Politics › Re: The Game Behind The Poor Collection Of Inec Pvcs In Abia State by asha80(m): 5:03pm On Feb 24, 2015 |
selfemployed: politics is a game of power and interests. you get the power and use it to promote ur interests. sometimes how u get the power does not matter. do whatever u can do to get the power, and use it to promote ur interests. what u do to get d power is ur secret, cos it can only be effective if ur opponent is not aware of it. once he bcomes aware, he counters ur moves.
here in abia state, there r two major players in the game of politics. 1. chinedum orji (ikuku). he is d son of the present gov. 2. alex otti. former md diamond bank and gov aspirant from apga
when u observe what is happening in the poor collection of pvc here, u may be tempted to blame jega- the inec chiarman, and accuse him of working with apc to disenfranchise pdp strongholds. but when u observe closely, u may see it as a game. yes- a game by pdp to disenfranchise d masses from voting apga.
here is what i mean: it could be possible that pdp is aware that the masses are in love with alex otti and will vote for him in d election and decide to deny them the power to vote by not letting them get their pvc. lets say they carry d pvc meant for umuahia to ohafia and that meant for ohafia to aba. meanwhile they will make sure every registered pdp member gets his or her pvc. hw will the masses now vote d candidate of their choice?
apc played the same game in lagos.... let the game continue... not sure how registered pdp members should be more than the masses no matter the disfranchisement....though I have always suspected that that 80percent collection rate for abia is not the whole story |

Ju kwa Rochas how often he takes Bp drugs for the mistake he made by dumping his people's mandate for Apc. Buhari is a virus according to Tinubu guy you should know that people generally vote for individuals rather than party in the east |

Lol, I told u it is not an Igbo name attached to human! lol any my issue is that iheanacho needs to do more to create his own awareness....i though he does not have the financial war chest of okorocha or even Ihedioha but everything is not really about money..i know he is liked but he needs to do more ..there is six more weeks and ge should grab this opportunity |

Ikengawo: yes, I do believe opening Igboland to immigrants will be a net good, but it's not as if it's currently closed to immigrants. People in Nigeria are simply afraid of Igbo people and we're surrounded by very mumutic tribes who idk what they're contribute. At best we should look to attract international immigrants.
Ghanians contributed a lot to the economy of until Buhari kicked them out of the country. just to correct something..it was shagari's regime that Ghana must go occurred |

However Idiga is known for his attraction of NDDC roads to Orlu area during the time of his personal friend Timi Alaibe while Uzodinma is a free giver. He helps the needy without requesting any form of pay back. Let Uzodinma go one more and then Idiga can succeed him in 2019. I am warming up for either governorship or Senate in 2023. I would renounce Imo state the day uzodinma becomes the governor of Imo state |

emmysoftyou: Bro,the relocation of imo state university would ve been a welcome development in the state cos it wil depopulate and reduce friction encounter in the state, ohakim instigated this ideas and refuse to execute it, the same with rochas too..
Bro dont yu think all these politicians re benefiting more on the present site of imsu in the heart of a town than relocating it to a remote village?.. Why re they slow towards the permanent site of imo state university, why? It s not only the hotelians re protesting against imsu permanent site, even the orji people, ugwu urrata, and especialy the orji people who re landlords and landladies re benefiting more frm imsu present site cos they rent their old houses and palaces for student to use. May God help us I will be the happiest person alive if imsu is relocated from its present..that would bring some sanity to aladinma estate...such a nuisance to that neighbourhood |

splashbaby: You can play the Ostrich as much as you like... The fact is Igbos are always having issues with Yorubas and Hausas , while Yorubas and Hausas are busy forging a bond that's strong enough to mend their differences...Igbos are busy widening the gaps at both fronts.
If you believe your own lies of being a great host to other ethnic tribes... good for you, however the results of your great hospitality are all over the place for all to see.
Anang people detest Igbos, so also the Ibibios, the Ikwere's still don't want a link to them. This are the reality... Igbos should check themselves on why they have difficulties with other ethnic tribes and not the reverse. like I said if you have problems with igbos admit it rather that dropping half truths |
Culture › Re: Top 10 Most Spoken Nigerian Languages by asha80(m): 7:24pm On Feb 12, 2015 |
splashbaby: You are the one deviating and derailing! I took bigfrancis on the religion issue he brought to the table... I never did. If you read my comments carefully in response to what he said concerning Igbos preference for certain religion sect which I doubt you ever did before rushing to show your ignorance on this issue. You realise my position on Igbos been a great host.
The large population of Hausas that bigfrancis claimed to be living in his home town is just relative, they are the very few who dared to. An Hausa man will not find an Igbo lady attractive if he feared the in-laws will not welcome him, unlike in Yoruba land where integration might be seamless. Igbos are not great host like you want us to believe. It is only Igbos that have running battles with both Hausas and Yorubas.
It's an open truth that Igbos town or city are not destination choice for serious minded business men. Not only because of lack of economic opportunity alone but the hostile nature of the people that drive away foreigners. It's not only by burning shops that you drive people away from your land. When you continously steal their goods to run them down you send them to early graves.
You wonder why many Igbos like you are still stucked in Yoruba land because they welcome you or your parent in the first place..
Your people brought nothing to Yoruba land when they came...now they prosper and easily forget the good will of those that showed them love to excel... Many like you are picking the wrong enemies to fight..you should instead be grateful to your host.
Usually Igbos quickly develop animosity against people that helped them whenever they sense that they are now equals. They always believe they are smarter than people who are obviously better and more informed than them. lol at 'stealing their goods'..you have got large imaginations..you surely know igbos more than they know themselves..please go round most Igbo towns if you would not see Hausa settlements that are even encroaching villages...as for Igbo towns not being placed for serious biz men I leave you to your ignorance...if you have problem with igbos admit it but don't be dropping half truth here and there |

splashbaby: I have been to all the 36 state of the federation and lived five years in Agbor, 4 years in Uyo. Served in Owerre and presently living in Minna. You just affirm the truth.. . Religiously, Igbo don't even accommodate their fellow Christian if their are not catholics. This is in-born, how do you expect them to accept the Muslims in their fold especially when they are stranger. Compare that to the Yorubas that will have all members of their family practising different religion. Yoruba usually don't care about who you are what you practice before relating to you. They love to have good people around... Good Igbos trive in Yoruba land because they show them love. you are now deviating...from saying that other ethnic groups are not in igboland(you had Yoruba in mind) because igbos are not accomodating.. Now on hearing about large Hausa settlements in igbo land you now reverted the hausas there keep to themselves that they do not mix(as if it is only in igboland that they do so)..bigfrancis had let you know that Hausa shops and individuals are not attacked in igboland unlike what happens up north you now diverted to marriage and bigfrancis have giving you the reason of religion....how many Hausa Muslims you know marry Igbo ladies up north?...next thing you now diverted that it is now Igbo Catholics...pls do not give me that talk about yorubas relating with you without caring about where you are from and the likes because from my experience yorubas like relating with you if their is something to gain from you....if you do not know the meaning of accomodating go to the dictionary and find out |
