Politics › Re: Uzodimma Speaks On Installation Of Emir In Imo by Armaggedon: 11:34am On Feb 28, 2020
Hope Uzodimma, the governor of Imo State, has reacted to speculations in some quarters with regards to his administration installing an Emir in the state.

Mr Uzodimma was on Wednesday reported to have installed an Emir – a title used in addressing Muslim rulers – in the Christian predominantly state.

The rumor-mongers further backed up their claim with images of the governor with some delegates dressed in traditional attires.

Describing the report as fake news, the governor attributed it to the handiwork of opposition politicians in the state who are hell bent on distracting his administration.

He said the photos trending on social media was from a courtesy visit paid to him by Hausa community residing in the state.

“This was a courtesy visit from the Hausa community in Imo state,” Uzodimma said in a tweet on Thursday.

“The fake news in circulation is another attempt by opposition to distract this administration,” he added.

The Creation of Several Security Groups by various ethnic groups, is only going to worsen the present Security challenges in the country and take the crisis and chaos to a whole new level.
These ethnic groups don't have the financial and military intelligence to sustain the planned creation of several security groups. They should not start what they can't finish, just because it sounds good to them.
Collective effort of all ethnic groups, is the way forward in solving this security crisis.
where in ogbadibo are you from?

seunmsg:
You are not making the right conclusion. AA and APGA have not said they don’t have the results. They never contested the results presented by Hope for the 388 polling units. It is only PDP and INEC that disputed the results. The court then asked them to bring forward their own version of the results that came out of the polling units. Sadly, they couldn’t produce any.

So you see, you cannot accuse someone of forgery except you can produce the original. The police also certified the results presented by Hope as authentic results from the polling units. So, I think it is only right to conclude that PDP and INEC also have the same results but they colluded to render them invalid and deny its existence just to deny Hope is victory and give Ihedioha a fraudulent victory. Even Ihedioha knew he didn’t win the election.
You are very funny. If an employee and an employer are locked in a certificate case before you as the judge, the university declares they have no record of him in the school and in fact he never attended the school, non one in his supposed graduating class collaborate his claim, except a retired officer in the school security unit with a list claiming the employee did clearance with him when he was still a staff? Will you ever rule such a student graduated based on evidence from a retired staff from the school security dept on issue as important as certificate case?

Who has the burden of proof in such a case? The litigant or the defendant? Isn't the litigant the one who should provide enough evidence to validate his claim and in the case of hope hiss 388 poling units "result"?

Not being able to confirm a certificate isn't that the best way to prove that someone never attended a school and in hopes case, failure to provide their own copy of the result by inec and other parties?

Funny people everywhere.

Some fool are quoting me hopelessly. If you think Nigeria is ever going to remain one in the face of this jihad then you are so foolish that you are a disgrace to some reasonable goats. Every freedom loving ethnic group while forming their own security outfit should plan on where to pitch their tent and build a future based in shared values.

Which yeye igbo customary laws? You guys truly deserve your own igbo only country, where you can be allowed to go back to the stone age.

I don't blame you guys, it's your women I blame. They take too much shit from misogynist menfolks in the name of tradition. Come to warri and try half of these useless customs on our girls and they will show you how far.

Property, she has no right to inherit from her own father. Her own child she carried for 9 month, you want to claim, because her baby daddy did not come and pay you money in the form of bride price. If the husband dies, you will see the husband's brothers circling like vultures to come and claim properties they did not work for. If the husband dies, the wife will be made to endure all sorts of humiliating ceremonies in the name of culture.

I am always proud of the way my wafi sisters treat their Bleep up. I am seen a situation where a igbo man who was married to an urhobo lady died. She and her little children went to bury the man in his village with a full detachment of mopol. The youths of the town wanted to cause trouble, insisting she undergoes some ceremonies. After the mopol used some to do "for example" no body told them to forget culture.

After the burial, the family made mistake of coming to warri, where the guy built a massive house and plenty cars. I trust Ekpan youths, they were waiting for them.
fake stories...in your dreams

A woman buried her husband alone with mopol...lol
Celebrities › Re: Davido Reacts To Tweet About Losing Son To Another Man According To Igbo Culture by Armaggedon: 11:43am On Feb 25, 2020
If you get pregnant and delivers in your mothers house, the child belongs to your father.

If you eventually get married, your father may either keep your child or hand you over to your husband with your child. That is if your husband is ready and kind enough to father the child.

If you get married to a lady while pregnant the child definitely belong to you, not her father not to talk of the person responsible for the pregnancy.

If you get pregnant for another man in your husband's house and your husband is "over kind" to pardon such abomination, the child belongs to him your husband. This is Igbo tradition.

I smh for some people citing cases to over rule tradition. Tradition is law, culture as well as religion. Most of this things have spiritual implications.

Pls if you live in a normless society don't think it is so for others.

He thinks women are incubators owned by the father and then sold to her husband so any offspring before the "sale" means the father has the right.

These misogynist should go try their luck before a Judge and be shocked
Matters haven't gotten serious yet until another man marries the chioma girl. Davido has no Legal basis to claim the child of a girl who still lives under her parents. If he does that then that is not different from a rapist coming back to claim the fruit of his rape. funny you're rather the person who see women as incubators for random men. the same thing Igbo tradition protects them from.
Politics › Re: Port-harcourt Is Igweocha! What Is The Yoruba Name Of Lagos? by Armaggedon: 10:41am On Feb 24, 2020
Lagos does not belong to Yoruba's. Yoruba's are only laying claims to it. Op your answer is simple, they have no in name for what is supposed to be their own. It present name is Portuguese, it native name is Edo, its traditional throne is Edo whose original title is eleko of eko. it is also worthy of note that Lagos has never been in the same political/administrative unit with Yoruba speaking people. During the colonial era it was a separate protectorate, during the regional govt it was the capital of Nigeria, even during the 2014 confab they opted to be a region independent of SW. while it appear to be in same geopolitical zone with the Yoruba's presently, it is worthy to note that geopolitical zones are not in the constitution and have no legal significance.

You regret??! Like your birth was your own choosing... Please sir, stop dwelling in self pity. There are citizens of worse nations, some are even refugees. You won't hear them regretting being from those nations.

The major problem with most of us here is the need to shift blames, look for easy way out of everything, eventually looking for a ready made nation to parasite on. For how long can we keep this up??! How far can we all run??!

I agree with Sowore and Kanu on one thing... We have got to unite and take back this country from all these bigoted and thieving elders!!!

op I am sure you have come with a stupid Igbo bashing thread but you are inadvertently displaying your ignorance.

Adaka boro was a fool who could be likened to Mohammed Yusuf of first book haram. he woke up one day without a plan, without an ideology, without plausible grievances, and took up arms against the army. Of course you don't expect the government to keep quiet. I am sure he would have been executed if he did that under Hausa Fulani but ironsi commuted his death sentence to prison terms and the same fool who who claimed he was seeking for freedom then joined to enslave his people under Hausa Fulani during the civil war. Even his Hausa Fulani co conspirators had to kill him during the end cos they apparently knew he was unstable and couldn't be trusted.

To be clear, the area he sought to make a country was ijawland, the present day Bayelsa, not 'south south'.

He claimed the place was being neglected. This is only partially true because oil production wasn't significant during the period. Before oil discovery, it was coal in Igboland that formed the major resource for the region and the country yet Igbo's didn't shout. He never claim they were excluded. in fact he was an sub president in unn. He never claimed anything was given to people with relevant qualification that was denied them.

The Eze and lolo are both hardcore IPOB members, KANU is the king in waiting. Without them there will rather be no funeral. It is the police that needs steer clear.

That's like asking a priest to leave a service so that the service can hold in peace.
