Are u mad?

And to think he was selected as a substitute for Steven Keshi based on his igbo roots.

They might as well hand the coach to Celestine Babayaro since the pacification for Keshi removal is not igbo.
errr i doubt he was selected because of his roots..let us be factual here

I still find it difficult wrapping my head round this: how can one of the most enlightened people in Africa be so easily hoodwinked by a scammer in the person of nnamdi Kanu by mere sitting in a studio in London and talking absolute thrash.
Its not as if we are talking of hundreds of almajiris; this is a region with several thousand degree holders and several millions with at least a school cert;that got exposed to the whiteman's use of common sense and logical reasoning. How is it possible that even a thousand, talk less of several thousands can key into that albinos's scam?!
problem is how many of those certificate enlightend guys still live in the region to spread the elightenment?

Please do not cling to your ignorant beliefs. I was making a statement not arguing. I have family members that come from Oshimili-side and friends from kwale. Wtf? They don't go with all your biafra jazz. And many make a point of saying they are Ibo, not Igbo.
what is the difference btw igbo and ibo if i may ask in this situation!

Hi, yes there are many pure undiluted itsekiri friends with igbolike names.
To.ju Chib.uzor O.ge.le you can add this guy up on fb and ask him questions.
There are many others that I've seen in the past. My brother's wife is Itsekiri and her name is Ifean.yi or Wunmi, her brother too has one long igbolike name and also a long yorubaish name.

Infact all itsekiri's I've seen have both igbolike and yorubalike names but many tend to keep the igbolike name on a low key for obvious reasons.

Not hear to argue tribes sha...just sharing my own experiences as it relates with the topic.
if their mum is not igbo then you are high on cheap weed because itsekiri has nothing to do with igbos and their identity has never being in conflict with igbos...keeping igbo on the low key indeed

I love you my akwaibom wife...muuuuuuuaaaaaah!!!
If Oliseh say's he is not igbo, that he is ika....why don't u respect him as an Ika man?

Ika can be part of Biafra if they choose to but if they decide to be called ika people rather than igbo people I feel its best they are respected and identified as who they are.

The itsekiris for example answer both igbo and yoruba names,....does that make them yoruba or igbo?...NO, they are itsekiris....
The Ika people cant come out tomorrow to say all other igbos are Ika and not igbo...I'm sure igbos from imo, abia, anambra, enugu and ebonyi won't accept such pronouncement from the Ika people.

My view, just respect people for who they choose to be....don't call them something else....
give me an eg of an itsekiri answering igbo name

The few times that I have read your comments especially on the Igbo issue, I can see that you are one who uses logic. It's not safe to say most Delta Igbos deny being Igbo. It is safe to say that people from the Ika and Ukwuani axis are the ones who majorly deny being Igbo but not people from Aniocha and Oshimili. Okocha for instance will not come and tell you that he is not Igbo but Sunday Oliseh can do that and they are both from Delta state.
that is why i am suprised at the comments of suprises i see here...it is like expecting delta governor to say he is igbo or expecting don jazzy to say he is not igbo when both are seen as delta igbos...it is difficult seeing anyone from ika or ukwuani admitting he is igbo

But what do you advocate? smiley
I am not really a power expert but I believe that any power generation plant built should take care of the distribution area it was sited..like if this larfarge power plant is built in an area under ikeja distribution area then all the power generated in the plant should distributed within ikeja distribution area..this will help minimize or eliminate power loss if it was to be sent to 'central national grid ' as is being practised now

Probably not by much, to be honest.
but at least, it will create a few jobs for the locals......
In my opinion, i think some of the power is meant for lafarge's plant and other industrial complexes in the area, while the surplus will be fed into the grid.... Either way, it brings some development to the area.
if that is the case then good but this present national grid system does not seem good

LRNZH:
[b]I don't know Bakare personally but what you have been spewing on this thread is of an extremist hue. You seem to be describing an elephant from studying the tail only.

In the issue of Biafra you raised, I dear say that the Igbos who support it are myopic (with due respect).
Firstly, the problems that have plagued Nigeria will not go away in a Biafra comprised of Igbo extractions only or a SS/SE combination. The same players that have underdeveloped the Igbo nation will do same to Biafra.
Secondly, the process of setting up Biafra will be hijacked by a cabal once it appears to be doable.
Finally, the Igbo republican nature of every man and his chi for himself, and to take advantage of the next guy if you can will lead to a disunited nation just like the SE is today as a political bloc.

The recent pro Biafra movement is weakening the Igbos political yardage in Nigeria. Instead of working on a coalition that will strategically place it in the 2019 and beyond rounds of power sharing, it is losing energy on a project that will not benefit it as a group of people.

If the Igbos insist on Biafra, I think they should get it but it will do no one much good on the long run.

PoliticsRe: Lets Think Before Taking The Biafra Issue Further, By Chidi Obi by asha80(m): 11:19am On Aug 02, 2015
zendy:
This Chidi Obi who wrote this rubbish is an Igbo man who doesn't know anything about where he comes from. There are many Igbos who were born or raised in other parts of Nigeria like Lagos, kaduna and Abuja who are like that. The only thing of interest he said was about not making Biafra an Igbo affair which is very important because the minorities of the SS must carried along. The rest of what he said is complete nonsense. He said that Igbos are marginalised in Nigeria but does not want to admit that Biafra is the best way to end Igbo marginalisation forever. He said that Igbos have helped develop Nigeria and we should leave Nigeria after our all our contributions to the Nigerian state but he doesn't want admit that charity begins at home. Igbos should be developing their home land and one of the biggest motivations for this is the emergence of Biafra. He said that Igbos don't have any industrial base whatsoever. Is this guy for realhuh I challenge anybody to refute the fact that after Lagos, Anambra state has the largest industrial base in Nigeria. This Chidi guy should go to see the largest market in west Africa at Onitsha and the industrial sophistication of Nnewi then come and tell us what he thinks. He said that Igbos are landlocked. Someone buy this guy a map! PortHarcourt is an Igbo city. A world class seaport can be built in Oguta in Imo state. Anither tributary runs from Abia state into the Athlantic Ocean. People like Chidi Obi still think small, that's why he can't see past Nigeria to the huge potentials of the future Biafra.
errm some issues are at dispute here

Ph being an Igbo city is in dispute(okrika and hardcore ikwerre people have something to say about that)

A river port can be built in oguta not a seaport..they are different.

No country is without problems but they work hard at solving it. Nigeria must begin with tackling corruption on its way to realising its full potential and prosperity!
tackle the structure that support corruption then tackle corruption..first let upturn federalism that we have turn on its head in this country..a country that is structured to consume and share instead to produce and innovate will make little advancement no matter how you want to fight corruption

Use google. Just elementary science.
the relationship I saw on google was how refining of coal techniques was used in the beginning as technique for refining oil..however in the op's write he says absence of coal was the reason why the refineries were not working
So my question is how coal is used in the refinery process of crude oil?is it in the heating process of fractional distillation?

angelberton:
Chidi Obi has reasoned with originality devoid of clouded eyes, unlike the uninformed internet warriors and market traders being manipulated by MASSOB and Kanu who is living fat off the generous donations made by sympathisers.

In truth, there is hardly any corner of Nigeria that an Ibo man has no property or business. The aggregates of these run into hundreds of billions of dollars. There are inter-marriages across virtually every tribe or ethnicity. Should the Ibos who are doing very well across the length and breath of Nigeria, except for Boko Haram which affects all Nigerians, leave and go back to Igbo land and start afresh? I foresee untold hardship even if that can be achieved, which I doubt.

Ibos are the chief architects of their marginalisation in Nigeria. There is a conflict of loyalty! Are Ibos Biafrans or Nigerians? Many of them call themselves biafrans. Nigerians will never vote for a biafran to be president of Nigeria.

Ibos are either biafrans or Nigerians. There are no two ways to it. Either to accept the obvious that they are part and parcel of Nigeria and fight for their rights within a prosperous Nigeria or engage in a fruitless 'freedom fight' for biafra. The choice is theirs to make and to live with its consequences.
question is nigeria a prosperous country?are the people who make up nigeria REALLY interested in a prosperous and working Nigeria instead of personal aggrandizement?
