MalcoImX: In this case, as in many others, a non-Igbo complains and next you have hordes descending on the North, as if they're waiting for the kill. have you ever though what comments would flood this thread if the story was that a northerner was harrased in a bus in Onitsha like what happened to the op?your guess is as good as mine |

Chiwude: Obiano is doing a wonderful job by diversifying the economy of Anambra. Just like someone said, the completion of the Onitsha mall as well as both the Nnewi and Awka mall will put the state in the circle of world business activities. However, I don't buy the idea of concentrating much development to one zone (Anambra north) as proposed by Obiano. You cannot have a commercial airport, a refinery/petro-chemical hub as well as the Agro belt of the state in close proximity. It may brew conflict of interest. actually at present minus Onitsha anambra north is the least developed part of anambra state. |

MalcoImX: But here it's done by IgboMonk and the usual suspects. all I am trying to say is that they up north do not need any prompting to unleash there acts and also it is not only Igbo that engage in the act of what you are accusing them off |

MalcoImX: And only in this thread you find: | "...almajiric fools." "Those fools ..." "... their madness." "The Hausa ...hate southerners." "...the northerners behaving like animals." "Northern brainless youths." "Gambari." "Gambari Muslims." "Mad Gambaris ..." "...callous animals." | Look at the provocations just in one thread, and they're always quick to play the victim. and how do you determine that all the people that wrote those are igbos?let me let you into a secret, most igbos do not call the northerners gambari's as that name is not embedded in the average Igbo persons brain...there are other words igbos use..we know the people that use that gambari word unconsciously...i am sure you know too |

bokohalal: Agree I should have said MOST. Miss World was because an Igbo said Prophet Mohammed would have loved the contestants. Akaluka(?) used the Koran as wipes. The unforgettable and unforgivable history of killing other ethnic political leaders but their own in 1966. MalcoImX: Before, during and after the war. my friend you have no point..you just want to use Igbo as scapegoat..just blame the Igbo man...i guess it was also the igbos that caused the 1953 kano riot which most igbos were affected because awolowo came to campaign in kano...i guess the person that drew that danish cartoon must have been of Igbo descent |

(3) was Akpabio Godswill not a stooge of Obong Victor Attah? Please visit Anambra and see for yourself what Obiano the so called Peter Obi's toy/stooge is doing in that great state. Bros, count on Ikpeazu,he is the saviour we desire at this moment. Goat and fowl know that Alex will fail woefully as a governor. Say yes to Professor Ikpeazu, say yes to freedom. Son of the soil must fix Aba aand Abis will be better. Alex is pure 419 just like Orji Uzor Kalu and the rest of you. Nwafor Ngwa or you go and die. cjrane: That is the million dollars question!
In the light of the projected fall in revenue due to low oil price, it may be wise to prioritize which of the malls gets finished first. Perhaps, the Onitsha Mall should be focused on and completed this year. While the Nnewi and Awka malls will be the center of focus next year and completed too. well I guess the governor should know what he is doing especially with the flag off of a lot of road projects in recent times |

OreMI22: It is heart breaking to see AVOP in that state. All the companies jointly owned by the old Anambra state have been allowed to rot. From NigerCem, Niger steel , AVOP or ANAMMCO.
I think these factories should be completely sold to private investors so that they can be useful to the unemployed youths and continue to add to the economy of the state and the country. anamco has gone private |

spyder880: The road to the company is in perfect condition though. ....... this is the front of the company, courtesy of Barr Sullivan Chime. well the next governor needs to be aggressive in looking for an investor that would resuscitate the factory which would inturn aid the economy of the community and Enugu . |
Politics › Re: Enugu, The Pride Of The East. by asha80(m): 1:22pm On Jan 31, 2015 |
Abagworo: Very true. With the level of decay at AVOP I doubt investors would want to come in. Government needs to revamp it 1st and then look for investors to run it. an investor might risk coming to revamp it but a lot of money would have to be pumped in to rehabilitate te place and burnt infrastructure, some tax waiver has to be implemented and if not good the road infrastructure to the place has to be repaired and put in good condition |

omonnakoda: Why must they export
Build it na! Port that they did not build when oil was $100 is it at $40 they will build. Let them keep deceiving themselves. We need to develop an INTERNAL economy model. The ONLY reason for exporting is so as to IMPORT. If we reducee the need to import we reduce the need to export. Food clothes, medicines and building materials .Those should be our priorities for now.How do we industrialize to make those things that we can
The US economy depends 10% on exports. They are a large country with lots of resources so are we but we still import second bra and shimmy,Why? all these are rhetorics..the conjestion in apapa port needs to be reduced..traffic should be diverted to other places so they can also bear the burden of the country...i repeat if this your economic model is to be implemented which can be similar to what china once did then all ports in the country should be shut down |

Politics › Re: The Final Report On Ibom ( Nee Ibaka )sea Port In Akwa Ibom by asha80(m): 7:51am On Jan 31, 2015 |
omonnakoda: Importation is not the way to develop our economy or create jobs. Yes a port at that location would make sense if it is to be used for exports. To import first we musst earn the dollars and that is an oil dependency model.
Already the SE has many expert skilled shoemakers. What is government doint to enhance thei capabilities? Potentially with the rubber and leather resources in the country they can make enough shoes for our security services and even the whole country. What about furniture making or building materials ,who is making these things in Nigeria. What happened to the paper mill in that region or to TINAPA?
Jobs. That really is what we need. Not a new seaport to use for exporting jobs and our future to other manufacturing nations. Let us industrialize and move away from that IMPORTATION mentality build the port first then you can do others...so if the shoe makers want to export they should go to Lagos abi and conjest the port there instead of going to a place that is nearer to them...if what you wrote is your thinking then we can as well close down all Lagos ports and focus on 'creating jobs instead of exporting them'. |
