i very much share your fears too about his safety. however, i thought about the following,

shouldnt his lawyer raise alarm if he looses contact with him? his lawyer told BBC that they planned to eliminate him. according to him they shot at the parlour, rooms and cars. who briefed the lawyer about those things? dont you think if the lawyer isnt in contact with him he would have raised serious alarm.
Again, the day IPOB was called a terrorist group by the dhq, channels tv spoke with someone who identified himself as kanu's brother, but in my guess the voice was most certainly that of Kanu. Infact, most of the things he said and his confidence showed it was him.

I am neither an IPOB nor an APGA member but i must confess I am one of Obiano's biggest fans. however if boycotting the election will bring the much needed Biafra , so be it.
btw, even if the election is boycotted Obiano will still be governor till March 2018. before then i am sure agreement must have been reached. it is important the boycott is successful b'cos it will make the govt appreciate the reality of the struggle. it will challege other states in Igboland not to betray the struggle and the realization that similar fate awaits them in other states will make FG hasten what ever decision they'll take.
