KINGwax: Kill yourself. Nokia na pupsie! At least, they make phones available to those who aint dreamin of it. With that phone less than 10k, your stupid android can't tell the user he's a no-no. I've seen me guys who use nice pads and tablets, but rely on simple nokia for calls and battery life! I'm a symbian fan, but i think i'm going for d windows now. At least, that's like a laptop for me. With the power point and microsoft word. Office things on the move! Yea, simple nokia phones are only for making calls. 21st century people want more functions on a phone than making calls. Even a line phone can do that. BTW other smart phone have all the Microsoft office applications. |

manny4life: Nigeria hasn't recorded, STOP MISLEADING PEOPLE. SLS is bent on trying to cover his inefficiency and incapacity, his struggling to maintain the status quo, so he will achieve it at all cost. If at this time, all Nigeria can boast of is $100million (N16billion)FDI, and that's it? Compare that that to the outflows of what others are investing in other countries (Africa for instance), I think the outflow is greater than the inflow. N16billion FDI, from South Africa ALONE is what I saw. Go back and check. And STOP MISLEADING PEOPLE. |

Politics › Re: Mimiko Blasts Tinubu: "My Three And Half Years Is Better Than Your 8 Years" by asala1: 11:13pm On Oct 07, 2012 |
xtayle: Tinubu did not fail at all. Development cannot be accomplished in totality or absolutely. It is continuous and that is what we see in Lagos. Tinubu met Lagos in shambles taking over from the military. Everything you see Fashola doing, majority of it were planned by the Tinubu administration. From road networks to BRT to health to adverts, etc. BRT Buses was already paid for b4 Fashola took over. We would actually have seen more if that wicked OBJ had allowed d new LG creation to go through. Even when he kicked against it, Tinubu became creative and pragmatic in d face of d situation. He looked inward and improved upon IGR which Fashola is enjoying now. Fashola is enjoying a good foundation built by Tinubu.
People say he's a thief and I agree because there is no clean politician. However, I prefer his stealing precedence whereby he's stealing and has something to show for it. Within a year in office, Amosun and Ajimobi are commissioning roads. There is free education and super agric programme in osun under Aregbesola. Despite the foundation build by Adefarati and Agagu, what did Mimiko do? Which road did he commission? Agagu that we all complained about performed better than Mimiko. Mimiko attempted to revive farm settlement and engage graduates. When they complained of poor facilities, he shut it down. He built his hospital project around pregnant women in about 2 places instead of a health policy. Is he saying women in Labour should travel to Akure from 18 different LGs? Same for his Mega School. About 14 LGs are left out.
I wonder why he want us to accept mediocrity for performance. Celebrating Event centre and water fountain while markets he built are empty and its suppose to be done by LGs. He usurped the duties and functions of LGs by not allowing LG elections in the state. A LG receives about N95m a month an there are 18 of them which makes it about N1.7bn a month. Ondo state gets about N8bn a month which puts federal allocation income at about N10bn per month apart from IGR and Loans. What did Mimiko do with it? There is practically nothing on ground. Even Baba Adefarati created jobs. He set up SEHICO with about half a billion naira out of the meagre income he had. He constructed several roads and started a university.
If Mimiko think Tinubu is his mate, he's making a big mistake. Tinubu has seen money before he came into politics. He has built several men of national anf international exposure along the line. Despite all the opportunity Mimiko has, how many loyal Men has he brought up. From 3 time commissioner to SSG to federal minister and now Governor. We only know Dr. Pius and Prof. Mimiko his Brother.
Mimiko is not a good man home and abroad. I wonder how he managed to win an election. What Tinubu is doing is simple. He's saying if the rest of the country is not ready for development, let the south west integrate and develop our region. Let have out own source of reliable power, transport, refinery, health, education, industry etc. This requires cooperation but Mimiko is scared of accountability. Is oshiomale being controlled by Tinubu as well? We should quit being deceived by Mimiko
He did not perform. Simple. I don't know about Tinubu. I live in akure and work in Osun state, and I belive that Mimiko is better than any govenor in South-West nigeria except Lagos State. If the FG can adopt some of its health programmes, children will not be dying the way they are now. I am not from Ondo state but i didn't destroy my voter's card because of him. Am a living witness of his good governace. |

AmBeautiful: Sincerely, i think that the government was too much in a hurry to lift Dana's suspension!
Many of us supporting the lifting of the ban are doing so, because you didn't loose a loved one in that flight! If you did you no go talk too much.
I think it is too soon to do this!
Because from all evidence seen, read, and gotten so far all fingers points to Dana as the cause of the crash!
Do you know if all families have collected the bodies of the loved one they lost? (to me this is the most important thing).
How about the concluding parts of the investigation ? .
Those supporting the lifting how would you feel if you lost someone so dear to you on that flight, you have not recovered the body, you don't even know what happened, only to hear this.
In my opinion, even if business should be done without emotions, wisdom should be applied too. The government should have waited at least till the end of this year and till things have wrapped up a little bit before doing this. This is corruption at work and am saying this with all BOLDNESS and without any EMOTIONAL SENTIMENTS!
It is too soon TO HAVE LIFTED THE SUSPENSION ON DANA! Seriously, it is only in Nigeria that I have heard that an airlines is banned for flying because of an accident. Why should they be banned when it has not been proven that they were at fault. It is just like sending someone to jail for murder before proven guilty. It is wrong in the first place. |
Travel › Re: FG Lifts Suspension On Dana Air by asala1: 9:21pm On Sep 05, 2012 |
take dat: Initially the aviation minister said the plane crashed due to negligence on the part of DANA.This is enough excuse to revoke their license for life but FG doesnt value the lives of its citizens hence without waiting for the final report of the black box investigation they went ahead to restore their operating license How will the minister know when there was no investigation then. Everybody is just shouting non-sense here. The fact that they had a crash does not stop them from flying again. Will that bring the dead back? How many people have died from road transporter? And they are all still carrying passengers everyday. |
