventure by Obasanjo, how many Nigerians took notice that, amid the euphoria on Buhari’s victory, Obasanjo, in his arrogance of Mr. Know All, dispatched two volumes of policies President Buhari must implement during his current tenure? Who was elected President of Nigeria in 2015? Buhari or Obasanjo? Obasanjo’s major weakness of feeling superior to everybody is the cause of his running down contemporaries. Apparently, Buhari kept Obasanjo’s policies in the shelf, a derision, which embittered Obasanjo. Hence his frustration. “I said it from the beginning that Buhari is not strong on economy.” Who then displays his Ph.D in Economics? Obasanjo. Here was a man, so arrogant and power-drunk that he openly dismissed the advisers he had just sworn in that as much as they might advise, he, President Obasanjo, was not bound to take their advice. The same man imposing total policy directive on a President yet to be sworn in.

The same deplorable tactics by Obasanjo did not work on late President Yar’Adua, not the least because he rejected Obasanjo’s attempt to run the government for him, but he also cancelled Obasanjo’s hurried investment of a whopping half a billion dollars in African Finance Corporation a fortnight before handing over to Yar’Adua. That investment was without the approval of the National Assembly. The late President Yar’Adua also queried an expenditure of $16 billion by Obasanjo’s administration purportedly on power supply with, according to Yar’Adua, “…nothing to show for it.” It is a question of character and hypocrisy. Who ever ran Obasanjo’s administrations for him? Who ever nominated public office holders for Obasanjo throughout his tenure? Who imposed policies on Obasanjo? Indeed, on his first day in office in 1999, Obasanjo expressed thanks to all those who helped him but instantly requested all of them to keep away. If so, why must he aim to run government for others?

Former President Obasanjo is the cheapest critic in Nigeria as he merely echoes claims of the innocent public. Obasanjo was not bold enough to specify Lawal Musa Daura (DG, Department of State Services) and Mamman Daura, a veteran journalist, as the major focus of the charge of nepotism against Buhari. Admittedly, Mamman Daura is a nephew, but Lawal Daura (DG, DSS), might just be Buhari’s townsman. Is that, therefore, peculiar to President Buhari or Nigeria or even Africa? What, anyway, was the record under Obasanjo or former President Goodluck Jonathan? During Obasanjo’s tenure, his daughter, Iyabo Obasanjo Bello, was Ogun State commissioner for health. Iyabo was also elected senator from Ogun Central, her father’s constituency. Above all, only the collapse of Obasanjo’s third term agenda cost his daughter the governorship of Ogun State for which she specially formed the Iyaniwura Foundation. Most remarkably, Obasanjo removed the serving Director-General of DSS to make way for Ogun State and fellow Egba, Colonel Kayode Are (retd). Obasanjo, therefore, owes Nigerians the difference between him and President Buhari, a task which should have been performed the very minute today’s journalists collected Obasanjo’s infamous letter.

Read http://pmexpressng.com/regret-buhari-jonathan/

Former President Jonathan similarly removed the Director-General of DSS he inherited and replaced him with his South South fellow indigene, Ita Ekpenyong. Why was there no complaint of nepotism? Much is being made of the influence Mamman Daura wields inside Aso Rock. A nephew of President Buhari? So what? At least, Mamman Daura is a Nigerian, who (whatever his blood ties with Buhari) has a constitutional right to serve in any government of this country. Who did Obasanjo import to wield influence on his administration for eight years? A former Mayor of Atlanta, Georgia in United States. An American inside the innermost chamber of Nigerian government? Would a Nigerian have been ever-privileged to access similar level of governance in the United States? Still under Obasanjo, a lavish marriage for another American acquaintance was celebrated inside Aso Rock. If such waste of Nigeria’s resources were to take place in Aso Rock for Buhari’s foreign acquaintance today, Obasanjo would have led the criticisms.

Allegation of nepotism in today’s politics? Only hypocrites, opportunists, the mischievous and the ignorant feed fat on such meal, all in the fraud of championing public morality.

In the United States, seeming nepotism is mere routine for an incumbent President. The 1960 episode of the much-loved John Kennedy appointing his immediate younger brother, Robert Kennedy, as attorney-general may be too far behind. Today, President Donald Trump has around him in the White House wielding great influence daughter, as special adviser, and son-in-law, Jared Kushner, designated as special adviser but virtually more powerful on all Middle East matters than Secretary of State, Rex Tillerson. Before making mince meat of Donald Trump, let it be known that Trump merely followed his predecessors, like Bill Clinton, who appointed his wife, Hilary Clinton, as head of a health review task force. The appointment was legally challenged but the court ruled the appointment was no nepotism. Under President George Bush Junior’s administration, Secretary of State Colin Powell’s son, Michael Powell, was appointed Chairman of Federal Electoral Commission. Nepotism? Obasanjo and co-travellers should read Adam Bellow’s book, In Praise of Nepotism Presidency.

A major achievement of President Buhari is that he has restored civility and harmony to the Presidency, such that Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, himself a loyal and contented human being, was publicly appreciated by Buhari as “my brother.” Nigerians have not been treated to the crude illegality of manipulation of the Constitution in a futile attempt to humiliate an innocent man out of office. Obasanjo made allegation of financial crime of round tripping against unspecified members of Buhari’s administration. That can’t be true. If, however, he has the facts, Obasanjo has the duty to convey such to the EFCC Chairman. Lest we forget, pace of governance is inexcusably (repeat, inexcusably) slow. It should never again take seven months to announce, screen and swear in ministers. Equally the eventual dismissal of a doubly indicted SGF (by the Senate and Vice-President Osinbajo review committee) should not have been triggered only by the Maina controversy. Such slow pace or vacillation throws Buhari into avoidable frying pan of controversy

Should Buhari contest in 2019? That is his personal decision. Elections as well as the performances of a leader all over the world are determined by the electorate, who, in Nigeria’s case, run into multiple scores of millions. One man, in his arrogance, must not be allowed to appropriate such voting power to himself. Elections are either won or lost. When a man, who, towards the end of an eight-year term, plotted to rule for life (a treason offence) now arrogates to himself the moral of determining the political fate of a fellow citizen, we shouldn’t take him seriously. Buhari or Jonathan? There is no regret for Jonathan’s exit, in view of scandalous revelations. I endorsed Buhari since 2002 for the yeoman’s job, which he commenced less than three years ago. I am satisfied.

Christianity Etc2 Pastors, Church Members In Public Brawl Over Land by arinze198(op): 7:39am On Feb 04, 2018
It was tough for the police officers at Idimu Division to prevent the shedding of blood between the members of two churches who had to drop their Bibles and engaged in public brawl over plots of land in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS learnt that some of members from both parties sustained minor and serious injuries during the fight and were being treated at various hospitals around the area.

The incident happened at Calvary Estate in Idimu, Lagos were the two churches – a white garment church also known as Aladura and Calvary Church were located.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the two pastors who were the owners of the churches had involved their members in the fight, were exchanging blows and physically assaulted themselves. However, the situation was brought under control when the police got information, went to the scene of fight and quenched the squabble.

Read http://pmexpressng.com/2-pastors-members-public-brawl/

It was gathered that the fight started after the Aladura Church wanted to develop a parcel of land they reportedly bought from one Alhaji Adebimpe. The attempt to develop the said plot of land was resisted by the Calvary Church members who claimed that the land belonged to them. That led to the members of the two churches openly confronting themselves to the extent that they forgot the spiritual, threw caution to the winds and physically engaged themselves in a public fight.

P.M.EXPRESS learnt that the two churches had earlier acquired plots of land where they built their churches. And since they were the first set of people that acquired plots of land over there and developed them, they reportedly grabbed other plots of land close to their churches to the extent that they now owned most plots of land there.

Some of the residents who knew what happened told P.M.EXPRESS that Calvary Church and the Aladura church came early in the area and bought four plots of land. It was gathered that Calvary Church compound had since increased to 16 plots while that of the Aladura had increased to 10 plots, and it was not certain if they bought them from the original owners of the land.

When our correspondent visited the area, the residents confirmed the incident and said that the police got there in good time, intervened and invited the parties to the police station for the settlement of the dispute, thereby preventing what would have degenerated to huge bloodshed.
When P.M.EXPRESS visited Idimu Police Station, the police confirmed the incident and said that the parties had been invited to the police station and had warned them to maintain peace until the matter was finally settled.

CrimeTop 5 Lgas With High Crime Rate In Lagos State by arinze198(op): 11:10pm On Feb 02, 2018
Despite the fact the police have intensified efforts to fight criminal elements in communities in the various Local governments Areas in Lagos State, there were indications that some LGAs were still leading in the rate of crime in the state.

P.M.EXPRESS investigations revealed the top five local governments in the state where crime rate remained high. Ikorodu local government was ranked as the number one on the list after the investigations.

Findings showed that communities in Ikorodu top the list because of the peculiarity of the crimes being committed there daily. Namely – armed robbery, kidnapping, sea robbery/pirates attack, oil bunkering, cultism, ritual killings, murders and other related crimes.

It was also gathered that due to the high crime rate in the area, recently the security agents comprising the Police and Navy Commands created two security units comprising the Mobile Police unit and Navy patrol team.

The residents said that Ikorodu took the leading position because of the riverine creeks surrounding the area, which made it easily accessible for crimes and escape routes. The relocation of some Lagos residents in the area worsened the situation through population increase which affected the security management in the area.

The second on the list of the Local Government mentioned was Alimosho for the volatile nature of crimes there. According to the residents, Alimosho is the largest local government in Lagos and even in Nigeria, with a very high population of people to deal with.

The patterns of crime prevalent in Alimosho was listed as vehicle snatching, fraud syndicates, church fraud, armed robbery, burglary, oil bunkering, among others.

Read http://pmexpressng.com/top-5-lgas-high-crime-rate-lagos-state/

It was also noted the area was surrounded by rivers and canals which linked to Ogun State and make it easy for the criminal elements to escape.

The Nigerian Police noted the difficulty in managing security in the area and took certain measures by creating another police command (Area P Command) within the local government in order to manage the crimes in the area effectively.

P.M.EXPRESS investigations also revealed that Badagry and Ojo Local governments shared the third position in crime rate in the State. Some of the communities there were known for kidnapping, rape, fraud syndicate, vehicle snatching, piracy, smuggling and other related crimes.

According to the residents, the high rate of the crimes there were necessitated by the presence of the Alaba International Market and the Badagry Expressway that led to the boarder between Nigeria and other West African countries.

During the investigation, it was discovered that the crime rate in those places was increasing because the areas exposed people as easy preys for criminals and had escape routes for criminals because of poor security management in the areas.

Two local government areas, Apapa and Mushin shared the fourth position because of the nature of the crimes being committed there. Findings showed that the areas were known for prostitution, heavy smoking of Indian hemp and other drug related crimes, motorcycle robbery and stealing.

The youths there were said to be so addicted to drugs to the extent that they do not have physical power to do any meaningful work for survival than to get involved in violent crimes. The areas included the ‘jungle Ajegunle city’ in the Apapa and the notorious Akala area of Mushin.

The last among the top five is Agege local government. They were said to be known for defilement of young girls, snatching of wives and husbands, fraud including money doublers, prostitution, fake currencies, stealing etc.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that there were other local governments were crimes were prevalent such as Lagos Island, Eti-osa and others but the focus was the top five where some local governments shared same percentage and were merged as one.

It was also noted that the Nigeria Police knew the peculiarities of crime in those areas and were putting measures in place in order to curb them as noted by the Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Mr Imohimi Edgal.
CrimeLagos State Govt Rescues 14 Year Old Physically Abused Teenager by arinze198(op): 10:59pm On Feb 02, 2018

CrimeSoldiers Storms Police Station To Abduct Suspect by arinze198(op): 11:56pm On Feb 01, 2018
The police at Ikotun Division were taken by surprise after unknown soldiers invaded the station, attacked and attempted to abduct a suspect, one Marcus Olumide who was detained at the police station over N40,000 that a businessman owed him in Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the businessman simply known as Faka held back Olumide’s money after he had worked for him. During that period Faka was said to have bought a brown customized SUV worth over N15m.

However, few days later robbers struck at Faka’s home and stole the SUV and it has not been found. Since the incident happened their neighbours in Abarenje in Ikotun area where they resided had been going to Faka’s house to sympathise with him.

But Olumide who had earlier lamented that Faka had such money to buy the SUV yet was unable to pay him the little money he had worked for, was said not to have any sympathy for him over the loss. It was gathered that Olumide went to his house and demanded for his money despite the fact that he knew that he lost his cherished vehicle.

Read http://pmexpressng.com/soldiers-storms-police-station-abduct-suspect/

Faka became angry and invited the police at Ikotun Division, claiming that Olumide was the suspect who stole his SUV. Police sources said that when the officers heard what happened and were unable to establish any criminal matter against Olumide, the police advised the parties to make peace.

However, Faka was not satisfied with the advice of the police; he went and arranged with some soldiers to abduct Olumide to an unknown place.

Their plan failed after the soldiers noticed the presence of some journalists who were making calls to seniors police officers and they hurriedly left the police station.

At the police station, it was gathered that the DPO was not around when the soldiers stormed the place but seemed to have done nothing to discourage such conducts at the station.

When our correspondent contacted the victim, he confirmed the incident and said he was at an undisclosed hospital receiving treatment. He denied knowing anything about the missing SUV and said that Faka only wanted to intimidate him after he had worked for him and he refused to pay him.

When P.M.EXPRESS tried to contact Faka, he could not be reached. However, it was confirmed from the residents that the vehicle was actually stolen.

CrimeMan Dupes Friend N2.4m, Sets Him Up by arinze198(op): 8:09am On Jan 31, 2018
A suspected conman, Eruagah ThankGod has been arrested after he duped his bosom friend, Vitalis Darlinton to the tune of N2.4m and set him up at the computer village in Lagos.

The incident happened in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, where both the suspect and the victim resided. But the suspect tricked the victim to Lagos and set him up at the computer village in Ikeja, Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that Darlinton had informed ThankGod that he had raised enough money to travel abroad for greener pastures. It was when ThankGod discovered that the victim actually had such huge money that he promised to assist him to procure travel documents.

It was gathered that after the victim gave him the money, he procured fake travel documents and brought him to Lagos having convinced him that he had already paid for the ticket for his travelling.

However, when they got to Lagos, Thankgod paid for an accommodation in a hotel at Iyana Ipaja area where they lodged. The next day, he took Darlington to computer village to buy a phone as he would travel the next day.

FamilyMan Deceives Barren Wife, Impregnates Divorcee by arinze198(op): 6:59am On Jan 30, 2018
A woman simply known as Joyce who was barren for 17 years has suffered heartbreak after she discovered that her husband, Bobo had secretly got kids from a divorcee, Chiamaka without her knowledge.

The incident happened at Nkpor town in Anambra State where Bobo hailed from, but lived with Joyce in Ejigbo, Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that the whole secret came to the open when Chiamaka put pressure on Bobo, that she no longer wanted their affair to remain hidden and desired to take her position as the woman of the house.

It was gathered that Bobo and Joyce got married many years ago and were blessed with materially things as they had several houses both in Lagos and their home town in Nkpor. However, they were unable to bear children after trying medical and spiritual solutions. They were strong members and wedded in the Catholic Church.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that after waiting for several years, Joyce suggested that they should adopt a child that will look after them at their old age but Bobo refused insisting that they had to continue to look up unto God for the fruit of the womb.

As a result, Bobo had issues with members of his family concerning their inability to have child. The family members reportedly invited the couple and suggested that they should abduct kids but Bobo still refused. Joyce did not know that while all these were going on, Bobo already had two children with the divorcée Chiamaka and had rented an apartment for her in their town.

However, the whole thing got exposed when Chiamaka brought three kids to the family house during the Christmas period in the presence of Joyce. She introduced herself as Bobo’s wife and presented the children to the family.
The family summoned a meeting and concluded that they had no choice than to plead with Joyce to accept Chiamaka and the children.

The bone of contention now is that Chiamaka wants Bobo to take her and the kids to Lagos and demanded that Joyce should return to the village because she had no child.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that Bobo is now in a dilemma and does not know what to do as all the properties they had in Lagos were acquired through the efforts of Joyce.

PoliticsObasanjo’s ‘puritanism’ And Hypocrisy’s New Found Heights. by arinze198(op): 3:54am On Jan 28, 2018
For those who don’t know, former President Olusegun Obasanjo is in every right a statesman and an accomplished figure, commanding respect both on home soil and abroad.

Obasanjo, indeed is a man of many firsts and I give it to him, a man known for his courage and his penchant for been blunt on matters of national discourse.

Yet, the same Obasanjo sometimes displays the pronounced possession of harmattia, the tragic flaw that wrecks every protagonist.

Such harmattia includes the attempt to play God in a number of circumstances, and the arrogating of saintly or messianic posturing to himself alone.

An example of such arrogance can be seen in his downplaying of the June 12, 1993 struggle, where he alluded that the late business mogul and winner of that ill-fated election, Chief Moshood Kolawole Abiola was not the Messiah or when he single-handedly imposed the sick leadership of former President Umaru Musa Yar-Adua on the country in 2007.

Obasanjo’s second flaw is his profound ability to lapse into pulsating hypocrisy. On a number of occasions he has exhibited an over exaggerated sense of pietism: Everyone is bad, excepting him, everyone is a part of the duplicity, the fraud, the corruption and numerous ills of this nation save for him!

On a number of such occasions, Obasanjo has labelled all sorts of institutions within Nigeria as “this and that”, only for those institutions to respond back that he is the very author of such venality!

And so, the press statement issued a few days ago by the former president, urging President Muhammadu Buhari not to seek a second term in office did not spring any surprises; a fact check will reveal that right from his days as a retired general, the former president has always loved to take swipes at successor administrations. Sadly, the same sins Obasanjo committed is what he has falsely accused Buhari of committing, all in the attempt to justify his letter!

Has Obasanjo blithely forgotten his misdeeds as a civilian head of state, where the prices of goods and services rose beyond the reach of the common man? I was a jambite then, but I will always recall that my father’s business took a downturn then owing to the introduction of a number of policies that were anti people. For example, the Naira lost its value compared to the Dollar by eighty percent under Obasanjo without any of the pressures faced by the Buhari administration today.

Obasanjo, in that letter trumpeted that Buhari had failed as poverty was rampaging the land. Yet he Obasanjo seems to have forgotten that it was under his eight years in office that the Nigerian middle class was finally wiped out through his reactionary policies.

Can Obasanjo tell the country what were the achievements of his Poverty Alleviation Programmes. How many Nigerians were lifted out of poverty under his watch? Under his watch, the incidence of poverty rose to seventy percent while the United Nations Development Programme’s report then voted Nigeria 148th out of 173 in terms of abysmal living conditions.

Even at that, we are witnessing a Nigeria that is on the verge of a full diversification of the economy, where the nation is experiencing a boom in rice and wheat cultivation, saving the country the much needed foreign exchange that would have gone into the purchase of such commodities outside the shores of this country.

Again, thankfully, Nigeria exited a recession that failures of past administrations, Obansanjo’s inclusive contributed into plunging Nigeria into. Should the credit go to an Obasanjo or to Buhari who presided over such? If it is the latter then on what grounds can an Obasanjo accuse a Buhari of not having a grasp of the economy?

The herdsmen/Farmers crisis is indeed a big blow to the Buhari administration, yes, I agree, but it will be unfair of Obasanjo to accuse Buhari of doing little to stem it. First of all, the herdsmen/farming clashes have been with us even before the emergence of Buhari. It did not start today and has only received such attention owing to the fact that a Fulani man is our president. Still, I think if an Obasanjo deems it befitting to deny Buhari his constitutional right to a second term owing to the herdsmen crisis then can we kindly remind him of what roles he played when soldiers rampaged Odi, Zaki Biam and the OPC/Hausa crisis in Lagos then. What about the murders of Bola Ige, Harry Marshall, Dikibo and Chuba Okadigbo?

Obasanjo’s barefaced hypocrisy is indeed remarkable. He claims that there is a “Culture of condonation and turning blind eye will cover up rather than clean up. And going to justice must be with clean hands.” Wonderful!

Please, can an Obasanjo tell us what he did to his Mr. Fix it when it was proven that funds meant for the nation’s decaying infrastructure were fixed into foreign accounts. I cannot be quick to forget the scandal of the Petroleum Trust Development Fund, PTDF drama or the little or no success that came after fixing a whooping $16bn in a power sector that did not add beyond a hundred megawatts?

Christianity EtcMy Pastor Has Been Sleeping With Me – Housewife Confesses by arinze198(op): 11:54pm On Jan 23, 2018
The police at Area M Command, Idimu in Alimosho Local Government Area of Lagos have arrested a popular pastor, Raphael Obi aka Sharp Sharp for alleged gross misconduct by sucking a woman’s breasts and engaging her in marathon sex in the name of deliverance.

This followed the confession made by the embattled victim to her husband (nameswithheld), who asked her husband to forgive her over the adultery.

The incident happened at the church premises located at Abaranje in the
Ikotun area of Lagos where the victim also resided and attended the church.

P.M.EXPRESS scooped that Pastor ‘Sharp sharp’ gave the woman a bottle of soft drink which he reportedly mixed with some substances and she became unconscious. She claimed that she was hypnotised and complied with whatever the pastor asked her to do.

In a statement to the police, the victim said that the pastor asked her to remove her clothes for him to deliver her from the spirits behind diseases which she did. He then grabbed her two breasts and sucked them.

P.M.EXPRESS gathered that when they could not control their emotions during the purported deliverance, they had sex inside the church and since then they have been having sex regularly.

When our correspondent visited the Area M Police Command, Idimu, the suspect was still detained there and police sources confirmed the incident and revealed that the matter was being investigated by a police team led by female police officer, DSP Agatha Eze.

The victim and her husband were also seen at the Police Command but they declined to comment on the matter.

However, one of the relations of the victim revealed what transpired between the pastor and the family which he described as a great betrayal. He narrated that when the pastor wanted to open the church, it was the woman’s husband that gave the pastor the financial support. He remarked that it was rather bad that he had to pay him back by sleeping with his wife.

When our correspondent contacted the Area Commander, Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Austine Akika, he confirmed the incident and said that the police have commenced investigation into the matter.
