PoliticsRe: British-born Michael Adeboloja Labelled A Nigerian: Why? by AtheistD(m): 4:16pm On May 23, 2013
@ OP

You are on point. He is a british-nigerian... the same way Philips Idowu is a british-nigerian. If they cannot accept one, why must they accept the other.

He is a brit. No doubt. Radicalised in the UK by race hate preachers in the UK. It has little to do with Nig. Even in his rant he never mentioned Boko haram or any Nigerian problems. He was talking about Iraq and Afghanistan. He has no affiliation with Nig other than his familial background.
Feed me more: Western media bais, nothing more.

If he was a white Caucasian, he would have been termed 'a Lunatic'. Or a deranged fellow who should see a psychiatrist.
He looked like he needed to see a Psychiatrist. He clearly was high and probably had psychological problems. Possibly schizophrenic.

PAGAN 9JA:
^ Impossible. If we accept absolute atheism, then we lose our culture and tribes.

No. Nigerians need spirituality. Paganism is the answer.
We can keep our culture and still be atheist. The japs do it. I just think paganism is not the solution. Not in Nigeria anyway. No offense pagan9ja but imagine the amount of human ritual sacrifices that would take over and babalawos that would be in every mangrove and forest for such.

I dont know, I just find it difficult to swallow. sad

thelonelyshadow: So, from what i have read, the problem is not islam in general, it is the culture of the people.
However Islam is somewhat blurred in many areas and hence the people use Islam to do what they want. So Islam is still responsible to some degree.
IslamRe: Sheikh Ibn Uthaymeen On Suicide Bombings And Suicide by AtheistD(m): 3:56pm On May 23, 2013
So how can this statement be highlighted in mosques by preachers and Imams? It sounds very serious. Think about it... not only are these suicide bombers giving Islam a bad name, they are also going to hell (according to Islam). It should be the duty of the Imams to make sure they do all possible to dissuade people from this.

Rossikk: Nigerians are not ''blaming anyone''. The country is among the fastest growing economies on earth.
See below:

Rossikk: Cry me a river, Mr Defender of White Racists.

Perhaps if the British govt had not gone round the world colonising and creating 'Empire', and disrupting nations left, right and center in order to enrich themselves, there would be no impetus today for those immigrants to leave their countries today in search of 'a better life' in Britain.
So you were blaming the British after all. Other nations were colonised. Their empire spread from the Americas (including the United States) to China. Why must we be the only ones to stop trying to work to better ourselves? No, we prefer to blame the British. How is "blaming the British" going to improve our lot in the world. We need forward thinkers not deluded ranters. Oh, and I am not a slave wink .

Rossikk: Did they complain to you or your white masters about spear chucking before your white masters came in and started stealing, looting and killing en masse? When will you and your white masters return the looted TRILLIONS you STOLE? Why should it be forgotten that your white masters are in possession of our LOOT which is why they are rich and we poor? If tyey had left us to our spear chucking duties' would we have decided to go and sit on their doorstep? Olodo rabata.
Side by side with the rest of the world... how many years ago? We need to move forward and not backwards. We keep blaming them when others in our situation have quickly moved on and are forging ahead.

People like you are the reason this country will struggle to move on... the blame syndrome. The "we are not guily of any problems... it is our colonial masters fault" mentality is allowing all manner of evil and mayhem to be perpetrated without response.

No, they would have been chucking spears at each other instead. We have had many years to get it right in the country. We cant keep on blaming the British and the West.

baby_123: Omo Ijoba (Government pikin). Government, abeg hold your pikin, pikin, hold and embrace the government. grin. They kuku like to tell parents how to raise their kids. I really dont think they should be highlighting the Nigerian angle, as these are British kids. British kids to the core for that matter and a product of government policies, and system. Still though, the rash of increased violence by kids of Nigerian origin in the UK is pointing at something. The parents are not doing enough, not their fault when the government will tout any effort.
They spend all their time working and partying. The kids are literally left on their own for too long. We see it with Nigerians in the UK a lot. They become disenfranchised and lost. Many Nig kids are now junkies too, smoking weed and taking heroine and other hard drugs. This has very negative effects on the psyche.

PoliticsRe: Phone Thief Must Die By Hanging - Supreme Court by AtheistD(m): 2:46pm On May 23, 2013
He is not a phone thief, he is an armed robber. A thief steals, an armed robber uses a weapon to terrorise his/her victims and then steals from them.

Armed robbery is a much more serious crime due to the potential for deaths during the operation to occur.

Tough sentences need to be passed down to armed robbery gangs no doubt.

igbo_barbie: I really do not understand what is happening to me this year. Everything seems to be going wrong for me esp academic wise. I am currently doing my postgrad and this year i feel like i do not have the motivation or passion for my course. It really is a challenge for me to study and am constantly feeling drowsy or i get ill. Migraines, stomach aches, body pains and recently acid reflux or just always something. I also cannot seem to concentrate for long. This is not me because i have never been this way before so i really do not know what to do anymore. I"ve spoken to a pastor about this before and have prayed for me but things have not really improved. Over the past year and a half i have not really been that strong in my faith such as praying regulary and going to church. I dunno what to do and where to start but i want to get closer to God, i want to have that fulfillin relationship with God because i know that i cannot go on like this anymore. All advice and prayers are welcome. Thanks
Have you gone to a doctor and gotten a thorough assessment? Do that first. Then take a look at changes in your life etc. Focus, ambitions and dedication can be hard to maintain over legthy periods and we always go through periods of highs and lows. try not to allow that get you down. Also, how are you performing on the course? Are things on track or are you struggling a bit? In regards to results of course.

FamilyRe: When Can A Nigerian Woman Divorce Her Husband? by AtheistD(m): 2:27pm On May 23, 2013
Biggoozz: Divorce is a cancer, It has destroyed America and I am happy it is not going to be very successful soon in Nigeria. Of course violence and cheating against a spouse is criminal and should be dealt with, but we must find other family healthy solutions and not divorce.
Cheating is not criminal.

Nuzo':
A lady once told me that one of her conditions to date me is that I must be a jealous lover. And to show that, I must scold and beat her up if she does something I don't like. "Such act give me closure and assurance" she said. huh

True story!
She only told you what a lot of women are afraid to say. No need to beat them but be jealous. Nig women love men that are jealous and constantly on their neck over any attempted indiscretion. They cheat on those who are nonchalant and calm. They dont respect calm men.

tpia@:
wow, quite deep.

however, as the bible says, when you give, expect nothing in return.

some people have a giving nature its not always a good thing, and sometimes you can fail to realize others do not have the same mindset. Doesnt necessarily make them good or bad, it all depends.

so, whatever you do, do for God, not humans per se.
Always expect something in return, not necessarily to you. If I give, I expect the person I have given to help others freely like I helped them. If everyone reciprocates then society is less burdened.
