Politics › Re: Tight Security The Moment IPOB Leader Entered EU Parliament Building by Armaggedon: 8:18pm On Sep 10, 2019
selemempe:
that is why i said 'may'

I believe that biafra will be achieved but only wen oil finishes in niger delta or wen oil loses relevance.
Nigeria is too artificial to work. Wat i dont know for sure (but which is probably the most important thing in the whole agitation) is which territories will make up biafra. If i were kanu, i will either limit it to igboland (including igbo delta and rivers) or i will limit it to the original 9 states that made up the 1st biafra...without delta and edo
I used to be a great fan of homogeneous Igbo Biafra and I still am. But cultural and strategic reasons wouldn't permit that. Therefore I suggest a Biafra made up of Igbo, efik/Ibibio, Ijaw and idoma. I strongly reject adding urhobo, itshekiri and igala. urhobo is edoid, itshekiri is edoid in culture yoruboid in language and like someone said, igala has too many Muslims. we can't take people who are not receptive to the movement.

They want Niger Delta to joint Biafra so that they can continue from where their fathers stop, the best options for Niger Delta is to have a country of their own or better remain in one Nigeria, Igbo man can do anything for money and power
If Igbo's complain of marginalization you tell them "their brother" Jonathan has been in power without doing anything, but when they want to have Biafra with 'their brothers" it becomes another issue. Nigerian and double standards.
Politics › Re: Femi Adesina: Nigeria Built On False Foundation by Armaggedon:
A country were a section is happy that supposed citizens from another section are being attacked for engaging in legitimate businesses in a foreign land.

a country where a leader from another section openly justified attacks on supposed fellow citizens from another section by South Africans saying that they "intimidate their host"

a country that invest on housing for foreigners from Mali while citizens remain world's poorest people.

a country that has made corruption its core value.

a country were sectarian butchery and genocide has been elevated to a norm.

a country that claims to be one but during election "Igbo president" " Hausa president" " Yoruba president" will swell the vocabulary of her political lexicon.

a country where some people are officially called "minority" while some are majority.

a country that through its policy stereotype an ethnic group as criminals while bigger crimes from others are hidden

No logical fellow should be proud of Nigeria. we are not one and can't hold together.
Politics › Re: What Percentage Of Idoma Is Muslim? by Armaggedon: 2:40pm On Sep 09, 2019
Idoma and Igbo are almost one. A colleague I served with in the north was from the area. He could hear Igbo very well and when spoke on the phone, you would know he was speaking a language that is almost Igbo which needs a little "adjustment" to understand. Ironically Hausas called him Igbo. That was when I stopped calling him a northerner. Our people seem to forget them only because they are called North. There is a lot of make believe in Nigeria. This country is so fake.

So many negative values compressed in one thing called a man. you're a silly, sassy, naughty, uncouth brat and it reflects poorly on your much touted experience that you know not what the power sector encompasses. with just small interaction, your unstable senses oscillated between anger on an invention and IPOB. I assure you it wouldn't take more than a simple medical examination to give you your rightful place in a psychiatric ward because typing a long senseless junk just like you do requires some abnormal inspirations which sane humans like us don't possess. It is clearly exhausting trying to converse with an unhinged social misfit who has been elevated to the status of 'the responsible' by cyberspace freedom.

and Chimaroke would lose re election. of course we know the result was complete opposite. Shame in him for having supported Buhari.

Arkmanbuddy:
Let me ask you: how many tribes make up the US, can yi count all of them? US is the biggest economy and is a country of several different people from different ethnic backgrounds. How many tribes make up the Koreas yet they're so divided?

The truth is, to develop a nation requires the joint effort of a people who believe its possible, regardless of tribe and tongue. That we're not developed is not due to the fact that we're made up of many tribes but because we haven't gotten leaders with the right combination of intellectual wherewithal and ownership of this great Nation. When this happens, every other thing will fall into place.

That's just the fact!
you're writing nonsense. pls stop turning logic upside down. That a country is homogeneous doesn't mean challenges won't be experienced but certainly not problems so serious and intractable as the ones CAUSED when a country has sharp differences in values, when the population can clearly be categorized into various ethno-religious groups with their respective homelands, when what seperates the various groups is far smaller than what they share in common, when a country does not have a cultural focus. This was the case of India before partitioning, Sudan before south Sudan independence, Yugoslavia before break up and Czechoslovakia. This is currently the case with Nigeria. A country doesn't even need to be 100% homogeneous before they can hold together. most European nations have a major uniting ethnic group serving as a cultural focus while the minorities are respected. Nigerian s have been deceived with the concept of unity in diversity. it means that diversity is basic and what unites is smaller than what is shared. No nation survives on such.
your USA example is senseless cos US appear divers but actually homogeneous cos it was founded by migrants on Anglo-protestant and liberal values without homeland boundaries.
Excluding Fulani invaders, the north can live peacefully as one country cos irrespective of ethnic differences most of them speak Hausa. the East can also be a united cos what Igbo, efik/Ibibio and izon have in common is bigger than what divides them. but Nigeria can't function as a single whole cos the value differences are so sharp.

Ogurube:
Candace Owens is full of nothing and is just a sycophant of the Republican Party (the party of Teapartiers and Trump, who desperately say the most racist and ignorant things) to divide and conquer. My people, please don't fall for this drivel that's targeted to make Nigerian-Americans seem important than other Africans, at home and the diaspora. Every immigrant works hard in this well-contrived plantation. Anyone whose sovereignty and values have not been emasculated by many years of suppressive lies, oppressive justice system, and exploitative policies, and who's at liberty to go elsewhere to seek better opportunities and can reconnect with their ancestral land, will have the confidence do well. Relatively speaking, Nigerian-Americans are not the most successful immigrants or Africans, by virtue of our population. Yes, Nigerians go to school, but not many develop a mindset to initiate solutions that help Nigeria. Rather, they go work for the big-brand corporations and government that exploit Nigeria. The disparity between the haves and the have-nots in Nigeria continues to widen while our Nigerian-American educated ones give their knowledge to the massa. Africa will remain a politically and developmentally dysfunctional nation, until all Blacks begin to uplift each other to high standards. All Ms. Owens is doing is play Uncle Tom for the GOP to try to woo some 2-goody-shoes Blacks to their party of bigotry. Is it not the same Republican Party, under Andrew Johnson, that reneged on the promises made by Lincoln to compensate emancipated slaves with 40 acres and a mule? Is it not the same Republicans who conspired to impede high-ranking Black members who did not meet their "Lily White" criteria? Is it not the same Republican Party that filibustered to undermine the Civil Rights and Voting Rights Bill? Is it not the same Republicans that got in the way of Obama's great ideas, who are now looking the other way from Trump's umpteenth travesties? Abegi, make she park well and shut up. Nigerians or Nigerian-Americans don't need anyone's validations about how hard we work. Rather, we'd like to be seen as achievers and charitable back home.
I agree with all your points except the one in bold. many Nigerians who have solutions to the country's problems really express concerns about them but the same reason they left the country is the reason they can't contribute to the nation's development, which is the nature of the polity. Nigeria is not a normal country. This country was never established to serve citizens interest. The whites knew that creating a massive state by bringing people who have deeply-divided value systems together would create disagreement, breed mutual suspicion and hatred along ethnic divides, making mass protest and nation wide anti government movement impossible. By creating this sort of lock jam in the polity, an anti people and corrupt political class is empowered to serve there own as well as neo colonial interest. No accomplished Nigerian from abroad can serve in a government headed by a waec failure. heck! they don't even need your ideas cos they are not there for the people. Corruption is not Nigeria's fundamental problem, it is the political system constructed in such a way that there will never be political will for development. Believe it or not, the only way to restore sanity, discipline, patriotism and normal political process is for us to SEPARATE.
