PoliticsI Don’t Want Cameron’s Apology, But Return Of Stolen Money- Buhari by ascendo(op): 11:56am On May 11, 2016
President Muhammadu Buhari has said that he would not be demanding any apology from British Prime Minister, Mr. David Cameron over his diplomatic gaffe, describing Nigeria, along with Afghanistan as ‘fantastically corrupt’.
President Buhari said instead, he would demand action from Cameron, by returning Nigeria’s stolen money and assets stashed in the United Kingdom. Buhari made his frustration clear as he addressed a Commonwealth conference in London Wednesday morning in the wake of Mr Cameron’s diplomatic gaffe.

Clutching a glass as he made small talk with the Queen at a Buckingham Palace reception, the PM was caught on camera being indiscreet about the countries he had invited to a key anti-corruption summit tomorrow. The Presidency and several other Nigerians, have however, lashed back at the British PM for that scathing remark. This came as the Presidency, yesterday, expressed ‘shock’ at the unguarded comment, saying that Cameron must have been looking at an old snapshot of Nigeria. However, the president Wednesday morning refused to criticise Cameron directly when he was asked about the blunder at the conference. Instead he said he expected the UK to help him reclaim Nigerian assets that had been fraudulently stripped from the country. Buhari said: “I am not going to demand an apology from anybody. What I am demanding is a return of assets … This is what I am asking for. What would I do with an apology? I need something tangible.”

Earlier, Commonwealth Secretary General Baroness Scotland said Mr Cameron’s remarks had been ‘unfortunate’ and countries like Nigeria needed support rather than criticism. Mr Cameron’s candid comments risked causing diplomatic ructions ahead of the major international anti-corruption summit in London on Thursday. As well as Buhari, and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani is due to attend. He has also acknowledged corruption in his country and pledged to clean it up. The gathering of the world’s political and business leaders in London will aim to ‘galvanise a global response to tackle corruption’ and is being staged in the wake of the Panama Papers leak, which revealed widespread tax avoidance among the world’s elite earlier this year. Afghanistan is at number 166 in campaign group Transparency International’s latest Corruption Perceptions Index – second from bottom.
Only North Korea and Somalia, jointly ranked at number 167, are perceived to be more corrupt. Nigeria is at number 136.

PoliticsRe: [VIDEO] David Cameron Describes Nigeria As A Fantastically Corrupt Country by ascendo(m): 7:58pm On May 10, 2016
I'm not suprised: when PMB went to Chattam house to seek for sympathy by telling them how corrupt Nigeria is; what else do you expect? They don't live with us here so can only make their inference from the description our righteous president has been giving them. He'll go to any country to tell them how he inherited empty treasury cus of corruption of PDP which is d corruption of Nigeria; which is his own corruption as well. Only God will salvage our international reputation... very soon; it will be difficult to get Benin republic 'visa'.

When the Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo made a claim last week that PDP did not construct any single New Road throughout their 16 infamous years in power... Some people who are yet to recover from their political miscalculation in the last election, came for his head, branding him a liar and also circulated pictures of less than 150 Km REHABILITATED Benin-Ore as their Only defence...

However, that is not the basis of this thread.
I am from the South Eastern Part of the Country and one of the most neglected regions of the country by the past governments...

These roads I am going to unveil thus, lead directly to my State from other parts of the contra, depending on the route one chooses to ply...But unfortunately the roads are in a very bad and unmotorable state...

There is no way one will pass thru these roads without dropping and heaping curses on the past governments, especially goodLUCK EBELE Azikiwe Jonathan, our adopted Son, in whom we hugely supported and still being regarded as our best...

Take a look at these Pictures:

1. Onitsha- Enugu- Portharcourt Expressway

2. Aba-Ikot-Ekpene-Uyo Expressway..
you are already cursed! Why not fly to your village? Nonsense: Jonathan was the first Nigerian President.

Is there any as mighty as him
Our prince with integrity
Our land has he come to redeem
From the monsters of poverty.

The ladies call him their boo
For he is endearing to them
Even the older women too
They gladly bear his emblem.

Our prince is relentless
In that which he believes
He fought and was tireless
Now, in our hearts, he lives.

He is the hope of our land
The sun we sought to shine
Change trails his command
We know, we've seen the sign!

Who is like our prince of Daura
Our mighter conquerer
Our dear redeemer
May he reign longer!"

RomanceRe: I'm Pregnant; My Boyfriend Wants Abortion by ascendo(m): 9:32pm On Jan 24, 2016
You said it all... thats the best thing to do! Talk to your mum first...she will help you with a sloution
Decker:
It's always yoadvisable that if you want to engage in premarital sex, you should endeavor to use protection always. Asides preventing you from getting pregnant it also protects against STDs.
It was your first sex and the smart thing would have been for both you and the guy to use protection, but you didn't and now you are facing the consequences.

I am going to be honest with you. It's not right to abort children. It's religiously and morally wrong. It's murder and it's not right.
Asides for the fact that abortion is wrong, it can also be detrimental to the health of the lady and sometimes it could be fatal. So I won't advice you to abort the pregnancy. Besides this isn't a decision you should take on your own.

You just gonna have to tell your parents. That's the best thing. They are not going to kill you. They would scold you and probably punish you, but they still love you and have your interest at heart. Talk to your mum. Present the matter to her in a mature way, and be prepared for what would come after that. She would get mad and angry and emotional, but after few days, she would come along. She is a woman like you. If after you present the matter to your parents and they insist you abort it, then you have no choice. You aren't going to raise the child alone. But I don't think they would. I don't think any parent would want their child to abort a pregnancy.
If they tell you to keep it, I am sure they would proffer ideas and solutions on how you would go about the whole pregnancy issue including sorting things out with the guy who impregnated you.

You made a mistake, I get it. Everyone makes mistakes at some point in their lives, what's important is that we all learn from these mistakes. Don't worry, it's all right. Everything is okay.

You are just 21 and you have your whole life in front of you. Don't let this discourage you in anyway. It's just a little set back, but don't let it stand as a hindrance to you striving to achieve your dreams and goals in life.

It's alright. smiley
