shachris: True and biafra would not change that. we need massive civic education in Nigeria to enlighten us on what we must do to ensure that this nation moves forward.
Have we ever demanded accountability from your federal representatives?
Have we stopped worshipping thieves because they dash us some of their loots?
Have we stopped giving and receiving bribes?
How much commitments have we shown on the government jobs that we are given.
Have we protested in anyway to show our displeasure with certain government policies? I am not for Biafra especially as it is being presently canvassed for but I find it hilarious that those countering it are they themselves not ready to sacrifice for a much better nigeria you and I inclusive...your third paragraph is apt with athread I argued with you recently |

Anytime we are serious about addressing the issues that Nigeria is bedeviled with, Nigeria would work then. that means Nigeria will not work in the nearest future because a whole lot of us are hypocrites and quite frankly know nothing about nation building |

These days, any group that wants to establish a university in Imo state, Rochas promises the group N100 million and land approval, provided the site is not anywhere near Orlu. what you wrote hear seems far fetched to be honest |

As for the talk about other people putting up the billboards, trust me, no one would put that up if the governors don't support it. I am not sure he expected the backlash that came with the first one..i wonder if this one was done at the same time with the other one or was done after..i think rochas suffers from a bit of narcissism |

SINGAPORE united with other former British territories to form Malaysia, from which it was expelledtwo years later through a unanimous act of parliament. Are they not still existing and better of?
THAILAND? A country currently under a military junta?WHY was there a coup d'etat? Let me digress a little...
MALYSIA came here and took Palm nut and now they are the highest exporter of it. Why so? Because a certain set of leaders believe in sucking crude. And they can't even maintain their refineries because of their ulterior motive of constructing theirs to refine and then sell back to their own country.

GeneralShepherd: So Lions are more important than kids starving in Zimbabwe? Let's be real, humans need to be alive before we bother about lions.
The whole western media is reporting the death of a lion but ignore dying humans. Where's the love? have you made enough noise to get their attention?do you even need their attention to solve internal issues?our salvation lies in us not the western countries...western countries are bothered about animals getting extinct because their societies are largely sane when it comes to their own human surving issues but we here in Africa are hardly bothered about the sanity of our societies because we put personal interests about societal interests..the west is not going to help you when you are not ready to help yourself..it even benefits them if we are always in constant chaos..if we want to really help ourselves nothing can stop us..we should lead from asians that where in a similar situation we are now decades back |

GeneralShepherd: It is clear that the Nigerian police clearly do not understand their sworn duties and responsibilities.
Today an unarmed individual was shot and killed in cold blood at Ariari market. It breaks my heart because I may be next or my friend. Since, I was a kid I hear of these indiscriminate killings by the police every week. When will the siege on the Nigerian people by those entrusted with the duty of protecting them end? When! Fucking when!!
More alarming is how the whole world ignores police brutality in Nigeria but are so concerned about a useless lion shot dead. I DON'T CARE IF ALL THE LIONS IN AFRICA ARE SHOT DEAD. African lives fucking matter, Nigerian lives matter not lions or elephants.
I also call on people to remain law abiding and apply pressure on the system within the lawful means of their constitutional rights.
Please let us not give in to emotions and give the unprofessional Nigerian security forces more reason to waste lives.
Nigeria must change its our only home
#reformthepolice funny guy.. I guess you do not care about ecological balance that is why you wouldn't care if all the lions are wiped out by humans..you might be thinking that God or nature as the case may be was stupid to put animals on earth...and mind you it was the locals that made their feelings known to the world about that lion before the work took them serious but here in naija it is taking as a norm if a police man kills someone with accidental discharge...nobody helps you until you are ready to help yourself |

If Owerri can host as much as 100 universities I will like it because it will help in developing the economy of the state and visitors will be always available to spend on hotels, eateries, shops, museums, house rent and other things that help in boasting the economy of a state.
Las Vegas is fuelled by gambling and other illicit acts so if Owerri economy is fueled by educational institutions it will be a welcomed development as well. my problem is whether more institution around owerri will not cone with its own prevailing Nigerian vices?I am not against springing up of uni in Imo but in owerri...let other parts of the state harbour other institutions abagoro where exactly in owerri is this protea being constructed because I have searched google and there is no word about it...not sure if Hilton has started there's too |

AnambraDota: Chaiiiiiiiiii
Anam ekooooo
Owerri don't need jumping from one country to another another seeking for investors, the best thing is for the government to develop tourism and ICT and see Owerri take over.
Oil is down, serious minded governments are pushing for sustainable development, what we need is for 2 more higher institutions around Owerri, make the roads accessible and clean up the city.
Imo rich should leverage on this opportunity, Imo can't be viable as a commercial and industrial state because she inbetween Aba and Onitsha rather she leverage on what those two states lack and open up herself for massive inflow of cash.
One beautiful thing with Owerri is that those that will be fueling the economy don't have to reside here, they will always trooupe in during weekends and festive seasons.
What is required now to make Owerri take her pride of place is similar thing Enugu need to take over Eastern economy. Invest in tourism, ICT and transportation, organize events that will always attract visitors like Mbari Festival, New Yam Festival, create Owerri City Carnival, Fashion Shows, Education Fairs, Golf Tourneys, build Cinemas and Shopping Malls...do these and watch Owerri explode I dont think more tertiary institution is needed in owerri..existing 4 is enough and they just need to be upgraded and high standards enforced with ict departments functioning |
