Dream25: More than half of my Igbo friends in school then can't speak Igbo but speak Yoruba fluently, why Una like lie like this??..
Some even identify with Yoruba than Igbo.. Come and see nifemi, Oluwabusayo bearing Igbo girls... They flaunt their Yoruba name with pride... yea...we only hear about Igbo girls bearing Yoruba names from anonymous Yoruba nairaland members. Isn't that credible? Truth is that when it comes to language capabilities, Igbos are the most sophisticated in the country. |

opamoses1: Outside Alaigbo, Igbos don't like to speak their language. Reno is just saying what people already know. that's not true at all Igbo is very widely spoken among fellow Igbos in Lagos and Abuja. Igbo population is increasing in Abuja and you know what that means. There is virtually no Igbo person in Nigeria who speaks another language without knowing how to speak Igbo. Infact, you'll start hearing Igbo language from places like Adoka in Benue state when coming to Igboland from the north. While Rivers is Igbo majority, About half of the minority population can speak Igbo, including the current governor. This is also same with Delta state. Itshekiri his own ethnic group are a minority among minorities, being minority among minority senatorial District called Delta south. They barely control a local government area and their language is now extinct but he sleeps and wakes up thinking about Igbos, his Lords. |

It is elders like you who are not satisfied deceiving themselves alone. They must deceive the naive, ignorant and younger Igbos also. UNESCO prediction is about Nigerian languages in general not a particular language. |

MrProlific95: Seun Osewa should stop all this Anti Jewish Comments/Monikers on Nairaland.
NLAnd went down because they allowed several Anti Jews threads/bashing of Jews on nairaland.
All those Domperignon , Antibalaka etc threads pushing Anti Jews threads should be removed Asap.
Let them beware. Nairaland was not brought down because of your usual anti Igbo, Anti Yoruba, Anti North ethnic slurs, it was brought down for Antisemitism- Anti Jews, Anti Israel Threads and Comment's. not exactly true. Engaging in tribal banters such as saying Igbos are this and that is different from allowing a moniker called Igbosmustdie and GodhatesIgbos. Other monikers are godhatesjews, jewsmustdie hitlerwasright These are disturbing names |

He simply said they are free to bless them because everyone deserves God's blessings and he hopes that would make them change their ways. People should stop distorting facts. Blessings gay couples means approving gay marriage without making Africans like you angry. |

SoNature: Seun, clean up this forum.
People on X kept saying that you should fire Mynd44. That's if you aren't the person behind the moniker.
I don't understand how someone could be a moderator and still be taking tribal perspective on issues. I even thought I was the only person who noticed it.
Block all accounts that call ladies unprintable names and block female monikers that denigrate males. They should take their madness elsewhere.
Use IP addresses to block a bunch of people who rarely make reasonable contributions without getting tribalistic, attacking Igbos, Yorubas and Northerners.
It's high time you took what happens here more seriously! how are you sure he is not the one behind that moniker? The same mynd44 that was caught engaging in ethnic banters and he quickly deleted it and locked the thread? Such an audacity can only come from the owner of the site. Again, who approved the anti-Igbo advert from sanwoolu in the wake of Lagos governorship election? Who pushes Reno Omokiri's ethnic profiling to front-page? |

CASTOSVILLA: Sometimes I wonder if my people are really as wise and smart as we claim to be. How can you continuously crumble the economy of your home to protest for the release of your son MNK. We've done this for the longest of time and it's not yielding any result because other regions of the country are not feeling it and do not care! Many of our brothers and sisters cannot relate with this useless protest because they prefer Nigeria and not Biafra.
In my opinion:: the best way to go about this is to hold our leaders accountable using force if necessary in our respective states. Chanel all our resources to the East, develope it more and create for ourselves those amenities that the government at the center has failed to deliver on. Rid ourselves of the bad eggs and improve the security of our region.
Simon Ekpa and his boys must be eradicated for peace to reign in Igbo land and with this mindset, other regions will take us seriously and also see the positive nature of our struggle.
Let's stop this NZOGBU NZOGBU attitude that we have, it's not helping us at home and beyond.
I come in peace ✌️ GDP figures released show that the states under the so called sit at home are doing better than your own states. Food price inflation figures show things are relatively cheaper in the so-called sit at home region. It is Infact your region that has proven to be unproductive. Why don't you get a life? |

Objectivist04: Sometimes I am tempted to doubt these reports, how can kogi an agrarian and poor state record the highest food inflation in the country, we should have asked what factor is driving the price higher in kogi, is it because most food is imported ? And no Is it because kogi is difficult to access ? Ans. on the contrary kogi is the easiest state to access in Nigeria as it shares boundaries with 10 states and the FCT Ok, is it that kogites have high purchasing power ? The answer is no , they don't
So what could be responsible for high cost of food in an agrarian kogi state ? landmass people. Kogi is bigger than southeast east put together bla bla bla. But Anambra has double of Kogi agricultural output with many areas uncultivated. |
