The super eagles job will be hard for a Nigerian to do... The amount of pressure from agents and NFF officials on Rohr right now can be overwhelming. Everyone trying to add their player.

Kenneth Omeruo is trending on twitter for no good reason. One agent is doing his job. Omeruo is expected to make the list anyway.
i though as much i wondered why he was trending..on clicking his name i did not see any meaningful reason why he should trend

Just because that's what you think,Epl is the toughest league in the world but pep won the league with a record 100 point and 106 goals you guys aren't even ashamed, the so called leg breakers stoke chop 7-2,pep has never scored 106 goals with his Barca team a team with Messi and pep has never won laliga with 100 point,I think pep make the Epl look like farmers league.

Go and ask pep if he has ever won a match at anoeta the home of real sociedad, the last time I remember the top 5 team in England has won stoke in their stadium.

Now please prove me wrong if what I am saying is not correct.
you do realize he is actually mocking epl fan boys?

It may be somewhat for Iwobi. He has played alot of games this season.
nope.. he wasn't a super regular (didn't start quite some games, almost always substituted and didn't play at all in some).. so he is good to go.. if not that ndidi unfortunately injured himself he was still one of those I was slightly worried about (his present injury isn't really an advantage of he does not get fit enough for the mundial)

Killer goal by Nacho. Love how he evaded Wanyama. Good thing WC is next month.
Nacho, Musa, Iwobi, etc are in the form at the right time
and at least fatigue will not be an issue to them judging how their season went

Not just football, the whole coaching setup in Nigerian sports needs a shake up. Olympic games in 1992. Nigeria vs USA in boxing. The American boxer outclassed his Nigerian opponent in the first round. This was how the 2 coaches reacted:

American coach:"keep your jabs low, you're hurting him, you're hurting him, he opens up...boom, we got this"

Nigerian Coach: Kiloshele? Kiloshele? Kiloshele? Kiloshele? Kiloshele? Kiloshele?

Victoria setubal of 1990-1994 someone was busy scoring any how in Portugal and you expect him not to be invited, yekini scored 90 league games in 114 games, bros this is a difference scenario.

Someone that won African player of the year in 1993 and you expect him not to be called for the 94 World Cup?

Stop comparing that year and now ,and the last time I checked pele never played in Europe to be called one of the greatest,we all know such can't happen now
yep but setubal was still below average Portuguese team not so?

they have question marks in central defrnce

i think 2006 team was stronger they had a young emerging messi, decent coach in pekerman, good balance of youth and experience
apart from batistuta, diego simeone, cannigia and jose chamot most of the squad members of that 2002 squad were at the peak of their prowess..most were also between the ages of 25 and 31 which some sort of age range players play their best footbal..if you watched their qualifiers you will understand where their coach marcelo bielsa deployed high octane attacking football

big names don't make a team but a strong unit with understanding and team cohesion. the costa rican team to the last world cup is a good example. if having big name players is the only criteria to justify a team that will be successful then the Argentine team ought to be among the hopefuls of this years world cup or would have won the two last edition of the copa america cool
individual quality wise the 2002 argentine team is the strongest since 1986 but they bounced out in the first round

That's w very misplaced and misleading comparison.

Nigeria midfield 1994 JJay, Oliseh and Adepoju by 1998 they had progressed with the addition of Oruma, These players were playing at the top clubs of Europe at that time. PSG, Juventus, Real Sociedad and Marseille. Add to that our attacking force of Yekini, Amokachi, Emenike, Finidi, Kanu, Ikpeba add to that our defensive string line up if Uchechukwu and Taribo.

Team spirit doesn't win matches without quality players. Can you honestly compare the current bunch with set of 1194-19998.
errrmm..greece 2004 euros?

i Don't see anything wrong with our team cohesion, our problem will be luck....it would have been an easy ride if naija was in egypt or Senegal group

should incase we make it out of the group in second place, we are going to meet France.

but if you want to be the champion then you have to beat the best
depends on what the position both nigeria and france ends up in

sometimes i do wonder if some of this euro-born lads are well advised when the opportunity to play for Nigeria arises. Jordan torunarigha would have made it to the world cup not only that but would have been one of super eagles shining lights in Russia, also ibe who i believe is better than Simon Moses. i pray their decision don't come to hurt them later. any info about uduokhai and akpoguma playing for 9ja in the nearest future? also the nff should re-approach PEC zwole's ehizibue who is rated as one of the best right backs in the dutch league. also there is a certain mandela egbo in the ranks of monchenglabach who is highly rated and have tipped to see more playing time next season in the bundesliga
problem is how many 'feel' nigerian?playing for national team isn't really the same as playing for clubs..i mean jordan ibe was actually insisting that his surname is pronounced as 'a-i-b' instead of 'i-b-e'.it shows how disconnected he is from his roots...now this is different from say an ola aina who from reports obviously feel nigerian and has attachments to the country

But it still wasn't a red card incident to me tho. I mean, he kicked out but he didn't connect. Go watch that incident again. He didn't make any contacts with the Greek player. The Greek player sold the ref a dummy!

I was actually surprised that Nigeria didn't protest the red card, after the game.

O pari
whether it connected or not it is a red card..did you see the way he kicked out?
