Screaming and shouting like possessed ppl is just an unfortunate by product of certain branches of xtianity. It is a psychological means to shake ppl up mentally. Once you pray aggressively you feel good about yourself. Nothing to do with the spiritual. Have you seen how ppl speak in tongues too . You would expect half the ppl there to be sectioned instantly under the mental health act.

And why scream and shout commands at God? Some pray with the ferocity as if they would physically assault God if they ever met. That their prayers must be answered by fire by force!!!!!

The current practices in xtianity are breeding a new group of schizophrenics and psychologicaly impaired ppl.

To most xtians life is just something to go through while waiting for the real deal. a sort of pre-intimacy.

If Obadiah refers to bible passage that calls someone fool because the person says there is no God, he might be doing that because he believes that the bible is a higher authority. But it will be wrong for any individual to call another fool. While we all know that our belief is guided with our philosophy and observation, many times it does change if someone with better understanding can take time to explain or argue it out, but not with abuse or quarrel.

How does Christianity make ones life better?

Imagine you met a non believer ont he street and you were evangelizing them. If they asked:

Why should I worship your god?
How will being s xtian make my life better?

How would you approach it. Bear in mind they do not know anything about xtianity so quoting scripture wont be convincing.

Neither paedophiles or rapists can ever clamour for rights in a proper civilised society. Infact paedophilia is almost accepted in many xtian 3rd world countries. Also many 3rd world countries look down on rape victims.

For example countries like Nigeria focus too much on homosexuality (with new laws) but are doing very little in regards to paedophilia and rape.

In civilised socities victims of rape and paedophilia are being given more rights.

There is nothing spiritual or even christian about tithing. True christians who have come to the knowledge of truth don't tithe as it is preached in churches today and most tithers tithe becos they are ignorant of the truth. That asides the tithe scam has absolutely nothing to do with proof that God exists as God never required tithes of believers in the first instance.

These pastors collect tithe fraudulently and hence damage Gods reputation as well as the religion. Does God stop or punish them? No. They become even more successful and bigger. They even boast that their success is testament to the fact that they are doing Gods work.

Either they are doing Gods work and being blessed or God does not exist and hence they are not being touched. Why is it that no dodgy pastor suffers from any spiritual problem? Why dont they ever come out to confess and ask forgiveness? God is not there. He cannot tackle them because he does not exist.

Yes but the pastors do and that is all that matters.

Being a pastor is now political. They have all these associations like CAN setup do they can involve themselves in politics and gain financial rewards.

Also, what stops the reinvestment of 80% of the tithe into charitable works.

Tithe should also not be compulsory.

No one is arguing about faith here. How do we know who has faith and who doesnt? The point is no statistic has shown healing by replacing lost limbs through miracles. Pastors and churches are very smart not to allow ppl who have lost limbs to come forward for healing.

Look through the thread and see some ambigous responses by xtians on the topic some claiming generational curses, others that they dont need healing

striktlymi: I am a Christian! I am a Catholic christian and looking back I don't regret mmy decision to become what I am. My parents were not always Christian and by extension I was not either but I decided to be one just like my parents were converted too. In a way you might say I changed faith from paganism to Christianity.
