Why is it that when someone brings up this kind of topic or something related to it people will jump in commenting whether igbos will survive or not even when the person is not igbo huh/

everybody seems he or she competent to say whether igbos wilol survive or not.

you are talking nonsense, which yorubaman is in the PDP,is it a ceremonial position that obasanjo have, that he as stop going to PDP meeting. Is that the position. Which other person is yorubas in PDP that Yar adua have not accuse falsely of something. Name that Yorubaman that yar adua have not tried to bring down.

what is securing is bases in a nation where the largest ethnics group is yorubas. what power does saraki have, that is nonsense. saraki is not more than any other pdp governor. Because they make him take minute at meeting, then is that powerful. Even secretary is more powerful than him. What different is bakole from a northerner. Bankole father was always against the yoruba, please find find history. PDP gave the only position that they allocated to a person, whose family history have shown antiyoruba, you say yorubas are in PDP.

And I was talking about the budget. last years. this same yar adua who have shown that he hate yorubas did the same. check last year budget. he used just less than 9% in allocation either to state, local governement or otherwise in yorubaland.

Look we honestly want the yorubas in the military to overthrown him. we honestly do not want him in power again. i am been honest with you. if it meetto terminal this democracy we would do everything to remove all of them. Even those senators and rep. Tell your people in power to get ready for war, even senator and rep, we would clear. we yorubas we do something about yar adua and all those senators and others. dead people do not execute budget.
Keep dreaming RAM

We can give them the presidency to pacify them a little bit. But of course the presidency will be given to people like Vincent Ogbolafor or Andy Uba and of course we have him sorrounded by powerful Northerners in the Army and in the Senate. The House of Reps is ours, and so that wont be a problem
And we are hoping that nigeria will be better.

@tharma and @BecomeRich

Two of you are the reasons why Chinua Achebe  wrote about the 'igbo problem' in that his book the 'The Trouble with Nigeria'
As for you @BecomeRich you seem to be confused. You are here supporting tharma and yet you posted a thread saying Yaradull(hausa/fulani) hates yorubas.

shocked Guy na wao for you ooo!
Abeg Dino Zoff last played 4 italy in the 1982 world cup which italy won
Daniel Passarella was the captain of argentina that won 1978 world cup.He last played in mexico86

To be honest i do not think nigeria will ever get a team better than USA94 squad with way football is been run this days.

Some have returned to Nigeria and done good things like the former finance minister, yet others have done what has come to be the norm with Nigerian political leaders, like Afikuyomi and Fayose who I seem to remember were based outside Nigeria.

One of my husband's friends was supporting a political party in the West and was promised a role in government for his contributions and support etc. When the day came, he was offered Director of Cocoa industry or something of sorts but he refused it saying it was too small for his contributions. If he had good intentions, he would have taken the role and turned the place around; after living in the UK for 25 years or so.
He wanted his share of the national cake. tongue

964 was still a regional government and that was the Premier of the Nothern region talking about the his government in Nothern Nigeria. What do u expect him to do?
Whether it was regional goverment or not why would he prefer a foreigner to his own countrymen in 'one nigeria'?Was that comment not after our independence in 1960?

Guys sorry this country must remain one, when we asked for it you guys refused, now that we have increased our stake in One Nigeria you are calling for division, we the south easterners have more stake in Nigeria more than any other tribe, the marriage must remain and it is for better for worse.
your might be right.

poster if you do not know

most nigerians see nigeria as an enterprise to make money from and not a nation or country to serve and build because there is no feeling of nationhood amongst its people

Until you solve this mindset you cannot make nigeria great

Na wa oh Tpia!

You severely dissapoint me. So using generators to power homes is now the 'creative solution'? Then everyone in Lagos has already passed your test of developing a 'thinking mentality' given the number of generators on the ground making Nigeria the highest importer of generators.

The thieving governor's son spending your power generation money shouldn't be tackled, no, be practical and keep on killing yourself with sulphur dioxide and carbon monoxide in the name of 'practical solution'.

Go and read my threads on power generation in this same politics section - I won't derail this thread, but I have given my candid opinions on what should be done there in rigorous detail. Like I mentioned earlier, your erroneous claim that this is somehow linked to my 'secessionist agenda' or 'blaming government agenda' is laughable.

Furthermore, I don't need to 'make constructive criticism' on this thread to somehow prove that I can/have done so. My main crux for posting here (in case you missed it) was to challenge those whose response to an unpleasant but factual report is to excuse the situation on ground, instead of accepting the reality of the situation.

You can call it moaning if you like, but like I said earlier, without deep dissatisfaction with the current state of affairs, change will not happen.
Quite frankly i do not understand tpia's arguments at times.
